rant!!
tldr: tired of terms like "non-men" and "men dni" and the discrimination that comes from that behavior and the issues (queer) men (trans, cis, het ,cishet, everyone) & transmascs face because of it as someone who has no gender (agender) but still is transmasc & has ties to trans guys
really fucking tired of anyone that uses "non-men" (could end the sentence here tbf) to group us with women. even then, what the fuck is with the man hatred in this community? you cant be bigender (when you also id as a man), you cant be transmasculine, you cant be a cis guy, het guy or a cishet apsec guy (referencing the infamous are cishet aromantic men queer poll and the results.). i am agender. but sometimes i feel connected to guys. and even if i didn't, i am still not a woman or woman lite or associated with them. the transandrophobia & man hatred that results from things like this has gotten so bad even my binary transmasc/ trans men friends feel unwelcome and icky in the community. even the "men dni" shit has gotten unbearable. people group us automatically with women because men and anything "too masculine" are still seen as inherently dirty, negative and dangerous. see how terfs HATE butches or even trans men butches - and mulitgender people and masculine enbys & amab enbys . i have never seen a woman dni, or antyhing like that and its so fucking gross how normal the other one is. hating on someone purely because of their gender and you think they're inherently dangerous or predatory or dirty or anything like that- that is gender based discrimination, yes "even if" its men. some of it goes so fucking far i even use the VERY VERY controversial term "misandry". (mfw when gender-based discrimination have their own terms and it doesn't just apply to women.) esp trans misandry and transandrophobia is also, EVEN IN TRANS SPACES,controversial because we're obviously suffering under misogyny and not suffering under the fact were trans men & transmasc ppl and the UNIQUE issues & discrimination that comes with it. words are words and they serve a purpose. anyone can be discriminated against if people treat them like shit enough. in these terms i am ""lucky"" to be very fem and not wanting to pass, ""looking like a girl"" since i am not masculine enough for these people to even consider me a) a guy b) non-men at all. i am girl 2.0 to these idiots. i am beginning to hate it here.
(Deleting in a few minutes this is just for the anon)

The Iranian Regime is going to execute rapper Toomaj Salehi for supporting protests of Jina Amini’s murder by the regime in his songs.
Iranian activist Elica Le Bon says, “Iranians in the diaspora picked up on the fact that the regime tends not to execute people who become known to the international community. We have seen many examples of prisoners that were either released on bail or had their sentences commuted through our “say their names to save their lives” campaign on social media, using hashtags to garner attention for their causes, and even before social media existed, through getting the stories of political prisoners to international media outlets. Once reported on, and once the eyes shift to the regime and the reality of its pending brutality, realizing that the action is not worth the repercussions, we have seen them back down and not execute. For that reason, this is part of an urgent campaign for readers to talk about Toomaj as much as you can, using the hashtag #FreeToomaj or #ToomajSalehi. Every comment makes a difference, and if we were wrong, what did we lose by trying?”

wistfully remembering how people (pretended they) cared about antisemitism when it was primarily coming from the right. like there are pre-2023 posts with tens of thousands of notes about antisemitism. now any mention of the existence of antisemitism (when its worse than it ever was) doesn’t breach containment outside of jewish circles. its almost funny how quickly people stopped caring when it was inconvenient.

Hello, everyone. I arrive with the unfortunate news that I’m going to be deleting Tumblr and staying off the platform for the foreseeable future.
The degree to which antisemitism festers on the internet has finally cracked me. I went to synagogue tonight and could not speak even a single word. I cannot do this anymore.
So, I wish you all well, and may there be blessings for each of you. Do not forget to hold love in your hearts and in your heads. Fight for peace and health for all.
And for what may be the last time from this blog:
Shabbat Shalom.

note from OP: I'm a trans man who feels "trapped in the wrong body" but I see a lot of people saying that that's not how they feel about it, or even that it's not a real experience, just made up by cis doctors. Made me curious

Every day I think I’ve reached my limit, only to be forced to suffer more and more. Every day I hear of a new hate crime against a Jew that will never be reported on. Every day I see the Jew haters getting more open, more ecstatic, more violent. Every day non Jews demonstrate that they won’t be happy until we’re completely gone. Every day things get a little bit worse.
Every day I become more and more numb to the horror

Given how unsafe queer spaces have become for Jews, I’d really love to hear how queer goyim plan to make these spaces welcome for us again.
Because you are the reason they’ve become hostile and unsafe. You haven’t stood up for us or said, “hey, this is wrong, we shouldn’t be pushing our own people out!”
What do you plan to do to make your spaces inclusive? Do you care that the queer Jews who have also been a huge part of the movement have fled your spaces?

Anyone else (who doesn’t have chest/heart problems) start getting like, almost light heart palpitations when seeing Jew hatred on tumblr? Like I’m scrolling through Jewish blogs’ archives right now and every other post is just Jew hatred and my heart is doing something. Not sure what it is but it’s something

the "queer is a slur" is so dumb yall. I had to see a post on my dash in twenty twenty four where someone said "I've never heard it used as a slur before!" well bully for you. "but we've reclaimed it!" that's not how slur reclamation works. anyway it doesn't matter because if someone asks you not to call them something you don't fucking call them that thing !! it's not that hard you guys

This year’s Seder is going to well so far! Last year I didn’t even participate because I had a breakdown and had to go home from our friends’s house, now I feel like I can actually enjoy my favourite festival. Sometimes it’s hard to see how far you’ve come, but when you do it’s amazing. Mental disorders are a bitch because you’ll never permanently recover and things absolutely will get rough again, but the point of recovery isn’t to never struggle with your illness again— the point is to build up coping strategies, it’s to get the help you need, it’s to figure out how to live with something that you’re going to have with the rest of your life. And it’s about things getting better, it’s about things getting so much better

I know Ashkenormativity is a thing but lately it feels like that is reversing because I’m seeing Ashkenazi Jews constantly demonized and their histories erased and especially the fact that being Ashkenazi is NOT code for “white European and oppressor.” like the hatred towards Ashkenazi Jews veiled as antiracism is actually still really vile antisemitism. people need to understand that those lenses can’t be applied to Jews in the American/Eurocentric way people are trying to define us. a Jew is a Jew and Jewish identity isn’t dictated by skin color or where we fled in the diaspora, and hating any group of us affects all of us for the worse.

a lot of the lgbtq+ spaces I used to frequent and orgs I used to support have been posting antisemitic content and hamas apologia. it’s starting to hit me that I’m queer and I’m not going to have a community for pride because I’m not a good enough Jew. I don’t know how to mourn that.
