weird and horrible how as soon as a girl turns 18 she loses any protection from being taken advantage of… 17 and a half is a child but just turned 18 is fair game for male sexual predators

Soft veins curve around porcelain colored hands.

I long to hold them, to feel them around my hips, to hold as if they were my own.

His face holds a blank expression, eyes stare seemingly at thin air. He cannot see my tears.

Smooth nose, high cheekbones. It looks as if he was molded by a god.

My golden tears fall upon ivory skin.

I can long for him for eternity, but he will never know what it feels like to touch warmth.

Aphrodite herself pities me, for I can never love a mortal man, only a lifeless statue.

Cabinet Man

(Inspired by the song by Lemon Demon)

They day you found the old arcade game, it looked like it hadn't been touched in years. Dust and spiders littered the area around it.

It was quite a boring box, not having any descriptive art on it describing the game. You kicked it. Something flashed on the screen. It looked like...the face of a man?

Not paying any attention to it, you decided wander around the abandoned arcade. It must have been quite something when it was filled with people. The children probably lined up to play...whatever this game was.

Noticing a crumpled paper on the floor, you decided to pick it up.

"You can't win me. I can't be beat."

How ominous. Further down, there was more writing.

"I won't hurt you, unless you cheat. I am half human and half machine."

Now this was getting disturbing very quickly. Taking a glance at the game at your feet, you jumped back when you saw a man in the screen staring right at you.

Eyes widening, you decided to hit the screen with a crowbar that was near you.

You hit it until it was broken. Quarters burst out of the box's internal organs.

Wait a minute...were those..lungs? And a brain???

Some type of liquid spilled out of the box.

A strong smell of iron filled the room.

No. This cannot be real. That liquid and that smell are not what you think.

This is not true.

A soft, masculine voice spoke out.

"Don't be afraid, I won't kill you for breaking me. Instead I'll just make it so you can never leave."

What the hell is this? Is this turning into some type of dystopian book or something? Im not gonna stand for it. We have to do something.

This is the worst thing. The worst. Because they all know climate change is real and dangerous, but instead of doing something about it and save lives and prevent an ecocide, they’re making money off it. They’re churning out fake studies showing that coal is great and they’re using their media to brainwash morons into hating the green movement and they’re moving like sharks on anyone trying to do anything good, and meanwhile they fucking know we’re right and they’re fucking getting rich because of it. 

Again: not a fan of the death penalty, but this should be considered high treason and people should be beheaded in public squares for this kind of bullshit.
