Rewatching the classic Holby on Sky and I am still furious at Holby writers ripping apart Lofty's character. They had potential and I adored Lofty's character, he was a good match for Dom. I loved the light heartedness in this episodes. Essie, Dom, Lofty and Sacha where a great group.

Happy Pride Month - I may not have liked the ending or the characters together at the end of their time, but the beginning and development was beautiful to witness.

BLUE BLOODS JAMKO FANFICTION

Do people still read Blue Blood fanfiction? New to the show, have some ideas and I'd love to write, but I don't know if anyone would read.

I'll give you an outline of 3 of them

One is a based after the following episodes

Justice Served - Evaluation of the about what happened at the end of the episode.

Power Players - A story based upon what I thought was going through their heads at the end.

The third is one where Eddie goes undercover against Jamie's genuine concerns about whose running the operation. Eddie sustains a life altering injury. Jamie and Eddie deal with the fallout and the change in their lives.

A fourth one I'm playing with is that after 8.18 Eddie and Barrie move on with their lives together. They want to get married. Eddie's aks her best friend to be a witness. Shortly after that Jamie is promoted and leaves Eddie. Wil Eddie make it down the aisle? The other part with have Kara joining Jamie at the 29th and a relationship developing between the too of them.

So those are my ideas. Any takers? Anyone want to read any of thsie stories?

I am reading about good episodes to watch about Jamie and Eddie and their developing relationship. A lot of them are similar choices I will check out, but two key episodes are missing which I think are important in their relationship early on.

Justice Served - Season 4 Episode 8

Eddie is sexually assaulted on her date, and is worried about being seen as the victim. Rather than molly cuddle her, Jamie finds out the information Eddie is unwilling to give and gives Eddie back control with the arrest. I thought this was a very important episode of their relationship. We see Eddie vulnerable, and while she's angry at Jamie for going behind her back, he is the one who ultimately gives her the control she lost after the date and Jamie encourages her and supports her.

Season 5 Episods 15 - Power Players

Eddie protects herself, partner and volunteer cop by killing the shooter. I felt this episode was huge for Eddie and Jamie. Jamie found her at the end, and we saw Eddie Let her guard down and show him vulnerability. I loved this moment, there was nothing romantic but you could see the trust between them.

Can you think of any other episode often not talked about that are key in the development of their characters I can watch?

Help Blue Blood fans. Looking for a episode that has a scene where Jamie and Eddie demonstrate how well they know each other when they take down a criminal. One of them uses the baton while the other distracts. I think it was set near a car park. Someone may have been riding along with them. Can anyone tell me which episode this is from or did I just imagine it?

Friendship

It's intersting how in one episode Robyn and Max provide such wonderful support for Lofty. To me it really emphasises how valued that friendship is and lacked in Holby. It does also make me wonder if Lofty would have spiraled the way he did, if he had, had those friends. I think Holby underestimated the importance of friendship for some characters. Max and Robyn were unstoppable. Would have been lovely to see a scene with all 3 at once, but maybe a backstage photo will appear. We see how important friendship is for Dom and how it helped him grow as a character with Zosia, Arthur, Essie, Donna, Sacha, Hansen and Lofty never really built those sort of relationships. I thought there was potential for Lofty and Leah which was an unpopular opinion but she left shortly after. Donna was the closest I think, and even she seemed closer to Dom than Lofty. Keep those friends Lofty 'always'. Robyn gave him a chance and a home, friendship and unconditional live I remember after that nurse died, Lofty broke down and Max just held him, let him cry his heart out. I will never get that image out of my head, Lofty clingy to Max's shirt. On a lighter note, those reindeer costumes at Christmas.

Watching @greys-abc and they just had the episode with the enraged, grieving widower who shot people in the hospital. The character development. The confusions. The relationship changes and developments. There were scenes that gave me big #holbyCity vibes especially Dofty vibes among other characters injuries when Fredrick raged through the hospital, though for different reasons. The confusion. Trauma. Drama. Death.

In a side note I'd like to add that I am still gutted how Holby destroyed the relationship, and Lofty character. Once again making Dom a victim, which is old. Dom is a kick ass surgeon but deserves someone to go home to, that someone should have been Lofty. Dofty was a great match, and that scene where they are together, with Fredrick was so emotive.

I am interested in this theory. Plus Dylan's dislike of affection could have also been seen as him not liking men. Like Lofty, Dylan strikes me as someone who would love a person rather than a gender, and they'd have to 'get him'. Lofty is still alive in Holby land, I would love to see him return. I was disappointed how Holby assainated his character in the end. I'm glad his found happiness with someone else though. I'm having nostalgic feels tonight, so heading through old 'ships'.

I just did some insane mental acrobatics. I’m talking stupid leaps. Bear with me here, I have gone from:

Lev being queer (possibly bisexual) to

Lev cheating with another man to

Lofty being bisexual and Lofty cheating after forming a relationship with Dom to

Lofty being ruined as a character in Holby in comparison to his thoughtful and careful development on Casualty to

Lofty having presumably been queer this whole time, including his time on Casualty even if this was not the writers’ intentions given that Casualty and Holby don’t have the same writing team to

Lofty being bisexual this entire time including his time on the Emergency Department would have strengthened the fan theories of Lofty and Dylan having a potential or implied homoromantic/sexual relationship” to

“Wait, is Dylan even attracted to men? Personal theories aside, has Dylan ever displayed any potential attraction to men onscreen or implied onscreen?” to

Dylan was freaked out when Seb (junior doctor in 2016) made a move on him and tried to kiss him. This could imply that Dylan is not attracted to men, and that he finds the idea of kissing or being with another man repulsive to

“Wait, Dylan wasn’t freaked out because Seb was a man who tried to kiss him. Dylan was freaked out because Seb was Seb who tried to kiss him, a junior doctor, his protégé if you will, who he had a duty of care to and that it would have been misconduct on his behalf to pursue a sexual relationship with him” to

“That’s why Seb’s false complaint (that Dylan was the one who attempted to kiss Seb) weighed so heavy in terms of consequence, him being removed from clinical duties. Because it was ethically and professionally wrong for him to have done that” to my eventual conclusion of:

Dylan is possibly same sex attracted! It took ten whole leaps but there is arguably no evidence that he is not. Sure, he has been involved exclusively with women, romantically and sexually, however you can be bi/pan/queer/anything that would indicate attraction to the same sex without ever having been with the same sex. So yeah, I’m running with this theory. I’ve made so many leaps I will agree this is a reach, but one that I will put my back out for. All that to say, “Dylan is bisexual okay bye”

Re-Reading old Dofty fics this morning. It's heartbreaking so many people wrote beautiful stories about them, then that crash and burn at the end (To be honest it began to crash and burn for me when Dom told Lofty to America without him. Never a great idea to separate a couple so early in marriage in my opinion. Don't they say the first year of marriage is the hardest?). There were better ways to explain Lee's absence.

Anyway little off topic, but some people myself included wrote some lovely pieces of fiction because we loved these characters. I feel like at the end, the Holby writers ruined Lofty's character and their relationship. I read someone's comment they can't even look at him anymore because they are reminded of all the horrible things he did. That makes me sad to read. Lofty's character hated fighting, and pretty much came to blows with a paramedic because he refused to wear a red poppy. Complete 180.

They didn't give Lofty any Holby friends like he had in Casualty, in one episode of being with Max and Robyn, Lofty knew what he wanted, knew how he should feel and made the bold yet badly timed descision to end it. I know Max was in the states, but they could have built Lofty a support network within Holby. I often wondered if he had more support, Lofty wouldn't have spiraled like he did.

The loss of baby William with Helen and Lofty, could have been covered if Helen was a surrogate for Dom and Lofty. They could have grieved together.

There are so many ways they could have ended Lee's stint on Holby, he could have moved Hospitals so he and Dom could have remained married or tried to make it work.

I feel like they didn't need to destroy Lofty's character to give him an exit story, ruining Lofty's character for people. Even those episodes with Isaac were awful and I couldn't watch them, they destroyed Lofty's character.

I still love Lee and Lofty's character choosing to gloss over how Holby writers made a such a mess if he returns, I will welcome him with open arms.

Every time I read something about Avengers and things that happen, I think "Hey Natasha is still alive" then the logic sets in and I re-think everything and work out that it's not possible. I had hope in a multi verse after reading about Loki, but I don't know about that. I am cursing the Hulk for saying that it was not possible to get Natasha back when he returned the stone. Is there any hope for Natasha to still be alive? Any ideas? Any hope?

Positive thoughts required please.

Unpopular opinion : Everyone is going on about how great the episode will be when Elliot returns. I honestly am not at all excited. I am glad he is not retuning to SVU permantly, but has his own show instead. Mariska's character has thrived without him. I think Christopher was the wake up call the writers needed to give better story lines to the remaining characters. Even the title of the episode is 'Return of the Prodical son' just rubs me up the wrong way and Fin (I get why his doing it, but if I was Liv I would be annoyed. I don't like people meddling in my life) Plus the way Elliot left Liv.... If she let's him off lightly, quite frankly I will be further disapointed by the writers.

Now if they brought Nick back, and Rafael back (for more than the odd episode) and another visit from Munch and Cragan I'd definitely tune in.

I'm done. Rant over. I feel so much better now. You may not agree but that's the beauty of free speech.
