Let us suppose that the "average" horse would have equal proportions of all these parts. The degree to which each part in this poll deviates from the "average" size (20% of total) will determine how large or small that part of our horse will be (i.e a horse with only 10% in Legs will have legs half the size of the average horse).
I will draw a picture of the horse we make!

I think that’s so weird. She’s like, “I cannot only excuse but actively write a vaguely incestuous ship (let’s make his love interest a reflection of his mother!), but I draw the line at Drarry.”
I feel like JK Rowling completely ignores chemistry between her characters. I’m thinking of the fact that the director of the Prisoner of Azkaban literally told David Thewlis that Remus was gay, so Thewlis and Gary Oldman played Remus and Sirius like star-crossed lovers only to walk on set for The Order of the Phoenix and be smacked in the face with a female love interest for Remus who popped out of nowhere. No hate to Tonks — I adore her. I just thought the ship was a little impromptu. Like most of the ships! I mean, we see them coming through the forced and blatant exposition, but the subtext is telling a completely different story.
- Harry is constantly thinking about Draco to the point of obsession and blaming other people for Draco’s wrongdoings throughout the entire series. He shows zero interest in Ginny until JK Rowling seems to suddenly remember that she wanted them together. And even then, he’s far more interested in Draco. All canon.
- Remus adores Sirius. There’s (I believe) almost no hinting, if any at all, of Remus having any past relationships with girls, and the same with Sirius, who all the girls wanted but who never gave them the time of day, in favor of staring at James with puppy eyes. All canon.
- And then there’s Jilly. (Disclaimer: I’m going into opinion territory here, but I still think most of this is fair and canon.) James: harasses Lily about dating him, bullies Lily’s best friend. Lily: doesn’t want to date James, because 1.) she Doesn’t Want To; 2.) he’s a bully; 3.) he can’t take no for an answer and consistently harasses her. But then one day, he’s bullying her friend and her friend says something terrible and all of a sudden, Lily falls head over heels for James? What? Where did that come from??? And then they get married and have a kid within five years.
This is only the tip of the iceberg. There’s a lot to unpack within each of these, but basically, make it make sense.
JK Rowling: I hate drarry shippers
JK Rowling: I wanted Harry to end up in a relationship that paralleled jily
JK Rowling: anyway here’s the scene I wrote of lily meeting james for the first time which parallels harry meeting draco for the first time and during which James repeats some of draco's dialogue nearly verbatim in a presumably intentional callback

I had absolutely no recollection of having made this jeverus art piece in January of 2023 until I scrolled through my procreate gallery yesterday and saw it. Funny thing; I wasn’t even into Harry Potter at the time—my little brother was—so this is based off of my memory from having read the series years before and marauders edits and lore popping up on my TikTok for you page. Anyway, now that I’ve found this, I’m going to finish it. My brother told me to add a background, so I’ll be attempting that. Enjoy!
P.S. Any suggestions, tips? E.g. proportions are off, the wand is wrong, something just looks off, et cetera.

Was the girl pretty? Who knows? Not Harry. And certainly not Sirius. But Harry almost always notices instantly when men are attractive...

Harry Potter And The Time He Projected His Feelings Of Attraction Onto His Crush’s Indifferent Minions
“Over at the Slytherin table Crabbe and Goyle were muttering together. Hulking boys though they were, they looked oddly lonely without the tall, pale figure of Malfoy between them, bossing them around.” – Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince
Um. Harry. Are you sure it’s Crabbe and Goyle who are lonely without Draco? Actually, scratch that. Based on book 7 we know they weren’t missing him.

I reached the Snape's Worst Memory chapter. Honestly I find this to be one of the hardest things to read in the whole series. The protracted, wanton cruelty is awful - and especially horrifying is the way most people in the scene look on and do nothing, or laugh.
Tumblr media
The fact that Snape can never just relax on a nice day. He has to hide himself in the shadows for fear of being attacked and tormented is so sad.
Tumblr media
We know what kind of person Wormtail grew up to be and we see here that he was always attracted to hanging around powerful, cruel people who could provide him with sadistic entertainment. He traded James & Sirius for Voldemort once he got out of school of course. But I think it says a lot about the kind of people they were at the time. This wasn't an isolated incident that went especially far, but a regular type of entertainment.
Tumblr media
It's really just sick what happens here. They're basically magically waterboarding him at this point. James is exactly the kind of person Harry would have stood up to if they'd gone to school at the same time. I mean after this memory he is so shaken he falls into a depression and wonders if James and Lily ended up together because he forced himself on her.
And to be clear I actually like the narrative potential of Harry discovering that the father he looked up to so much actually was the type of person he despises. I wish a bit more had been done with this though.
Tumblr media
The fact that James takes out his frustration with Lily's rejection by tormenting and humiliating Snape more says a lot about him. I also think it's really interesting Sirius is the one who says "[i]f you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals" but he never really connects that sentiment with how he and James treated Snape.
(As an aside I will also never get why JKR thinks James and Sirius are redeemable for this behavior even though we never get to see anything in canon to prove that James or Sirius ever truly acknowledged the depth of how wrong what they did was or regretted it, but somehow she gets all mad at people for suggesting that Draco, who did canonically regret his actions and change his ways and who never did anything like this, was somehow irredeemable.)

"Snape was looking as though the first person to ask him for a Love Potion would be force-fed poison."
-- Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
You know what. Given that Love Potions are basically the magical equivalent of a roofie I'm going to go ahead and say good for Snape. You go dude.

As readers we only know what Harry notices/pays attention to, and although we have no idea what color Cho’s eyes are or what Zacharias Smith’s voice sounds like, we know a lot about Draco Malfoy. Consider. We know:
His hair is blond. But not just blond. It’s a particular, white-blond color that gleams in the sunlight.
And very sleek, but loose enough that it falls around his face if he moves around vigorously enough.
He has grey eyes. Not just grey, but specifically light grey.
Harry also frequently describes them as glittering or sparkling.
He presumably has a sweet tooth as he gets regular sweets packages from home delivered by his eagle owl.
He has very pale skin which takes on a grayish tinge when he’s sickly.
He tends to narrow his eyes when he’s angry.
He doesn’t blush when he’s embarrassed but he does flush - just enough to give his skin a faint pink tinge.
He tends to move his hands a lot when talking animatedly.
His speech has a very specific drawling cadence and tone that makes his voice easily recognizable (to Harry at least).
This is all in canon.
Meanwhile, even though Harry and Ron are together practically 24/7 for seven years, we only find out that Ron’s eyes are blue halfway through Deathly Hallows.
