In a world where everything changes fast, we decided in 2018 to create the first lifestyle for artisans butchers #mycapitainshop
#sevendaysmission is one of the way to showcase both our photography skills and the virtuous circle we believe and we are fighting for #thefirstworldwidelifestyleforartisansbutchers
Showcasing a virtuous circle of meat technicians, breeders and ethic consumers can’t be a hobby : you have to consistently following and creating technics & practices in SEO, marketing, social media, and so on #nonscolaesedvitaediscimus
Sharing the most important & relevant informations on our social medias is not a part time job : the strong part is to being able to grow a strong & relevant audience and attract a base that’s highly engaged with your content and brand.
Level up a visual branding is an every day duty and need experience & strategy #ususmagisterestoptimus
This is why it took us more than a year to create a team of high skills designers #squadoftopdesigners
We had to learn and understand what social networks were and then we learned what visual content was and we were faced with a mountain to climb #amatvictoriacuram
We realized that our first base made with our team of experts wasn’t enough so we trained ourselves in the practice of photography in order to create high quality visual content.
Being photographer is a profession and we were far from suspecting so much intricacies and the huge skills to get and we are still far from mastering all the essential technics to being able to master this art #arslongavitabrevis

#sevendaysmission is a photo reportage that keeps us busy for 7 days where we meet breeders and then 7 nights that we spent in our audi near specific’s spots.
We left in the night of the 11th of July 2020 from Antwerp, Flanders (Belgium) and came back on the 17th of July 2020 in the middle of the afternoon.
We understood how important it is to take into account the light conditions during a photo mission.
That’s why during almost all of these nights we were parked near or in some cases on the farmer’s property (with his prior permission): this way we were able to be reactive to the right moments for capturing images.
The first photo session was usually taking place between 9pm and 11pm, then after a short break, we were ready for the second photo session from 4am.
We did photo sessions during the day but with the hard sunlight especially during some days in July, we got very different results from our night and morning sessions.

#sevendaysmission is a photo reportage where we mainly used three lenses that we adapted to our Nikon D5300
our new TAMRON 150-600 mm telephotolens which allows us to discover a whole new experience of photography but which remains imposing and relatively heavy (2kg) so we always have to plan a tripod to work on long sessions.
our fixed focal length SIGMA 35 mm F/1.4 the ideal mate that offers us a wide and ultra realistic angle of view.
our 85mm F/3.5 medium telephoto advanced macro lens which is becoming more and more popular as it is extremely versatile and allows us to take portraits with beautiful background blurs (bokeh)
A photo mission for mycapitainshop is above all the opportunity to give ourselves 300% in the practice of photography #nonscolaesedvitaediscimus
Using 3 different objectives forces us to go outside our comfort zone and therefore allows us to keep improving our skills.
