KazuTogi - First Date

“This is beautiful.” Togi calmly said as he looked up at the stars. Kazuki and Togi had been dating for a few weeks now, and Togi had suggested they go on their first date. He didn’t want to do something cliché, like dinner, so Kazuki suggested going stargazing. It was unique and an adorable idea, so Togi was immediately in. The two decided to wear something casual, which surprisingly was Togi’s idea. Togi wore a regular purple t-shirt and dark blue shorts, while Kazuki wore a black cardigan and jeans. Togi was lying in Kazuki’s lap, looking up at the stars. “I wonder if any planets are visible.” Kazuki softly said. “That’s possible??” Togi asked, sitting up. Kazuki hummed in response. “A lot of planets can be seen with your eyes, but because of all of the light, it’s more difficult to see. But here, it might be possible.” The two were at a park a little bit away from their town, almost in a weird, abandoned like spot, on top of a hill. Kazuki scanned the sky, trying to find something. “There.” He said, pointing. Togi followed his finger to the bright spot. “Damn, that’s a bright star.” Togi chuckled. “That’s not a star. It’s Saturn.” Togi’s eyes widened. “Really?! How do you know??” “The location. The moon is over there, so Mars and Jupiter should be somewhere near it, and Saturn’s to the far right. Venus should be a little left of the moon. Guess the others aren’t visible right now.” Kazuki said, lowering his arm. Togi stared up at the planet, his eyes practically sparkling. “Wow… this is amazing…” Togi whispered. Kazuki turned his head to look at Togi, and felt his heart skip a beat. The way he was looking up at the stars made his face heat up, and a warm smile slowly formed. Rei, Kazuki’s dad, is an astronomer and helps write articles and books about the universe, and he studies stars and planets, and he would take Kazuki stargazing all the time, one of the main reasons why he could tell that it was Saturn they were seeing. But, because of Togi’s father and how he grew up, it was clear that Togi had never seen the stars on such a clear night. There was something so flustering about the way Togi stared up at the sky, completely calm. It was so contrast to the way he acted around his friends and at work, and the fact that he was really only like this around him made Kazuki’s heart flutter. Togi glanced to the side, catching Kazuki staring at him. “What?” He chuckled. “You.” Togi’s faced turned red as he laughed. “What about me~?” He teased. “Your face. You’re so amazed by the stars. It’s cute.” Kazuki was being so blunt with his words, it was making Togi blush even more. Togi giggled, and gently grabbed Kazuki’s face and kissed him. “This is nice. Thank you. Seriously.” Togi smiled. Kazuki smiled back at him. “I’m glad we were finally able to do this. You don’t know how long I’ve wanted to go out on a date with you.” Togi laughed. “Actually, babe, I do. Since high school.” Togi kissed Kazuki on the cheek, and then laid back in his lap. Togi closed his eyes and began talking about whatever he could think of, but Kazuki didn’t pay much attention, as he was staring back down at Togi, admiring him. ——————————————————————
