im sorry but literally nothing is more ridiculous than thrawn. and like his entire fucking life. his sister is a space wizard at age 5 (he never sees her again ✌️). he meets anakin fucking skywalker pre-emo era (????) and instantly is like “ok so u&padme right?”. yeah. he is EXILED. from his ENTIRE GALAXY. and the exile is NOT ACTUALLY EXILE. (???????). he meets a space cowboy and is like “you must be a spy. also youre mine now” and said cowboy just has to fucking take it because for some reason thrawn usurps the entire chain of command and meets the literal EMPEROR ~5 days after being FOUND randomly this galaxy. then he’s a superest senior to ever exist oh and also he’s just like the Only One Of His Species. That Anyone In This Entire Fucking Galaxy Has Ever Met. Okay. then he climbs up the chain of command until he’s literally a FLEET ADMIRAL and he has even more space wizards around him (vader, morgan elsbeth, kanan, ezra, ahsoka). he also fucking hates the most iconic part of the entire empire (the death star) and downvotes it every chance he gets. OH AND, THIS ENTIRE TIME HE HAS NO IDEA HOW POLITICS WORK. HE GETS BESTED BY A 17YO W A SHAVED HEAD (#basictraining #thumbera #headstubble) AND IS SENT THROUGH SPACE AT LIGHTSPEED VIA SPACE WHALE. AND FINDS MORE SPACE WIZARDS.

I want a star wars time travel fic but not like. A fix it ‘kill Palpatine and stop the fall of the Order’ fic. I want a time travel fic where Din Djarin, due to Force shenanigans caused by his gremlin son, keeps getting thrown into various points in time and no matter where he ends up or what time he’s in or how hard he tries to avoid it he ALWAYS ends up getting the Darksaber and subsequently has to try (and fail) to talk his way out of being Mand’alor

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been talking about a Bad Batch project I’ve been working on, that grew out to be something much bigger. After a lot of convincing and fighting with my teachers…

…Surprise surprise, I’m making a game for my small thesis project (yes, we have this thing called small thesis at year 3, the real thesis project begins at year 5) at uni, called Republic Troops. Well sort of, cuz sadly, it’s not gonna be a real playable game. Reason is, that this whole project has to be finished by November, and I’m working on this all by myself, and I have classes with multiple projects I haven’t even started working on, so you can imagine how much time I have lmfao.

This “game” will get multiple character posters of all the playable characters, meaning The Bad Batch, Coruscant Guard, the 501st, the 212th, the Wolfpack, and if @highgroundanimations gives me permission, I’m gonna include his 241st characters as well.

I will also make a short trailer/promo animation of all the characters in action with some sick ass music. The whole thing will also get a game menu as well, where you can select the characters and take a closer look at them (sort of like in battlefront 2)with some basic idle animations and with some talking.

This is the first poster out of the 6. I wouldn’t call it finished yet, cuz I’m still waiting for approval from my teacher lol. I’m gonna keep posting all of the posters once all of them are approved, but if you’re interested in the technical side of this whole project as well, give me a follow on instagram @nagy_bogix, cuz that’s where I’m gonna post a lot of technical stuff and most of the animations.

it's almost one am so this might not be very coherent and someone else has probably said it better but--

i know we like to talk about anakin giving his lightsaber to padmé in that one clone wars episode making an unintended parallel to cody always seeming to end up with obi-wan's, but actually i think it's an accidentally genius foil.

anakin giving padmé his lightsaber in that context i think was far more representative of his willingness to forsake his duties for her than it was his trust in her. think about it. anakin was supposed to have been on a meditative retreat--given the fact that he is a prominent front-line general, one can only assume that if they felt it was worth it to pull him out of the field for that, that it was probably the jedi’s way of saying hey, man, you need to get your fucking head back on straight. it wasn't just a fun little spa trip. and instead he tried to get padmé to abandon her own responsibilities to go on a super romantic secret vacation with him. and like. a fair amount of bad shit happened as a direct result of him not having his lightsaber following that conversion.

cody, in almost direct opposition to that, to my knowledge is only ever seen giving obi-wan's 'saber back to him. he is supporting obi-wan in his duties, and in fact, directly facilitating his ability to carry them out.

idk. just something to think about.
