Bro. Saying “actually, this has made me realize I’m gonna detransition” after being in the dregs of “detrans kink” stuff isn’t great. You’re a victim. Coming to the conclusion, ON YOUR OWN, that a masculinizing transition is no longer what you want -at all- is fine enough. But we are living in a time where society as a whole and indeed loud pockets in our own communities are ACTIVELY discouraging masculinizing transition for a myriad of reasons ranging from white supremacist birth anxiety to misogyny and transphobia to ableism.
Imagine if someone whose kink play included being hit started saying they realized they needed to be genuinely hit and abused. Hopefully someone reasonable would ask if everything is okay.
Kink is fine, whatever yada yada, yes. We love sex here. But babes, LOOK AT THE SOCIAL CLIMATE!
It’s not an accident so much of this frankly annoying, rank shit actively discouraging and demonizing a masculinizing transition, that also includes a lot of “haha whoops, i compromised your bc so now you’re gonna be a mommy 🥰” shit in a time where legal, safe abortion is no longer the law of the land in the US and is under attack daily, is so fucking popular right now.

Always loved the Land of Misfit Toys segment in Rudolph and something about King Moonracer felt like the world was so much bigger and we were only scratching the surface with the lore. Like what’s his deal? There are winged lions in this world and there’s no explanation? Is there a Christmas song with one in it that I don’t know about? He just shows up and everyone is very chill about it.
