Merlin has Gold Eyes: Prompt/Idea

Magic turns eyes gold. Merlin is magic. Therefore his should be gold.

They start off blue, but the longer he’s in Camelot, the more his magic grows, the more in tune with the magic inside him he is, they slowly start to turn gold even when not casting spells.

It starts slowly, almost unnoticeable at first. Just little flecks of gold in his irises that could just be a trick of the light. But then there’s more and more. The blue is turning to gold and staying that way. There’s nothing he can do to stop it.

An AU where Merlin is literally a God in Mordred’s eyes. Like, a genuine God.

In this AU Mordred and Merlin’s relationship is not fucked up by prophecy. So, everytime, kindhearted Merlin saved Mordred without hesitation. And Mordred grew up in a Druid camp that reinforced the idea that Emrys was a literal god. So naturally, HE WORSHIPPED MERLIN.

Once Arthur became king and magic was legalised, Mordred came to Camelot to become a knight because that was the best way to serve Emrys.

But when he arrived at Camelot, he struggled to comprehend the fact that Merlin was… human???? A very clumsy one, in fact. The rest of Camelot, though might know about Merlin magic, did not know how great ‘Emrys’ actually was so they were just confused, concerned, and/or entertained by Mordred’s ‘crush’ on Merlin.

He would stare at Merlin the entire first meal they had together, and people would be like: awww, Sir Mordred is crushing on Merlin so hard!!

Mordred: Emrys??eats??food?Food??Is ?eaten?by? Emrys?emrys?consumes?meal????

Or when he saw Merlin tripped on the training field

Mordred: i think the area is cursed. Strongly cursed.

Leon: what—

Mordred: THEN WHY ELSE WOULD EMRYS TRIPPED?????

Arthur: So, how have you adjusted to life in Camelot so far? Is there anything that is bothering yo—

Mordred: Merlin

Arthur: what did my stupid manserva- I mean Court Sorcerer do-

I was watching the episode where Merlin disguised himself as the “dolma” and I was feeling frustrated at Arthur’s lack of concern to Merlin’s whereabouts. It goes against everything we’ve ever seen of him. He never forgets Merlin and he’s never calm when Merlin is in potential danger.

So I was thinking to myself, why? Why would Arthur forget Merlin? And I remembered that, despite being an old woman sorceress, he immediately felt like he knew her somehow. She is everything that Merlin is not (to his knowledge), and yet he somehow knows her. Just like he did with “Dragoon”.

“You seem familiar, sorceress” - Arthur

And as the “dolma” points out he’s forgetting something, he jokes with her the exact way he does with Merlin. “Ah, I thought things had gone unusually smoothly” + other lines. Why would he do that?

Because a part of Arthur knows Merlin is standing right in front of him. He’s unable to recognize that he’s forgetting Merlin, because he can feel that he’s standing right there. He bickers with her because that’s Merlin. She has to explicitly point out that it’s Merlin he’s forgetting, in order for his brain to override his feelings.

Arthur always knew the true Merlin. Even if neither of them knew it.

A STEREK STORY (and delirium)

Do you remember when Scott thought that Derek died (s03e05) and he wasn’t able to heal because he felt guilty for his death?

Well, after Allison helps him to heal, one of the first things he says is: “Stiles, where’s Stiles?” even if there is no reason to believe he is in danger. It’s like Scott’s last promise to Derek was to keep Stiles safe.

I’ve always believed that (until season 4) it was Derek who acknowledged and understood his feelings for Stiles (Stiles was just…well…Stiles. Kinda lost in his Lydia world, wondering about his sexuality). Scott knew it though, like every body else in the pack, simply because Derek made it very clear to them: 

But he tried so hard to keep him away. For so many reasons:

1) Stiles is a “child”

2) “I killed my first love”

3) “people I love die”

4) Trust issues

5) He knows and respects the feelings Stiles has for Lydia

“Sometimes the shape you take reflects the person that you are. Even Stiles calls her cold-blooded.”

6) He loves Stiles’ smile. And he knows how dangerous and painful a relationship with a werewolf can be.

But nobody can deny that Derek is totally in love with Stiles, because:

2) And makes him act like a baby (because he had to grow up so fast that he’s still a child in so many ways, SO BASICALLY WHAT STILES GIVES HIM IS WHAT HE NEVER HAD THE CHANCE TO HAVE):

3) This little, defenceless human is a hero, a BAMF and he’s not afraid of him

4) this BAMF is kind and funny and brave and full of love

5) He dreams of him

And then, finally, it looks like Stiles understands something (and, yes, it looks like our ship is going to become canon)

Can we just talk about why Merlin didn't check on Aithusa. He's a dragon lord, and hatched her. Why on earth didn't he make sure she was fed and taken care of. Why didn't he teach her to talk. Why Why Why. Why don't we see more of her. Why did merlin neglect her. She turned to Morgana. It's so sad it breaks me. Please give me thoughts. Or fic on him raising aithusa with arthur.
