Broke: Dan Heng sleeps on a mattress on the floor in the Archives because he's just so used to sleeping in even worse conditions due to being raised in the Shackling Prison.
Woke: Dan Heng sleeps on a mattress on the floor in the Archives because the data bank entries are his dragon hoard and he needs to protect them.

The Importance of Remembering
Fandom: Genshin Impact Rating: G Pairing: Baizhu x gender neutral reader Words: 567 Warnings: Memory loss (no more than you'd encounter from Qiqi in canon, honestly)
You're falling for Dr. Baizhu, but you hesitate to do anything about it every time Qiqi doesn't remember who you are.
-------------------
Your ‘career’ at Bubu Pharmacy started off as a request at the Adventurer’s Guild.  They needed someone to deliver medicine to some patients who were outside the city.  Given your combat skills, it was easy enough.  You hadn’t even run into danger.
Eventually, you ended up with a direct arrangement with Baizhu.  You were reliable, and it was easier than putting a request up and hoping for the best.
Sometimes, you hang around the pharmacy.  Herbalist Gui always has a friendly wave, but he’s often busy.  Baizhu is the one to talk to you.  Other than giving you your instructions for deliveries, he often has stories about his day.  They are never very much, as he takes patient confidentiality seriously, but you take what you can.
You love hearing him speak.
The other member of the pharmacy is… complicated. Qiqi is famous, or perhaps infamous, in the city.  She’s a hard worker, but she has memory problems, and she often gets sidetracked. More than once you get back from deliveries, only to be asked to go get Qiqi.
“She was supposed to be home hours ago,” Baizhu would say every time.
She never remembers you.  You have to assure her you're a friend of Dr. Baizhu’s for her to come back with you.  He’s always thankful to see her.  He treats her like his daughter.  And every time you show up only for Qiqi to not remember who you are, you look to Baizhu and feel like this is a barrier.
You can’t blame him.  Why would he want to be with someone who has to explain who they are every time they show up?
One day, though, something changes.  You don’t have any commissions or deliveries for the pharmacy.  While doing some errands, you remember Qiqi talking about how much she likes coconut milk.  You’re not doing it to necessarily get on her good side.  After all, it’s been so long that if she is going to remember you, wouldn’t she have done it by now?
You’re doing it because at the end of the day, she’s a little kid.  She deserves a treat every now and then.
You show up at the pharmacy with the bottle in hand.  Herbalist Gui waves but goes back to the customer at the counter.  Baizhu comes out of the back, and when you explain your reason for being there, he nods.
“Qiqi,” he says over his shoulder.  “You have a visitor.”
Qiqi appears slowly behind him.  She was probably labeling things.  You know it’s often her task when she isn’t out gathering herbs.
She looks to you. Then she looks to the bottle in your hand.  As she sleepily shuffles towards you, she says, “Oh… hello, (y/n).”
Both you and Baizhu freeze when she says your name.  You look to him, and he just shrugs with a baffled smile on his lips.
You tell her you brought her coconut milk, and she nods.  “Thank you… (y/n).” There’s your name again.  You lean down, giving her the bottle.
The treat received, she disappears into the back again.  You didn’t expect her to say much, so it’s not a disappointment.
You lock eyes with Baizhu as you hear the door shut behind Qiqi.  Without giving yourself time to think, you point out it’s almost noon, and ask if he’d like to have lunch with you.
He says yes.

Despite that I've only done Neuvillette so far I'd be up for writing pretty much any of the Genshin characters, both male and female. So if you like my stuff and have a request, feel free to send it!

The Trouble With Corsets
Fandom: Genshin Impact Rating: R Pairing: Neuvillette x fem!reader Words: 732 Warnings: Oral sex (fem receiving), implication of more, slight breathing problems (from a corset tied too tight, no choking or other breath play during sex)
You go to a party with Neuvillette, but the 'after party' is what you'll remember.
---------------------
Neuvillette had been around more than long enough to know how upperclass parties worked.  People gathered in a large room, champagne flowed, and things were discussed.  Things that went right over your head.
The looks you received all night, however, did not.  You had gone into this party feeling anxious, all dolled up in the flowing dress Neuvillette had gifted you when you said you didn’t own anything appropriate for the party.  You were just a member of the Adventurer’s Guild, one who’d testified in court one day and caught Neuvillette’s eye.
He was softer and kinder than you expected.  And the gazes he tossed your way all evening almost made up for the fact you’re pretty sure the woman who helped you dress tied your corset much, much too tightly.
The evening ended early when Neuvillette finally noticed your discomfort- despite looking your way, he’d been constantly distracted by this noble or that one.  You’d smiled and nodded, introduced yourself when asked, but mostly you’d stayed silent.
The party had been near the opera house, and on the aquabus ride back to the Court of Fontaine, Neuvillette turned to you and said, “You didn’t have to stay if you were uncomfortable.”
You assured him you weren’t, though at this point you were gasping.  Definitely too tight.  But how were you going to undress yourself when you got home?
It turned out you didn’t need to.  As soon as the door to your tiny apartment was open, Neuvillette had you in his arms, kissing you and gently running his fingers down your back.  You were already dizzy, and it wasn’t from the one glass of champagne you’d had at the party.
By the time you both reached your bed, he’d started undressing you.  And when he got to the lace on your corset and tugged, you found yourself gasping.
And for some reason, that made you both laugh.
The corset was tossed aside to the floor even before your dress was.  It was clear he understood the discomfort you had endured.
“Let me assure you,” he said as he leaned down, capturing your lips in a kiss, “they are not meant to be that tight.”
You wanted to reply, but the kiss distracted you.  And then his gloved hand was exploring your body, over your curves, admiring you like you were a treasure.
That’s what you were to him, and he genuinely looked regretful he hadn’t noticed your condition earlier.  You try to assure him that it’s okay, you didn’t want to embarrass him, but that just seems to make him more regretful.
“You could never embarrass me.”
Your face is flush as he removes your dress as well- it gets thrown to the side, ending up over the chair at your desk.  An idle thought drifts through your mind that you don’t want to ruin that dress- you hadn’t seen the price, but it was probably more Mora than you made in half a year.  But that thought didn’t last long.
Not when he’d removed your panties and was pushing your legs apart.
Your moans were always his favorite, and the noises that tumbled from your lips as his tongue pressed against your folds only encouraged him.  He moved his attention to your clit and you were squirming.
But then he was removing a single glove, and the moment he pushed two fingers into you, you cried out his name.  He was gentle but firm with you in bed, always.  The thrust of his fingers in your wet cunt went deep every time.  Your legs were shaking.
“Are you going to cum?” he whispered against your folds.  All you could do was nod.  “Then do it.”
As if that command was all you needed, you hit your climax, stars bursting in your vision and your back arching to take his fingers back in.  They were still thrusting, milking every bit of pleasure he could from you.  You felt like if he kept going, you’d reach another climax.
And then he pulled his fingers out, and he gazed at you.  Your chest was heaving, your body covered in sweat already.  A whine left your lips as you pressed your legs together, just trying to get some stimulation.
“Don’t worry,” he said, leaning down to press a kiss to your forehead.  “I’m far from done with you.”
It would be a long night.

Sometimes, It Just Rains
Fandom: Genshin Impact Rating: G Pairing: Neuvillette x gender neutral reader Warnings: Vague mentions of death, dragon sadness
Neuvillette never told you about the rain.  But you knew, anyway.  It was an old legend in Fontaine that it rains when the Hydro dragon cries, and knowing his true identity, you had started making connections.
It rained when people died.  It rained on days there were trials sometimes, usually ones involving children as the victims.
But sometimes, it just rained, and you had no real answer for it.
No matter the case, you would go to your beloved’s office to find him at his desk, turned to face the window.  Sometimes there would be work on his desk, seemingly forgotten as Neuvillette contemplated his day.
On trial days you’d ask him to vent his frustrations.  On the days someone had died, you’d ask how Neuvillette knew them and listen to happy stories.
The days where it seemed as if nothing had happened were the worst.  Because you knew he was thinking of something you didn’t know about. Something that had happened years ago, years before you even existed, that you may not be able to fathom.
On days like this, you’d just approach him and hug him.  Eventually, the rain would cease, and he would ask if you’d like a cup of coffee.
It wasn’t a permanent solution. Untangling the emotions under the composed facade of Chief Justice Neuvillette would be complicated.  But that was okay.  You had the time.

So like.
I was looking at Traveler's Hydro kit and realized something fishy (no pun intended).
Now anyone who's played through Genshin enough realizes that Traveler's elemental kit for each nation is always just Archon Lite. But I was comparing it with the leaks for Neuvillette's and...
This is Hydro Traveler's skill:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This is Neuvillette's skill:
Tumblr media
And if you'll turn your attention to Neuvillette's Charged Attack: Equitable Judgement:
Tumblr media
Their bursts aren't quite that obvious but they do both cause continual Hydro damage to some degree.
So.
Unless Furina's kit ends up being really similar
Hydro Traveler's kit isn't based off Furina. It's based off Neuvillette.

After watching the leaked footage of characters diving in Fontaine, I'm really excited to see the different ways all of them move around underwater.
But also I can't get out of my head the thought of Geo characters just sinking to the bottom.
Zhongli tries to swim in Fontaine, sinks to the sea floor.
It's okay.
He didn't want to go see Furina, anyway.

Hi, guys! So I recently lost my job (after quite a long time of being treated like shit and gaslit about the problems). I'm looking for a new one, but until then I'll need funds.
So I've opened fic commissions. I'll write a 500 word fic in either the Genshin Impact or Honkai: Star Rail fandom. Any character and pairing, including character x reader. If you want something longer than 500 words you can message me through here or Ko-Fi for a custom commission.

Baizhu is one of the most relatable characters in Genshin. I, too, can't even move without feeling like I'm dying.
