a story idea I had of a old god visiting a young woman

woman: great protector of the gates answer my call <3

blue flames erupt from the ground and a tall figure covered by blue flame from his left arm to his head appears his face is hidden in flames but one can make out a pair of eyes and a mustache?

god *looking at the sky*: I, the keeper of the realms, bearer of ashen flames, heard your calls, what do you wish to know

woman *a bit shaken*:I have journeyed far across the land, sailed the seas and visited the clouds spoken to the other gods, to know about the land beyond the gates, where the gods came from, from where all life came from. I want to know about the original realm, the land of beauty.

god: The original realm you talk about is the one beyond this gate, all who wished to lead a peaceful life fled to this realm.

woman *shocked and uneasy* : Fled to this realm?, but it is supposed to be a world stranger than ours, a landscape incomprehensibly vast and beautiful.

god: Stranger than ours? yes, vast and beautiful? maybe,*looking directly at her*

but it belongs to the beasts and devils, haunted by creatures that can only be described as nightmares disguised in the shadows,

all anyone can do in that world is to fight for their lives, since the time gods were mortals and I was still a traveler trying to go home.

woman *shaken, but more*: so let me understand, the gods were mortals? the realm beyond is hell and you are somehow different from the other gods?

god: yes, all current gods know of that place.

woman: then why did they sent me to you instead of answering themselves.

god: some have forgotten that place and others are too afraid to remember.

enjoy your time in this world as much as you can, crossing hell is not a price you want to pay.

god: *turns to ash surrounded by blue flames* keep smiling, it looks good on you, o adventurer.

I had a scary thought about what the actual origins of zombie hordes could have been,

a community completely infected by a disease that gave them real bad skin rash, effected their eyes, weakened them severely and caused them to become incoherent and afraid due to high fever, this would explain the slow movement, and why they are perceived as brainless

the survivors who had very little medical knowledge now frustrated and afraid of the situation, calling the infected 'monsters', 'undead' and describing them as 'horde', 'will eat your brains', etc.

as for zombies chanting 'brains' it could have been them calling the town doctor Brian

this thought scares me
