look i won’t pretend that bristlefrost’s death scene wasn’t well written i just personally think it’s stupid she died . i don’t think it’s a worthy death in my opinion. something about it felt cheap and idk why, i might need to think on this for a while before i can articulate it

ummm i will say i cried quite a bit in this book though LOL graystripe and firestar play fighting when they met again made me 🥺

personally i think darktail coming back for what, two chapters? was also kinda silly. like i was expecting scourge to come out of somewhere after that like cmon

really hate how they are just reordering the code instead of fully tossing it and rewriting it, feels kind of like a cop out after all that honestly but what do i know. also hate that after everything starclan cats were STILL being absolute dicks to the dark forest cats. really silly to me, i thought the whole thing was going to be about how blurry the lines of morality really are and that the warrior code ultimately does not determine how good anyone is, only their actions afterwards. like starclan being like “well i guess we were wrong about ashfur lol” and someone being like “does that mean they’ve been wrong about others?” (looks at dark forest cats who literally almost double died to help them and several of which openly atoned for their actions) and then starclan being like “UH IDK LOL 🤷‍♂️”

like shut UPPPPPP i hate starclan so much lol

really hate that i’m still going to read the new series once it comes out i’m getting so tired. god i hope rootspring doesn’t either 1) get a mate and just instantly become Okay after naming one of his new kits after bristlefrost because i would absolutely not put that past hunters and co or 2) is ALWAYS talking about his grief and trauma. not that i don’t think that’s valid i just am so weary about how these books portray deep sadness that i would get so tired of it immediately LMAO

pelt: are you a genetics purist or do you focus more on how you visualize the cat when reading?

nooooooo i don't think genetics are worth thinking abt in warriors in a serious sense because if we wanted to be accurate the lot of them would be a bunch of like pale orange tabbies because of all the .... interfamily relationships LMAOOOO

i do think for the sake of fun experimentation using real cat genetics to guide your designs without being concerned too much about being accurate is really neat!!!!

i try to remain in the like, realm of realistic stylization i guess LOL.... like i like to make designs that TECHNICALLY you COULD MAYBE see a real cat with something similar , i think it's kinda fun . kitty designs is fun

omg no i am SO lazy i haven't draw a background in . forever . backgrounds are the enemy . i do like drawing plants sometimes as like an accent but full backgrounds are >_<
