Annabel Crème is brought home to the Cavendish Manor for the very first time and immediately realizes what an adjustment this is going to be for her. Diana and Akko do everything in their power to make her feel welcome and loved, which is a massive change to what she's used to. This is the backdrop within which Akko and Diana finally seek Zatanna out in order to have a conversation that should have happened a month ago.

Rudolph Jones is now back in prison, and all attention turns to Gotham in the last mad dash to find Annabel before it's too late. While Akko does her part to sweep the Flood Zone for the girl, Diana takes advantage of everyone now being at the Manor to have some much-needed conversations in the brief moment of respite that they find themselves in. Her friends deserve that and more.

Meanwhile, Annabel knows that things are terrible wrong and offers one final act of defiance. Hopefully it will be enough.

Heather Sawyer and Jasmine Chidi really do have the most rotten luck: the day of their return to SWAT after their mandated block of leave turns out to be the day that a special operation is kicking off. Apparently, a Zero Point Module is being brought to STAR Labs for analysis. However, the rumors are abound that this is actually a trap set for the Parasite.

At the end of the day, though, Heather discovers that the most dangerous threat might not come from a Meta, but from normal humans. What can of worms has she opened this time?

Hannah England finalizes the contract for the upcoming merger with Ted Kord's personal lawyer, Mr. Bertram. After getting that done, she speaks with Diana, who is more exhausted than ever. Seeing that, Hannah devises a plan to keep Diana out of commission for the night while she goes and hunts down a lead.

If only she knew how that decision was going to change everything.

Supergirl takes the time to track down the new Scarecrow after yet another violent drug dealer is found dead, this one the victim of one of if not the deadliest nerve agent in the world. The MPD's rather lackluster response is also telling: their only concern is the method of murder, not the fact that another man has been killed. After taking an evening with Diana, Akko resolves to get to the bottom of things.

However, nothing could quite prepare her for what she finds at the end of the trail…

In the aftermath of the disastrous raid down into Undertown, Maggie and Akko have a heart-to-heart. Over in Gotham, Batwoman and Nightwing have to clean up after an unwise transaction involving a surplus diesel submarine, the US Navy Admiralty, and the private citizen P.N. Gwynn. Afterwards, a shaken Hannah speaks with Amanda and Zatanna in an effort to hasten their recovery of the pen before anything else insane or dangerous happens.

After all, things are getting worse.
