Of the near 1,000 hikers that attempt the trek to the summit of Mount Everest yearly, not all of them make the decent back down. Due to the cost and ferocity of the weather, many find their final resting place on the mountain and further serve a very important purpose as trail markers for aspiring mountaineers.
