movie night with the gang!
Companions favorite Disney movie?
A/N: Howdy, howdy, folks! I know it's been a while, but I hope y'all enjoy these! 🥰💙💛 I've been extremely busy and have sort of lost motivation for this fandom, but I'm going to try to play Fo4 soon and see if I can muster up some more motivation 😊 I still have some fanfic to write and some reactions to do and I've got to get my butt in gear!
Cait - Brave. It might seem like the obvious choice because, well... ginger twinsies.... But she loves it because of the constant action and the fact that Merida wields a sword and a bow while also riding a horse often at the same time. She also secretly sort of finds herself vicariously living through Merida and wishing she would have had a family like hers with parents that actually loved her.
Curie - Inside Out. It's sciency and presents a fun, creative way of examining the brain's functions. She would prefer that Disney be more realistic, but despite her slight disappointment, she also understands that it has to be presented in a child-friendly way that would keep a kid's attention. A close second for her would be Big Hero 6. Honey Lemon is her hero.
Piper - Zootopia. She finds herself very much relating to Judy Hopps most days. Just a girl in a big city and a big world with the chips stacked against her and hardly anyone on her side as she fights the good fight. She also enjoys Judy's optimistic, sarcastic, energetic spirit that she upkeeps in the face of adversity. It's something that Piper herself has done her best to maintain.
MacCready - Finding Nemo. As a concerned dad with a struggling young son of his own, he can relate to this movie greatly. Plus, a bonus is that he likes to mess with F!Sole about being Dory, which she never seems to appreciate nearly as much as he does most days.
Deacon - The Emperor's New Groove. All of the jokes and the lightheartedness of the overall movie is totally Deacon's style. He always quotes the movie afterward and drives everyone at HQ crazy with his rather awful impression of Yzma.
Codsworth - Flubber. He sort of is crushing on Weebo the robot assistant. Granted, he says he has no sort of manner in which to facilitate such feelings since he is not programmed to feel things like that, but he raves over her enough that everyone can see he clearly has some manner of feelings.
Hancock - A Bug's Life. He doesn't really know why, but it cracks him up every time he turns it on. Of course, he's usually high when he's watched it, but that's not the important part. The important thing is that it's anti-grasshoppers and after the stuff he saw at Nuka-World, that suits him just fine.
Danse - Toy Story. He would rather die than admit it, but he likes the movie for the odd reason that he heavily relates to the spaceman. His perspective on life and his soldier-like dedication to his mission is truly outstanding. He also strangely relates to him in many ways, but he's not quite sure why.
Preston - Brother Bear. He enjoys the deep feelings and meaning behind the film. It's such an underrated yet good film and it has a really great sound track as well. He also has a strange affinity for Toy Story because of Woody and his steady dependability.
Valentine - Old Yeller. It's traditional and it has that sense of old-timey living that Nick can appreciate. He also enjoys the deep emotional quality of the film and the fact that it's about a good, loyal, brave dog. Kind of like Dogmeat.
X6-88 - Maleficent. He enjoys her sense of humor and her sense of taking care of business and revenge when people do her wrong. However, his favorite non-Disney movie is The Matrix. He firmly believes the coursers' design is based on Morpheus and he secretly thinks he looks like him most out of the courser models.
Dogmeat - The Fox and the Hound. He loves nothing more than to howl along with the dog on there. Finally a movie that actually has a character that speaks his language! The dog also actually successfully befriends other animals in a way that Dogmeat never seems to do too well since they're always trying to stomp on him or kill him. He also is a fan of Bolt.
Strong - Monster's Inc. Firstly, Strong doesn't like movies. They're confusing and make no sense because what do you mean those things are not really there? They're standing right in front of him! But he likes Monster's Inc more than most because Mike Wazowski looks like a super-mutant. An ugly, one-eyed freak super-mutant, but nevertheless one of his kind.

fantastic!
DAI Companions reactions to repeatedly being mistaken for a young/teen Inquisitor's parent or older sibling.
Cassandra: At times it feels like she is, and yet it is never something the seeker begrudges. This young person has stepped into a role no one their age should have to fulfill, and with so many relying on them to save the world at least one person should be standing in the role of guardian and protector of their interests. She only wishes it could be her sole priority.
And if, in quiet moments, to have a sibling again is a balm then it a truth no one else need know.
Varric: He was a lousy brother, though is was not as if Bertrand was winning any awards either. But he never really understood the pressures his older brother was under until stepping into part of that role— and Varric never had the strain of ailing mother or the loss of Orzammar on his shoulders. No, he is not sibling material.
But no father could be prouder of a child than he is, watching their young leader stitch the world back together. Kid needs looking after, and Varric Tethras is honored in the burden.
Solas: If the Inquisitor is elven, no matter his plans for the future, the rift mage feels a sort of obligatory kinship to the da’len so far from clan or kin. Children have always been precious, especially to the Elvhen who did not conceive so easily as humans.
For any other inquisitor he does not correct those who make the mistake, and will turn it into a familiar joke later that the herald must be the most attractive of thei species to be mistaken for an elf. It hides how little he cares for the comparison.
Kin slaying is a terrible crime. Best not to build the relationship from the start.
Blackwall: In another life Thom Rainier had scorend the idea of children, and taken pains to ensure that his dalliances would not conceive a bastard he had no intention of claiming. Now his family name is hardly worth the claiming, and he is grateful his only sister took her husband’s name long ago and is free of his legacy.
But as a warden, true or otherwise, Blackwall is honored by such a comparison. If his presence has had any small benefit to the young person upon whom such a task is laid then he is honored by the comparison. And while he would be the first to argue that no one is better off in his care or keeping, Blackwall would be the first to lay down his life to protect theirs, and will do everything he can to make sure they are well.
Vivienne: For the sake of his grown children- and the wife who had done her duty in the bearing- Bastian could not have given her a child. Even if he could have protected it from the clawing hands of the Circle, whose laws had forbidden such a gift. To be a mother was not in her future, and in her youth Vivienne had taken steps to ensure such an accidental fate could never befall her.
But she could have been. In the quiet moments through out the years she had imagined how such a child might grow, might flourish under the love and guidance of two parents who so deeply wanted it. And while the Inquisitor is neither replacement nor surrogate for that dream, in this young person Madame de Fer can see a reflection of what might have been.
If she takes care to guard their appearance, coach their behavior and prepare them as best she can for the great game, it is easily couched in the truth that it benefits the Inquisition to do so. The truth of her affection is hidden away, no further burden on shoulders already heavy with titles and too few years.
But she can dream.
Sera: When she does think about her childhood, the few times it has to be examined, Sera would not have minded another small person to have run about with. It might have made the lessons and the lies less lonely, to know someone else was there to ride through it with.
But there wasn’t. And she didn’t. And she likes the Inquisitor, is happy to have them as both friend and Friend. But family is a sore spot in the tapestry of her life, and adding patches to warped thread does not fix the faulty loom.
Dorian: It is the worst nightmare of most high born alti, that one’s parents might conceive a second child to rival them for the familiar seat in the magisterium. Never a risk for Halward and Aquinea, whose duties to each other and the marriage bed ended w it the birth of a living and magically inclined son.
And yet Dorian would not have minded a younger Pavus knocking about when he had been a boy, someone to share the duties and adventures of Minrathious in those few years before duty locked away simpler pleasures. But when he is first mistaken for the Inquisitor’s father, first mistakenly assigned that guardianship and all it brings?
It staggers him, how deeply the role could fit. For all that their creation is anathema to them, Dorian Pavus would never scorn a child of his blood. Of any blood, in truth. If their herald is young enough and without guardianship, without a future once Corypheus is defeated…
It is a thought for later.
The Iron Bull: Where is the lie? Was he any less worthy of the imereki than those who had left them behind? The feelings that well up when the mistaken role is given do not surprise him, and Bull is perhaps the easiest of any besides Cassandra with taking on that burden. The Chargers are his family, and if they survive the Storm Coast the little Herald is gathered up into that fold without question.
And even with one eye he can see the second Dorian accepts and even relishes the idea. The Iron Bull didn’t come South looking for a family, but one may well be within his grasp regardless.
Cole: “Shared name, shared memories, tied together by all the things that matter. Even when we don’t agree there is still love and trust, striving for something greater than we are. Yes! We are a family. That makes sense.”

im screAMING-
DA2 crew reacting to Hawke who stops caring? Maybe after the death of Leandra they just stop showing any kind of emotion? Not even rage or sadness it's as if they're made tranquil but without the need to be cut off from the fade instead, it's their emotions that are cut off. When they finally ask Hawke they simply shrug and respond with
"Why do I care? Everyone leaves me or they want something from me only to stab me in the back, why should I care anymore?"
Just, just pure angst heartbreak something that will hurt I BEG FOR THE HURT JUICE!
WELCOME TO THE JUICE BAR! HERE THERE BE ANGST!
Varric: He gets it. For most of the time, amongst the odd band of friends he has made in the City of Chains, Varric puts on a very convincing show as the devil may care rogue with the world at his fingers and no weight on his shoulders.
But on the nights when he is not walking through Darktown killing...well, anyone who crossed their path really, it was hard to maintain the mask. When the last drunken drunken warbler had left or past out or otherwise left the Hang Man silent in the wee hours even his tavern rooms couldn't keep the echoes at bay. Brother, father, mother, ancestral culture and society; all of it gone before he was even respectably middle age. He'd lost Orzammar before his first breathe, and no matter how in the Merchant Guild he climbed no surfacer would ever be anything less than a casteless outcast.
Normally that didn't bother him, but on the heaviest nights...He can't bring back everything Hawke lost, and isn't fool enough to try. But he can be a friend, a port in the storm. Once Hawke's mindset is known Kirkwall's resident story teller makes it his mission to be a constant bulwark for his friend. He has let them flounder for too long-- dwarves might not be great at swimming, but Varric will not let Hawke drown.
Bethany: It takes a long time for her own bitterness, at a life of endless hunger and exhaustion and nightmares of a Grey Warden that she would never have chosen for herself, to fade enough for her sibling's silence to truly register. Their mother's death had been a terrible blow, a severing of the last parental bond, but it had also heralded a silence from Kirkwall that...
Well, that she had come to take for granted. Varric still wrote like clockwork, his letters a comforting and humorous glance into the city that had been home so briefly, but after more than a year the remaining Hawke sibling looks up to realize she has had not a word in months. Her last letter was so bitter, penned in grief and anger and without thought for the child who actually had to see and bury Leandra, but now those caustic words eat at her own mind.
Distance has bled off the pain, and the missive that goes to the City of Chains is almost meek in comparison to her fiery words. But the letter she receives makes silence preferable-- she can feel her sibling's desolate apathy through the short penned lines, and for once she aches for the cramped paradise of Gamlen's hovel when their family was mostly whole.
They do not write again, and in her shame and sorrow she does not ask them to. A Grey Warden is meant to leave all their former life behind, and yet somehow her older sibling has managed to cut loose of those bonds-- and Bethany finds herself clinging to a life that she cannot save.
Anders: Justice roils, unsettled and uneasy at the terrible symmetry. There is no sunburst scar to mark the sundering of mind and fade, no judgement rendered to murder life and emotion, and yet tranquility would almost be preferable to the empty aching sorrow. Hawke had always been a vibrant soul, built for purpose and life and determined to make their way in the world no matter the cost. But this...
There had been a time when Anders had been that alone. The loss of friends, of family, of the chance to have a life of his own. Even the freedom of the circles had still left him chained to another institution, no matter how preferable the Grey Wardens might have been. Isolation was a like an unhealing wound, pulling at the body and soul until there was nothing left to fight it. A sepsis of the soul, where no surgeon's blade could cut it free.
There had been no true isolation since Justice had come to him; it feels like a betrayal to admit he missed it.
And oh Anders wants to comfort his friend, tries to be there and sets aside (as much as his fracturing mental state will allow) the conversation of mages rights for other conversation. Brings food and wine and tries to rekindle that spark that had always been in Hawke's soul.
But his plans for the Chantry -and the looming betrayal that must carve them apart once again- keeps a pall of guilt over those efforts. It seems crueler somehow -infinitely more so if they are in a romantic relationshiip-to build up only to destroy, and so knowing he cannot help one of his first true friends in the city is another burden to lay against the cost of mage freedom on the scales of Justice.
Isabela: At first she brushes it off as a bad day, nothing that a trip to the Hanged Man and the Blooming Rose can't clear right up. She's had a few of her own, after all, and knows the liberal application of lover and libation to be a perfect solution for gloomy moods. Friend or lover, she knows how to raise the spirits.
But when that doesn't work, when her efforts are shot down again and again in that same terrible, dry tone, something distant and awful howls in the back of her mind. As the captain of a ship she is good at watching for storms and reefs, for the dangerous shoals that can render a ship little more than kindling or the hurricanes that turn even the greatest ports into unsafe harbors. There are no maps to nagivate here, no sounding charts or sextant readings to guide her to calmer waters.
She has looked death and danger in the eye with laughter and a ready blade, but the dull and distant apathy in her friends eyes shakes her like no nautical challenge ever has. They tetter on the crest of a wave, and for all that she might scramble for control the trough might be too much for them to weather. Emotions have never been her strong suite, commitment not in her wheelhouse. Isabela is shallow and vain by her own admission, made for the life at sea and not meant to drop anchor forever.
But when she takes a heading, she takes it true. It will be work, work the captain is not at all sure she is capable of, but in all her long life Isabela has never abandoned a crew member gone overboard. And even if Hawke is determined to struggle against joy and life and recovery, she will not let them drown.
Aveline: It is so, so tempting to lay pain for pain. To compare the loss of home and husband and life against the inevitable (if untimely) loss of parent, the grief of lost siblings and broken friendships to the struggle of proving herself to the guard. Who are they cut themselves off from those who love them, when no one is untouched by loss?
But the simple and terrible truth is that pain is a terrible equalizer, and lays low all who come before it. Aveline has fought for her position as a guardsman, and then guard captain, and is proud of her duty. But she is also too well aware that the burdens laid at her desk are nothing like that of a Champion of a city, and that Kirkwall has for years asked far more of Hawke than it has given in return. Her friend has never waivered, never failed in their devotion to a city that never stops taking.
Her own rise in station comes of both her work and theirs, and with a pang Aveline is suddenly unsure if she has ever let Hawke know how deeply grateful she has been for their friendship-- from that first day in Ferelden onward.
It is not in her nature to look back and regret on mistakes that cannot be fixed, or dwell too much on old sorrows. With Donnell's help she can only move forward as a better friend, a better companion. To make sure Hawke knows without question that they are loved, and to guard them and their future as she does the city they will build it in.
Fenris: Everything he touches, it seems, must be laid low.
There is no question that his social skills lack a certain...polish, nor that on the whole Fenris and society are mostly estranged. He in content to live in his decaying mansion, to make a life devoid of company when not traipsing through Kirkwall with a ragtag bunch of friends. He does not seek out company often, is not comfortable with the idea of the vulnerability that friendship requires with more than a handful of people.
It does not occur to him until Hawke's empty and apathetic words that those actions and attitudes might hurt more than himself. Hawke has been a better friend and compatriot than Fenris ever dared to hope for, certainly better than he had the right to ask for, but his actions have not been equal to that friendship. He has let them suffer alone, or at least mostly unsupported, and that is...
It hurts like the Fog Warriors hurt, needless betrayal when something better might have been.
There is a cold blessing in the memories of a life enslaved being ripped away by the lyrium, even if the experiences after were hardly kindness itself. But Hawke must live with it all, the pain and betrayal and the crushing isolation that comes with duty. Fenris has chosen to be alone, at least, in his self imposed solitude.
Hawke has no one.
It is a bitter vintage of guilt, particularly for a romanced Fenris who has done more than most to cause such pain. But he has not come so far in life without being tenacious, and commitment to a goal is keen to success. If he must finally leave the mansion behind, to spend everyday with his friend until that sorrow is as distant as his life in Tevinter, than it is a sacrifice worth making.
He will bring the good wine--it stands up well to despair.
Carver: There is a sort of inherent loss of self, when you have a twin. For all that Bethany and he had been different people, it is at times unavoidable that you be lumped together by even your family. It is rarely malicious but often very annoying, and was in some ways the catalyst for how much he envied his older sibling's singular triumphs and failures. There was no one to share that spotlight with, and it burned at something deep within Carver's soul.
The bitter grief that came when Bethany was gone, gone and leaving him with no one to lock step with, did not lend itself to mending the hard feelings for his older sibling. While not so cruel as Leandra to lay blame at the eldest Hawke child for his sister's death, her absence creates a void that neither can ever truly fill.
Time heals some wounds, of course, but distance and duty can cauterize what has not yet healed. Leaving his life behind to take the oath of a Grey Warden is perhaps the most freeing thing he has ever done, and if it is easier than most to carve away his past life...he is well named for it. That is not to say that the news of his mothers death does not pain him, but his new brothers and sisters a balm in a way family has not been in the past.
It is cold comfort when Varric's letter, with the uncertain request to write to his sibling in an attempt to ease their pain, makes them uncomfortably aware that years have passed without correspondence. Somewhere between the Deep Roads and his duties the oldest Hawke sibling ceased to be a daily thought for him, and Carver is ashamed to realize that he was relieved when the letters stopped. He does write a few stilted lines, unsurprised to receive no reply, and tells himself he can do no more.
If his father's face haunts his dreams with imagined disappointment and grief for months after, let that be penance enough.
Merrill: If Clan Sabrae still lives she will find it difficult to relate, but if Keeper Marethari's actions have cost her so much more than Merrill is painfully aware of the pain of total isolation. Hawke does not even have the eluvian to compensate their struggles, and for a time the Dalish mage is unsure how to help.
So she simply listens. Even if it is apathetic silence, or quiet sorrow, or even howling rage, Merrill stays. Her friend has never abandoned her, not in all the time she has known Hawke. Their life has been a bitter one, with duty and grief and helpless loss too mich a companion. Nothing she can do will fix the past, but she can prove to them with the consistency and patience of her presence that they are not alone.
The introduction of baked goods to that listening and support is also, in her experience and delight, a helpful tool. Among the Dalish shared food is the foundation of family and community, and in time she will use it to bring hope back to her friend.
Creators, let her succeed.

I remember seeing the DAI crew with an unarmed martial arts type Inquisitor, so I request this DA2 companion react to a mage Hawke going full Chuck Norris on a group of bandits after their Mana is depleted using their staff as a Bo staff like Donatello or just fists
Bandit leader, smirks: "oh ho you dare approach me?"
Hawke, Tosses staff over shoulder: "I CAN'T KICK YOUR ASS WITHOUT GETTING CLOSER!"
Varric: He's running book before Hawke takes the first swing, and is unsurprised and unphased when his friend returns victorious. Honestly, given how much shit he sees in Kirkwall, this is nothing.
Aveline: As soon as they get back to Kirkwall she is marching them right up to the keep and enlisting Hawke to train the new guard recruits. If she can get them to fight with even a fraction of that skill they will go through much less daggers.
Also, given all their other odd talents, this does not phase the guard captain. Fereldens are a scrappy bunch.
Carver: This is nothing. You should have seen Old Man Bowers at the last Lothering Harvest festival. Pretty sure his sibling actually broke the man's jaw with one finger.
This is nothing new, and yet somehow the damn shadow he has lived under has somehow gotten longer.
Bethany: It wasn't Old Man Bowers, it was the miller's father, and he had dared to pinch Leandra as she was walking by. Bethany had healed the man's jaw and skull to avoid issues with the guard, but Malcom would have been proud of his eldest's defense of their mother.
Also she just made five sovereigns off Isabela. A good day all around.
Isabela: Now that is impressive. Could make some serious trouble in Lowtown a lot easier if she could throw a punch like that. Might be a thought for later.
After she wins her coin back from Bethany in Wicked Grace. Should never have trusted that innocent smile.
Anders: Yes yes, you just punched a mans head off, good for you. Now get over here so I can fix those knuckles, Maker I am getting tired of you lot....
Wait, did you just punch a man to death!?
....Can you do that to Meredith?
Merrill: Oh that is impressive! She's not sure human necks are supposed to twist that far, and she didn't know you could kick a man into the air! Could you do that to a tree? Would it hurt the tree?
Oh, they aren't supposed to twist that far!
Fenris: Moving, breathing art. Even if they are not romanced he has never been so attracted to them until that moment. He will give Hawke as much of the good wine as he wants to learn that leg sweep rib break combination.
Maybe if he can get the timing right, he could lyrium kick someone in half? Worth consideration.

please read this its sooooo good
hey, you, write that second part rIGHT NOW
so,if they are romanced they are usually the one there when the inquisitor wakesup if not the first to be there is random healer 125, also known as Nerida, she is a lovely little lady you'd love her. i think you can also really tell that i started getting tired a bit into these because holy fucking shit it never ended
Past Addiction trigger warning to Cullen's romanced version.
Part 2 to this
Cassandra: The Inquisition is nothing without its leader and this becomes apparent the month without the Inquisitor. The worst part is that since she blames herself, Cassandra works herself to the bone trying to keep everything together out of guilt. She is so exhausted she has started falling asleep during her training breaks and its at that point Josephine draws the line, and thankfully around then they all get the message that the Inquisitor has woken up. Cassandra enters sheepishly, somehow horrified the Inquisitor will actually be upset at her- it's worse when they just smile at her, a confused but gentle smile. Cassandra doesn't start crying in front of them, thank god, but it's close. She spends her time filling them in on little details they'd miss, like Sera's latest pranks or who poor Cullen had to deal with yelling in his face recently. It all feels so terrifyingly normal that she can't help but wonder if she imagined the whole past month. But then she looks back up at their tired face and sure enough- it's a grim reminder. ''I missed you'' she admits accidentally, and then she leaves and cries in the hallway. If Romanced: The doors to the Inquisitor's chamber are slammed open, because sadly Cassandra can't sit around their bed all day. She had only been gone for five minutes to give Cullen something and suddenly she is being told that her love is awake and she just bolted. Her breaths are heavy and she looks at them with awe before picking her sprint back up again and crumbling on top of them in their bed, forgetting how frail they are after a month of no movement. Tight and comforting hands cling onto her shirt and Cassandra sobs, for once not caring who sees. ''I thought you'd never wake up'', I thought I'd be alone again, I thought I lost you. It was my fault, words that keep being repeated between apologies as she makes an internal promise to never let go again.
Solas: He probably should take this moment to speed things up a bit, but Solas honestly can't bring himself to it. He instead spends hours reading over old magical tomes with healing magic written inside it hoping that he'll find some secret trick to uncovering the mysteries of a coma. He doesn't, instead, all he finds are things that would've been useful a month ago when they were on the field. Solas frustration grows and it's obvious to those around him but he keeps a relatively well grip on himself, and then they wake up. Just as suddenly as sleep stole them away, it gave them back and he is in absolute awe when he goes to visit them. the Inquisitor seems so confused and well-fragile, and Solas isn't sure how he feels about seeing someone he saw as the answer to all his problems looking so breakable. He gives them a gentle smile, a pat on the arm, and a sneaky little joke about it all that they laugh at and then he offers some tea. Tea double-checked by the assigned healer, of course. If Romanced: When the Inquisitor stays asleep, Solas tries to find them in their dreams- and when he can't he almost considers seeing if he can just knock himself out to find out where they are. There's something frightening about not knowing something for once that he wasn't prepared for, staying by their side for hours at an end. Most of his research is in their room now, taking up desks and bookcase space. Solas doesn't burst into tears or act up when he sees them wake up, he jumps into the role of a healer. He ignores their whines of complaints when he goes through all the necessary steps and tries to not smile at their 'You're acting as if I'm a child' comments. Eventually, Solas lets his professionalism fade and he laces their fingers together, presses a kiss to their forehead, and quietly whispers words of adoration in elven. Solas doesn't cry in front of them, that is saved for when he goes to get them something to drink and he crumbles into a pile in front of their door- choking down the sounds of his sobs. He isn't sure how he will survive the future after this, and he isn't sure if he has the strength to look them in the eye, he almost lost them- and he'll lose them again.
Dorian: It's not really on purpose that he keeps hovering around their room. Dorian just does it out of habit one day and never really stops, waiting for them to wake up- and if he isn't there is pacing around the multiple bookcases unable to make any words stuck to his head. Dorian can't focus, he can't no matter how much he tries and for a month straight he is going through the motions like a robot. And then they wake up, and Dorian somehow can't believe it. It feels like a sick prank somehow and he doesn't entirely believe it until he sees them and then he finds himself holding onto their shoulder for dear life. It makes it more real somehow when his friend is saying his name and laughing at his hovering and mother-henning. Dorian doesn't cry, not until much later in the day when he finds Iron Bull seemingly taking a similar break and he crumbles in seconds. If Romanced: He is by their side, as he is every day. Dorian is cleaning up small things, moving pillows, and replacing the water of some flowers left behind by Vivienne. And then the Inquisitor moves, see this has happened before. Dorian thinks he is seeing something that isn't there so he is just left staring at the Inquisitor's hand as if he has seen a ghost and then they move again and Dorian forgets for a whole minute that he is a healer as much as the next mage in Skyhold. He is a panicked mess with tears running down his face and thank the maker for the healer that had been assigned to the Inquisitor for quickly making it back. Dorian curses them out once things are calmer, tears flowing as he presses soft kisses to their forehead and the Inquisitor laughs at him. ''Never do that again.'' He whispers sobs choked behind a smile as he clings to the love of his life. Death could take anything from him, but not them.
Sera: If you've ever seen someone in denial, it's her. She refuses to let people even mention how many days its been around her and she makes it her personal mission to make anyone daring to even consider the Inquisitor not waking up, live their own personal hell for a day. It's practically a month of walking on egg-shells around her when discussing the Inquisitor, and fair enough. When they wake up she loudly enters their room, no care if they are sensitive to noise whatsoever because she is loudly rambling on about her latest prank as if just a day has passed and maybe that's for the better- it's easier sometimes to pretend nothing bad happened. Sera focuses on how to sneak in something edible with all the healthy rubbish they're making the Inquisitor eat and making sure her friend knows that if that happens again she is killing them herself, thank you very much. If Romanced:.Sera never knew how to grieve, especially not the living. She keeps arguing that Inky is fine, but at the same time, she stares at them and knows they're not- because if they were they'd wake up. Her pranks have lessened over the past month and she finds herself lacking sleep, and it's all very annoying. She is picking up cookies from the kitchen, a part of her is convinced that if they just smell something good they'll wake up, when a familiar healer runs into the kitchen and tries to hurriedly explain that they're awake. But she doesn't get further than that because Sera pushes past her and up the many stairs in Skyhold to the Inquisitor's bedroom. All the stress and frustration come out into a blow-up, angry yelling with tears that just turn into crying by their bedside as they comb their fingers through her hair. She is so angry they had to go through that and she doesn't know what to do with herself except kiss their stupid face and tell them that if they ever do that again she'll shoot them.
Blackwall: He knows how to keep himself busy, as always. Blackwall makes enough carpentry works to fill an entire room in Skyhold, and he only feels a little bad when Josephine sighs as he admits that he is out of space. But it keeps his mind from wandering to the Inquisitor's limp and lifeless body being dragged out of the water during rough nights. Blackwall will remember where he is when they wake up for the rest of his life, down to the smallest little detail like the weather or if there were candles lit in his room. Blackwall visits and awkwardly hangs around the edge of their room until the Inquisitor laughs (he'd missed their laugh of all things, what a peculiar thing to miss from a person), and tells him to stop being like a scared baby animal. They spend hours talking like old friends and Blackwall wonders how the world ever expected him to survive without them available for chats like this for much longer. If Romanced: Oh, it's not pretty, his reactions after a month of this. A month of the Inquisitor asleep, stolen away from him by cold water and things that could've happened to anyone. For weeks he sits by their side wishing it was him, begging to switch places. He even has the horrible wonder if a demon could change that place for him and quickly buries that thought by doing things with his hands. Blackwall is back in their room, placing a new wooden decoration to the collection not far from their bed when he hears wheezing sounds. Maybe it was words, once upon a time but now they're just confused small noises that an animal could probably replicate. Blackwall doesn't even have to call for a healer because they hear the ruckus of him stomping over and fucking hell. They're awake, they're looking at him in confusion and grasping onto him and he isn't sure if he will ever see a more beautiful sight in his life than them waking up. Blackwall presses a kiss to their hand, making sure to move further up towards their head while not letting go- ensuring the healers get their space. ''I'm right here love, I won't leave.'' It's such a simple promise but it's everything and more for them, and he knows it. He won't leave, never again and neither will they, not like this at least.
Iron Bull: Probably the one most equipped to handle stress, honestly. Bull keeps himself busy with the Chargers and everything else, they all switch places to keep 'guard' over the sleeping Inquisitor. Iron Bull doesn't even know who suggested it, if they even did, or if they just sensed that mutual need for protection and naturally found an order for how to do things. Either way, it's Krem who runs over to him with out-of-breath words and says that the Inquisitor woke up. One month and three days into their coma and they woke up with a confused expression and a surprising amount of crying, according to the healer that was a natural response to it all- Bull is pretty sure they were just on the brink of death and then pulled back. Even the bravest would cry about that, natural bodily responses or not. He visits with a big grin and lame jokes, even offers to sneak them out away from the hovering healers if they need it- or barring the door from visitors when things get too much. Iron Bull makes it his personal mission to ensure that their recovery is as painless as possible. Maybe he drinks a bit more than usual at the tavern that night, but that's only natural, he supposes. If Romanced: Bull knows the importance of a good support system, and he appreciates it more than ever when the chargers jump into action after the Inquisitor goes into their coma. They all take turns checking in on the two of them, Krem and Dalish deliver far more flowers than would ever be needed but he appreciates it. He isn't sure how many nights he has spent looking at their limp hand in his own, counting the small scars and whatever else is present. Bull wonders what he will do if they never wake up every night and he thanks everything in the world that he doesn't have to find out. They wake up crying and confused, tears falling before he thinks they even notice. Bull calls for the healer, the one that had been lingering around him nervously while working. He doesn't leave the Inquisitor's side for a second, just smiling and grinning as he does his best to hide the signs of exhaustion on his face. They get maybe 30 minutes alone of him whispering how much he loves them, filling in the gaps of memories that they desperately are searching for- when the Chargers fall in the door. They're all like a lot of children seeing their parent for the first time in months and he is pretty sure Dalish is crying as she runs inside. The room gets hushed instantly but it's all hidden little whispers and mischievous laughs as they fill in the Inquisitor on everything. Loving Iron Bull meant loving the chargers, but he wonders if the Inquisitor knows that at this point that was just as true for them. Now, if he hovers after they get better still? That is his business.
Vivienne: She takes it upon herself to be Healer 2.0. Vivienne is actually far more hovering than the actual healer hilariously enough and spends just like Solas, an unnatural amount of time looking into the study of the body. When they both come up blank, she just falls into that familiar rhythm she had the last time someone was sick in her life. It makes her blood run cold every time she feels like it's all far too familiar, the fluffing of pillows and changing out flowers. It's a month of pure dread and occasional peace. They wake up when she is out in the garden getting some fresh air, pretending she isn't feeling the familiar pull of exhaustion that everyone else is haunted by and she will admit that she triple-checked everything the healers did after they woke up with absolutely no shame. Vivienne is like a scolding mother when they wake up, taking their face in her hands and narrowing her eyes at them as she makes sure they're actually more or less fine. She'll never tell anyone that she cried into the night because it brought back uncomfortable memories or that she had nightmares that things got worse. That is her burden to bear, instead, she'll just keep pestering about them drinking water.
Varric: Unlike some, Varric knows to let someone rest after they've been knocked out for so long. It's been a month and he doubts they are any less confused than those who were just out for a few days. But the day after the Inquisitor wakes up, he walks inside and almost crumbles when he sees them in their bed. Their eyes are tired and their hair an absolute mess but they're awake and alive. Varric sits down by their bed, and he checks in on them he always does after any battle- it doesn't take long for silence to settle and then he crumbles. The Inquisitor gently holds onto his hand and he tries so desperately not to crumble and he can't help but cry just a little bit. He couldn't lose more people, he couldn't watch more people be taken by the world- he isn't sure if he has the mind for it anymore, and seeing them like that? It was scary, it was too much like seeing Hawke after- either way, they're fine now. They'll be fine. Varric reads them stories now that they're awake, not mentioning he has already read them all before just they were asleep throughout it.
Cole: So, maybe it's breaking the rules, but Cole hasn't left the room since the Inquisitor was put in there. He has felt this need to watch over them and if that comes at the expense of himself, then so be it, Cole doesn't care. He notices them move, shift and the pained sounds erupt from their throat when they come to. The healer fusses and Cole lets them, he knows to not interrupt. But then she leaves the room to run off to get someone and he sees it as his moment, carefully and quietly steps forward and the Inquisitor looks confused for a moment before relief washes over their face. And he wants to cry, they look so happy to see him and he feels their fear and confusion all too well. Cole holds their hand, and they feel so fragile suddenly and he doesn't like it. He tells them little stories about what they've missed, try to fill in the gaps of memories from that night- they're not okay but they will be and Cole will be there to make sure of that.
Josephine: She turns to work. There is so much of it now that the Inquisitor is 'out of commission (as Iron Bull put it to make everyone more comfortable), and she has absolutely no issue with that. It lets her forget how chilling it had been a month ago to see them get put in their bed, limp and dead looking. She has some nightmares about it, about the Inquisitor, never waking up and losing not only a friend but a leader, and the implications of it all. How much Josephine would miss small things like having tea together or gossiping. When they wake up she cries in her office for 20 minutes before collecting herself enough to visit, and then they ask if she has cried, and well- she starts crying again. Josephine playfully complains that it's their fault but then falls into the usual of repeating how much she missed them, how she was more than overjoyed they were finally okay. She takes it upon herself to fill them in on every little thing they have missed, down to the tiniest detail. If Romanced: Oh, she wishes she could spend every moment by their side- but Josie sadly has to sit in meetings and reach deals. Her patience for people is far thinner than usual and runs out more frequently the longer time goes on. A month in and she has a routine to it, she wakes up, reads to them, and makes sure things around them are pretty. Then she goes to do her duties, smile at people and pretend she isn't holding Skyhold together with strings at this point- and then she goes to cry in her office with the doors closed for an hour or so. And then she'd just go spend the rest of the evening by their side- but she is partway through talking to an absolutely obnoxious Orlesian noble when the healer runs in and says that they're awake. Not just stable but awake. Josephine has never run faster in her life. They're confused, with a few memory gaps but its still them and she can't even bother attempting to hide her tears when she sees them. Josephine isn't above climbing into their bed with them, pressing little kisses to their face and whispering about how much she missed them, how scared she was. Josephine decides then and there she will simply have to marry them if they'll let her, because the love in their eyes is something she can never see herself wanting to be without again.
Leliana: She isn't sure when she slept last. There may have been a few fleeting moments here and there but they were so short she couldn't really appreciate them. The Inquisition doesn't fall apart but it damn near does crumble and she is never going to let it get to this point again. The Inquisitor wakes up when she is receiving a report and Leliana considers running there instantly, but can remember the Warden getting knocked out for a night or two and the confusion that settled after that. She appears hours later with some much-needed food and smiles for the first time in a while, checks in with them, and provides any details needed. She doesn't admit how much she missed their stupid jokes or anything like that but she lets herself cry with relief that night in her bed.
Cullen: Well, fuck. Cullen had hoped for a momentary thing, maybe a day or two knocked out but it'd been a month. He is helping Josephine and Leliana cling to control as best as he can but they can only do so much, the three of them. He is one of the first to find out the Inquisitor is awake, of course, yet he doesn't visit until a day later. Cullen shows up looking tired but relieved and he sits down at their side and makes it very clear that if they ever do this again, he'll climb into the fade and drag them out himself- thank you very much. Their laugh is such a relief and he feels his muscles relax with every smile and grin thrown in his direction. Cullen wasn't aware of how scared he felt until this very moment, when it all washes over him and he feels safety and gratitude for the smallest little parts of their interactions.  If Romanced: Cullen takes things a bit worse than others, probably. He glances back at the familiar rectangular box in his office and for moments of weakness considers going back to it because he is convinced they won't wake up. Why should they? The world took things from Cullen as if it was a continual punishment and it's no different this time around. Somehow the man has warped it into his own mind that it's his fault. He is by their side, reading through letters sent as he usually does. Some from his family, some from their friends who were out trying to hold down the fort while the Inquisitor was - well asleep. That's the word he had chosen to pick for this, not acknowledging they're between life and death. And then he sees movement, a hoarse sound one might mistake for words coming from the Inquisitor's throat and he doesn't even realize he's yelled for a healer before they're in the room. He stares in shock, pushed back as tests and spells are being worked through. Cullen doesn't leave though, refuses to, and can't be budged even if they try. He sits in the corner until he can come closer and then he answers any questions asked- he whispers love declarations and pitiful apologies. Cullen never reveals how close he was to breaking but he thinks they know, it's probably written all over his face.

Hey, what if the Old Champions manages to survive the blights and got put in the Link treatment? (In a coma for 100 years and lost their memories) Would they go on a adventures with Link?
This got very long, sorry no cut, I'm on mobile. However, enjoy the champions waking up, and facing their blights!
*Blue
Mipha
He had a sinking feeling when he first saw the cave that it was like the one he awoke in, and, unfortunately, he'd been right. There was a zora in the pool of water, and he hesitantly touched the slate to the console. A dull memory pounded at the back of his head as he watched the water drain, one of friendship and love and warmth. And then she jolted up into a sitting position, eyes wide, breathing shaky. Her gaze drifted to Link, and she calmed.
"Who... Who are you?"
"I'm Link. Who are you?" She paused, thinking.
"Mipha. Where are we? Why don't I remember anything?" He shrugged.
"Your guess on the memory is as good as mine. But we're near Zora's Domain." She nodded a bit to herself, climbing out of the pool.
"Well, I suppose I should thank you for... Waking me?" He shrugged again, unwilling to tell her she'd nearly died. "Would it be alright if I came along with you for a while? Until I find something I want to devote my time to."
"Not a bit. Welcome aboard, Mipha." He gave a bright smile, and she returned it.
Vah Ruta
"This thing doesn't like staying still, does it?!" She ducked out of the way of its spear, coming up with her own.
"Not really!" An arrow sunk into the eye of the thing, and it howled in pain, shooting upwards. And then the water, and the four platforms in the room, began to rise.
"Get on a platform, Link. No offense, but you're useless in the water."
"Great offense taken! But so is the advice." He clambered onto a platform, readying his bow. The thing was in its orb form, deciding where it would reform. It settled for right on top of the hero. Before he could fire or she could intercept, the spear slammed into his side. He was sent flying, and she was reacting before she knew what was happening. One hand reaching out, grabbing Link, power flowing through it and into him, closing his wounds. The other pointing toward the creature before lifting, a column of water slamming the thing into the ceiling. She shot through the water, depositing Link next to a platform, spear ready. The blight was dazed. She sunk her spear into it again and again and again, and it writhed. Screamed. She felt no remorse for the thing. And it hovered away awkwardly, reforming oddly. It screamed one final time, and exploded. Vah Ruta was free. Mipha had a brother to get to know, a father. A friend to help, and one to free.
Urbosa
His gut sank when he saw the shrine built outside the cave, the shield and sword that were left to rest there. He quietly entered, and sighed as he saw another shrine of ressurection. A gerudo lay in this one, her long hair splayed around her face. He activated the shrine, studying her. She felt... Familial, almost, though he clearly was unrelated to her. And then she was awake and on her feet. A warrior, his gut told him, though he felt no fear. She studied him for a moment, and then he took a breath.
"My name is Link. You probably have no memories, I didn't either when I woke up, you almost died a hundred years ago, so anyone you did know is probably dead. Well, aside from myself and Zelda, but we're weird cases, and-"
"You've certainly got quite a mouth on you." His eyes widened, and he clamped his mouth shut, looking away, earning a soft chuckle. "No, no, please, I'm teasing. It's pretty endearing, honestly. So, where are we?"
"Not, uh, not far from Gerudo Town. But I'm actually headed the other direction, have to get something back from the yiga, and-"
"I'll come with." He was surprised at the cold fury in her voice, and for a second, it looked like she was too. But it passed, and he nodded, turning to exit.
"Well, let's go then."
Vah Nabooris
"Shield, Link!" He glanced at her, and lifted his shield to her, bracing it with his other hand as she leapt off it at the blight. A swift slash had it screaming, shooting upwards. And then there was a thunderclap and lightning coursed through its sword and its shield. A shouted curse in gerudo had the hero staring at her in disbelief (because of the shout, there was no way a Hylian voe knew gerudo, right?), and then she was bolting forward, dodging slashes and stabbing past the shield. The pillar that slammed down next to her had her diving off the edge of the walkway, rolling at the bottom. Link was doing something with that slate of his, holding the pillar next to the blight. It's own lightning struck it, and she raced over to attack it. When it started flying again, she snapped on instinct, and lightning struck it. She grinned, Link and herself lunging in to finish it off. It's death scream had her grinning in relief, and she grinned wider at Link's relieved laughter. Now, to find a place for herself before the big battle...
Revali
He was far from startled by the shrine, walking in and studying the rito as he activated the pedestal. There was a rivalry, was it friendly? He couldn't tell. The rito slowly sat up, looking drowsy. His gaze landed on Link, and his eyes narrowed.
"What are you looking at?"
"You, idiot." The rito stood.
"Excuse me?" Link was about to retort, but he bit his tongue, taking a deep breath.
"I didn't mean to call you an idiot. Sorry." The rito's puffed up feathers settled, and he lost his threatening posture.
"It's fine, I guess. I was being rude first. ...I'm sorry as well." Link nodded, held out his hand.
"Let's start over. I'm Link." His hand was envolped in feathers a few beats later.
"Revali."
Vah Medoh
The blight's cannon was aimed at him. He darted into the updraft, let it carry him up, and fired four times in quick succession. One for the cannon, three for the eye.
"Nice shooting!"
"Thanks! See if you can keep up!" Link laughed, driving his sword into the stunned creature.
"I'm gonna be the one that kills this thing, bird boy!" It broke away from the hero, drones beginning to circle Link. And then they were all swiftly shot aside so that Link could have a clear shot on the beast.
"Only because of my help, wingless wonder!" The banter was easy, and it kept their spirits up while the thing danced away from their shots. And then a lazer, fired without an ounce of warning, slammed into his side. He hit the ground, rolled, and noticed the red dot painted on his chest. He felt a tugging urge in his gut, and trusted it. Steadied himself, spread his wings, and wind erupted beneath them, shooting him up at the last second. He whooped, firing, grounding the thing. Link finished it off, and Revali landed next to him. "You know, I do wonder when I learned to do that..."
"Make wind? I'd bet it was a long time ago." A soft slap had the hylian laughing, and Revali had to admit that it was infectious. He'd never say it out loud, but he quite liked his new beginning.
Daruk
He'd sought out the shrine as soon as he had gear to survive the volcano. He activated it, studying the goron. He felt safe, comfortable. And then the goron was up, looking around.
"Hi. I'm Link." The goron looked to him, and his extended hand. Grabbed it gently, and Link found himself very reminded of just how strong gorons could be by how careful he was to ensure he didn't break his hand.
"Daruk. And I'm definitely supposed to be doing something, though I haven't a clue what at the moment."
"Well, let's go find you something to do." The goron laughed a bit.
"Sounds good, little buddy. I like your attitude!" The two left, walking in step with each other, and it felt like they'd done it a thousand times before.
Vah Rudania
The creature began sucking in air for a fireball. Link threw in a bomb, and they both ran in to attack when it exploded in the things face. And then it was upright, a massive swing slamming into Link and bouncing off of Daruk's magical shield. It wouldn't hold under many hits like that. He swung his own massive blade, managing to dent a piece of the machinery the thing was made of. An arrow fired into its eye had it on the ground again, and Daruk continued to attack. The blight was defeated fairly quickly, Daruk thought, and he grinned at Link, who smiled tiredly back. It was a good fight. He wanted to make sure Link didn't have to fight for a long while.
Dark Beast Ganon
Link was exhausted. His horse was fleeing, he was half dead, and the thrice forsaken thing wouldn't stop. Zelda was quietly encouraging him, but he hurt, and he just wanted to be done. And then there was a loud whoop, and he saw arrows flying into the things sides.
"You have the wrong bow, bird brain!" Revali swooped down, having quickly abandoned his attempt when he saw it was doing nothing, and held his hand out.
"Then give me the right one, blue eyes." Link hesitated, and then nodded, quietly handing over the bow. He could vaguely make out other shapes coming closer, but he was on his way to unconsciousness, and everything was blurry. And then there was a hand in his back and warmth in his body and his vision cleared. He looked to Mipha, who smiled warmly. Daruk was taunting the thing, catching its hooves and throwing them back at it to make it stumble. Urbosa was rushing forward, and snapped, the lightning enraging the beast.
"Thank you, Mipha. I have to go help them."
"We, Link. We have to go help them." He grinned, and the two rushed in to join the effort of keeping the thing from paying Revali any attention while he shot arrows of light into it.
Zelda
She was back. All the champions kneeled to her, all in varying states of injury. And she smiled, tears in her eyes, overwhelmed by the fact that they'd all come for her, that they'd all survive. The first quiet sob had them all looking up, and before the next one came Urbosa was on her feet, enveloping her in a hug. The other joined, and she sobbed in relief, clinging to the gerudo. She was alive. They were alive. They were all safe. Hyrule had been shaken by the calamity, but now, now they were all together again. And watching them in the days that followed, she realized she had to get to know them again. Link spoke, now. He and Mipha were far less reserved. Daruk had lost some of his recklessness, and Revali didn't need to show off every moment. Urbosa, she thought, was the least changed. Until she caught her and Link sneaking out, wearing matching lizalfos masks. Yes, she had to get to know them all again. She didn't mind, she found.

you're literally the ONLY reacts blog i genuinely like. all others give me an odd vibe but your content is just immaculate
I don't know if what I'm about to describe is the odd vibe you're referring to, but I totally get it
One of the reasons I started doing these is because I was going through different react blogs and while a lot were really good, sometimes I would just find a post that made me go D_D
Like...some people make their reacts all about sole, especially ones where the react is a drabble and not a dialogue. I can respect the extra effort, but it's usually rather clear that the sole in those prompts is...their sole, and that they're playing barbies with themselves with audience participation. That's fine, it's just...Sole is either not the most interesting character, or is blatantly not a blank stand in where you can insert yours, so it takes me out of it a lot, because it's not very reader friendly.
Or if it's not that, the blog is just way too horny, or they have some really questionable reacts. Like...I've mentioned miscarriage and breast milk asks. I haven't gotten them myself. The only reason I know that react blogs often get requested those topics, is that THEY WRITE AND POST THOSE TOPICS. Like...they didn't have to do that! But they did! That's the only part I take a moral stance against, specifically the miscarriage thing. Once a blog writes some shit it should have kept in the inbox, I slide right off.
But the biggest thing that makes me side eye a react blog is how they write the actual reacts.
So, Deacon, Hancock, or Nick will get a masterclass essay, probably a whole fanfic, everyone else gets a basic answer, and X6-88 or Preston get either a joke or Jack shit.
Keen eyed readers will note my preferences for characters, but also that I write the same amount for everyone, with the same care and thought. I'm not snubbing Curie to write Danse. I'm not snubbing Piper to write Gage.
But SOME PEOPLE...if you don't care about the other characters, just say you write for the ones you do! Don't clog up the tags of MY favorites with mischaracterization, flanderization, and because life is pain, literal racism. I'm not going into specifics there because I don't need to, if you've read react blogs, you've seen it on at least one of them.
Sorry for the rant, its just...I've been silently judging this shit for years and whenever someone else brings it up im like YES YOU SEE IT TOO

fantastic!
Companions on social media
Cait; Posts gym thirst traps and videos of her working out or getting into fistfights. Can be found in the comments and DMs of women, gay or otherwise. Lots of activity in sobriety and self-help communities. Doesn’t have a lot of followers, but does fundraiser streams for a week every three months she's sober. The money goes to child abuse prevention foundations. Her most recent charity streams had her trying to get all achievements on Just Dance after someone donated 10k requesting it.
Codsworth; self-help videos for people struggling to take care of themselves. How to tidy up, how to take effective breaks, what needs to be cleaned in a house and what supplies you need...very useful, very popular with college students and teens. Once posted a video of him going at wasps with a chainsaw and gained a million subs overnight.
Curie; children's educational YouTube channel that's, somehow, more popular with young adults. Science experiments gone wrong. Think Jackass and Mythbusters hosted by a tiny French woman who approaches everything with the joy and whimsy of My Little Pony. Her most popular videos are her 100k subscriber specials, a series where she goes ghost and cryptid hunting to disprove them and demonstrate the fraudulence you can find behind such things.
Danse; has a Facebook for work purposes. It has a profile photo only because Haylen insisted. Fears the internet deeply, thinks its the closest humanity can get to staring into the void and seeing something blink. Unbeknownst to him, there's a viral video of him teaching a workout regimen to trainees. The comment sections are pure thirst. All of his coworkers know and made an oath to never speak of it.
Deacon; Is the one who snuck into training and got that video. Posted it to r/NextFuckingLevel with 🥵🥵🥵 for a caption. Owns several large meme accounts, all with distinct personalities and lives. Someone tried to dox him after suspicions, but found all accounts had different IPs and info. He's just that good. His Facebook changes profile photo every. Single. Day. He consumes an absurd amount of audio books. Drops CRAZY money on charity streams to make the host do weird shit, like 100% Just Dance. Probably sells feet pics.
Dogmeat; The internet's darling. Nick Valentine's dog who doesn't help with catching bad guys, but with far more important things; Dogmeat cuddles and plays with victims at the scene or in court. Also trained in search and rescue. Much of Dogmeat's page is just Nick sharing important information (hotlines, self-defense, survival tips, et cetera) while petting or playing with Dogmeat. Kind of a McGruff the Crime Dog vibe.
Gage; Facebook that he uses to cyberbully cop pages and Craigslist to offer his...unconventional services (pretending to be your boyfriend at family gatherings to cause drama). His pet lizard, an Argentine Tegu, has an Instagram with 3k followers. The Tegu often wins pet competitions and Gage posts the awards captioned with 🖕🏻💚🦎💚🖕🏻. Works at an amusement park, posts tell-all confessions on Reddit.
MacCready; Facebook with friends and family, posts a lot of Duncan. His YouTube history is videos for Duncan. Lots of Curie's videos. Mac has a Craigslist and LinkedIn, does odd jobs when he isn't working as a security guard at a shooting range. Activite in communities about comics, shows, and video games. Sometimes he'll post a theory about a show or comic and he's usually right. Really enjoys the meltdowns of fandoms when the media takes a nasty turn, even if he's also betrayed.
Nick; Ellie runs Dogmeat's page, Nick just does the talking. As for Nick himself, has some pages for his work (that Ellie also manages) and a Facebook profile to stay in touch with friends and family. Much like Danse, consumes media offline—except for poetry. Most of his screen time is spent on Poetry.com, one of those people that leave comments. He likes how the internet makes information and art accessible. Very peaceful and wholesome internet time.
Hancock; The void that Danse is scared of. Also does streams, but not only for fundraisers. Streams high. Streams himself trying to find his way back to his apartment late at night. Always end up in a fast food joint, trying to convince the workers to unionize. Twitter shitposter until a politician needs cyberbullying. Organizes protests. Extremely active in Massachusetts' political scene, his fans are a force to be reckoned with. Has fistfought his own fans before. Occasionally cancels himself to prove a point. Makes mock apology videos whenever another celeb/influencer fucks up.
Preston; Park ranger and community organizer. Uses Facebook and TikTok to appeal to all ages. Is unfairly good at TikTok dances. Posts safety tips, upcoming event information, etc. Does a lot of work with Dogmeat and Nick. Posts bodycam footage of him arresting people, like shutting down fire-themed gender reveal parties, or poachers. Not a lot of followers, but the bodycam footage goes viral on subreddits like r/Instant_Karma.
Piper; a journalist and blogger. Posts videos of her political rants and makeup/hair routine. Joins Hancock in politician cyberbullying. Makes commentary essays and videos, sometimes book reviews. Appears on podcasts. Her media presence is decently known, but mild. She tries to keep herself distant from it. Despite this, has a good-sized following who appreciate the lack of parasociality. Her most famous video is her trying to find the best coffee spots in Boston.
X6-88; security guard for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology who got stuck running the Twitter when the last guy got arrested on weed charges. Piper keeps DMing for an interview and he keeps blocking her accounts. He has LinkedIn for work. Half of it is redacted and involves NDAs. No other media presence except for one thing; he's an infamous esports cryptid. Across a few different shooter games, a high-rank player called X6-88 (its just his first initial and the numbers on his security badge) fucking curbstomps everyone in the match. He has never died or missed a shot. Never speaks in chat, never in team chat. He's a legend among gamers. For him, he's just relaxing on a Friday night, keeping his senses sharp. Doesn't realize there are compilation videos of streamers raging at him.

i write too i just got get requests lol
all these writers are awesome check them out!
Do you know any other fallout blogs that still write? P.s. I live for your writings 😭
Why yes, I absolutely do!
And omg thank youuuu 🥺
There's probably quite a few that I don't know of, so if y'all have recommendations, I'm always down for that. But some of the ones I follow and love and that helped me get into writing for fallout are listed below!
@baddieladdie writes here and on A03 and is awesome (and writes for other fandoms if you want to explore some)
@some27-url writes on A03 but posts here on Tumblr and writes amazing long-form stuff, and some shorter works that are also so gripping, once I start reading, I can't stop!
@nuka-after-dark was one of the first blogs I followed, and I still go through their masterlist damn near daily cuz their works are bite-sized and very re-readable.
@zirawrites has a bunch of bite-sized stuff and character reacts that are great for scrolling through!
@radreactions is also awesome, I've probably read everything on their masterlist at least twice lol.
@fallout-drabbles-n-stuff posts a lot and has an awesome masterlist as well, and I just love all of their headcannons!
@fallout4reactsblog also writes some awesome stuff and has some great thoughts and headcannons on the characters and AUs that are really interesting.
@libertybri is also incredible and have a big masterlist of works that I regularly go back to and re-read!
And lastly I have to recommend Tea_Petty on A03. They're not active anymore, but they were the blog that inspired me to start mine, and I love their works so much that I simply must recommend them.
Some of these blogs are more active than others, but even if they're not as active, I tried to include ones with good masterlists that you can go through and binge 😁
(Also, authors, if for whatever reason you're on here and don't want to be, please let me know and I can absolutely take you off!)
Thanks for the ask, and I hope this helped! And again, if y'all have recommendations, please send them my way, I'm always down to find new reading material!
