have you considered any sort of anonymous in-server form for feedback and suggestions?

At this time that’s not something we plan to implement. We prefer being able to address feedback more personally, and so far players have been really great about providing feedback and suggestions!

Some of the mods have been in servers where anonymous feedback forms didn’t turn out well (on both the sides of player and staff behavior), so that’s just a potential can of worms we aren’t willing to open as of now.

If you’re a player with a concern, suggestion, idea, or any sort of feedback, we really encourage you to reach out by DMing a mod or asking for a staff chat if you want to speak to all of us! If you have a plot-related suggestion, you could enter your name as anonymous on the plot suggestion form, though we prefer to be able to talk about your idea with you in case extra scheming or brainstorming is needed!

i just came across this roleplay and was wondering when the next member application tryout would be? i love everything about this and wouldn't want to miss it next time!

We're glad to hear you're interested!!

We're still settling from our grand opening and all it entails, so I'm afraid we haven't even begun to think about when the next opening will be. Right now we're focused on getting the plot moving and making sure it's a fun place for our current players before we think about adding any more. (And honestly, the mods would like a long break before reading more member applications - the volume we got for the first opening was a lot to go through!)

For now, my best estimate is that we probably won't be considering another opening until late summer or fall at the very earliest - and even then it will depend on how the plot is moving, since I think we'd like to integrate future openings into plot events rather than retconning in new characters.

Character Spotlight: Twisting Tangle

Twisting Tangle, Physician of the Flickering Flame

Exiled (former Physician) | 128 moons if alive | he/him

A rugged dark tabby tom with gleaming golden eyes.

Twisting Tangle was brought to the Kith as a kit, not even a moon old. Gnawing Bone and Bittersweet Cherry, while on a patrol, had found Tangle’s mother, a loner passing through Kith territory, being attacked by a fox. Though they could not save the molly, they were able to snatch her single kit and escape. Bittersweet Cherry would raise Tangle as his own, only telling him the story of his origin once he had reached Sapling age. Eventually, Bittersweet Cherry would fall ill. Twisting Tangle spent hour after hour by his father’s side every day and night, fully dedicated to his treatment. Unfortunately though, even the most tireless of care could not save him as his condition worsened. One morning, Tangle would emerge from the Physicians’ Ward, mournfully announcing to the Kith that Cherry had passed during the night.  After his father’s death, Twisting Tangle’s demeanor shifted somewhat. He moved to the shadows, spending less and less time with the patients in the Physicians’ Ward. Later, it would be revealed that this was because Tangle was plotting a coup against Gnawing Bone, whose deceitful dealings were beginning to come to light, and had been devoting his time to gathering supporters… and researching poisons.  After moons of plotting, Tangle found his opportunity. But just as he was about to feed Gnawing Bone poison, disguised in a sweet herbal treatment, his plans were revealed, discovered by one of Gnawing Bone’s allies who had infiltrated his group of supporters. After this failed assassination attempt, Twisting Tangle and his followers were exiled from the Kith. His current whereabouts, if he still lives, are unknown.

Character Spotlight: Gnawing Bone

Gnawing Bone, Trickster of the Kith

Elder at death, former Voice & Merchant | 134 moons at death | he/him

A pale cream, bobtailed tom, with golden eyes and orange spots on each ear.

Gnawing Bone was known to be quite sly, and fit in well as a Merchant, always haggling to get his way. His wily ways led to many misunderstandings and harmful pranks in his youth. As he aged and gained a sharper business sense, he quickly swept this image under the rug, aiming to paint himself in a new and more benevolent light to gain support. This apparently worked, as over time the tom was named Head Ambassador and - while it’s noted that he excelled in trade - many of his dealings of note were much later revealed to be rather shady in nature. He is said to have been the proudest to receive the name of Trickster as The Voice. Though he ruled for several seasons without major issue, eventually Gnawing Bone’s misdeeds began to come to light. When the coup began, he used his talent in trickery to eventually oust Twisting Tangle and foil their attempts, only narrowly avoiding catastrophic consequences. There were many setbacks as a result of this uprising, however, which opened up an investigation from the Council, bringing several of his past doings out of the shadows. Although this weakened his influence through the rest of his rule, he narrowly escaped being ousted or exiled. He named Scorching Rays as his Successor shortly before retiring, hoping that a new, bold leader would squash any further instability.  Mere weeks after his retirement began, Gnawing Bone experienced a rapid decline in health and passed away suddenly. Many believed that the guilt over his trickery and the stress of the coup had finally caught up with him, an ailment which Physicians could do nothing to treat.

how’s it going with the first batch of applicants? can’t wait to see character spotlights and hear about it all!!

Everything is going great, we’re really pleased!!

We’ve had a lot of players forming connections for their characters and already getting up to some fun interactions, and we’re really excited to start unleashing horrors having really fun and normal events. :)
