The arcana M6 during a boring lecture

I'm picturing one of those HUGE class with like 300+ students in multiple rows.

Nadia

Takes the most perfect notes, color coded, wonderful handwriting, clear, and referenced

Always on time

Secretly hates most of the classes bc the teacher is boring

She'll try to take the professor's place

She's just so good that the principle pretends she's an actual student

Everyone is happier this way

Asra

Sleeps through the class

Takes a lot of colorful notes

...none of them are about the lecture

Trades tarot readings for notes and explanations by their classmates

Interrupts the lecture often with random pieces of information about the subject

Random, but accurately correct

Somehow he passes

Julian

There's no knowledge he would deem as boring

Sits in the front row and takes actively part to the lecture

Never takes notes, survives on Nadia's

Always late

Still loved by the teacher

Will go play chess with the professor because he thinks he's sad no one likes the lecture

He sucks at chess

Party all day, study all night

Sleep? NAAH

Portia

Brings a plant to the lecture

"She felt alone at home"

Really tries to focus...

... but falls asleep on Asra (or viceversa)

She gets easily distracted by the other's jokes

Actually, I think she's the secret head-prankster in the room

Great sounding board, Nadia loves studying with her

That's how Portia passes

The plant is actually in perfect shape

Lucio

Is this a class?

I thought it was my auditory

Keeps an alternative lecture behind the last rows of seats

Always got booze

Nothing of what he says is true or correct

But he has charisma, people love listening to him

Will end up as the teacher's assistant ina few years???

Passes because he bribed/banged/convinced the teacher

Muriel

Oh my god why am I here

He's the classroom hero whenever a bugs flies in

He keeps the bug under a glass and spends the lecture looking at it

Will mostly talk to Portia's plant

He has the hugest girls fanclub

He's so embarassed by this

Borrows Asra's note, almost fails the test

He passes anyway, Lucio bribed the teacher again (out of guilt, ofc)

Muriel's graduation is more of a team effort

I was inspired to design these three a couple of decades into the future. Idk, it’s a small thing, but I really love to see when a character can grow old and content. There’s a lot of underrated happiness with age, especially when characters have had a lot of struggles

Also, as for my headcanons:

Muriel needs to use a walking stick fast due to his height and posture

Portia is the ultimate granny, following in Lilinka’s footsteps and taking care of a lot of children who need it

Lucio had to get through quite a few crises first but he’s actually pretty confident with how he looks

And on the eighth day of Chanukah, we see Portia absolutely demolishing her brother at dreidel and taking all his gelt, while MC and Mazelinka are probably busily preparing more latkes, because honestly you can never have enough latkes.

(Of course, I personally imagine that Jinana or Asra knitted this festive little kippah for Julian… and that Pasha splits the gelt with Julian anyway, if only after winning away his very last one. It’s the principle of the thing.)

I have seen SO many posts comparing Shane Madej and Julian, but I have a counter offer:

Yes, Shane and Julian are the same height, but Julian would act like Ryan Bergara if he were on a ghost hunting show. Julian’s one of the most superstitious of the main 6. He’d absolutely be the one too scared to sleep in the haunted house/asylum/boat. If you pull that flashlight trick on him, he’ll cry.

Meanwhile, I think Asra is the one most likely to act like Shane. Least superstitious of the main 6, knife cat energy, definite gadfly trying to goad Julian into freaking out over shadows.

about a week ago @bottomvalerius made this post that made my brain go so here’s my little re-design of Nadia’s masquerade outfit

idk if this is an unpopular opinion but while I love Nadia’s masquerade costume a lot for aesthetic alone, it really doesn’t fit her character, familiar, and or Patron and it. Bugs me ? lmao

To further elaborate:

excluding her hunting outfit (which I personally think is meant to mirror Lucio as she was literally hunting him) and her. Naked sprite, Nadia’s color-scheme is pretty light, the main colors being light purples, jade greens, and gold. This is reflected in both Chandra and the High Priestess’s designs:

The red and black primarily appear in the HP’s face and talons, but her main colors (especially in her clothes) are also similar lavenders —> pink gradients like Chandra.

Unlike with her hunting outfit, I don’t really see the reasoning why the devs would want her colors for the masquerade to mimic Lucio’s so much. The whole point is her severing herself from her ties to him. In all honesty, her outfit, feathers included, work much better for Julian, and the outfits weirdly look like they’re meant to go together:

Julian really isn’t present for most of her route, so again, I don’t see the reason why to really pair them like that together in such a way.

I would say all the others (excluding Lucio’s, I also feel like his outfit didn’t really reflect him much at all too) really represent themself and or their patron in some sort of way. Looking @ Nadia’s outfit, you would assume her familiar is a raven or another black bird like Julian, but it’s a white owl and so is her patron ? lmao

Idk! Food for thought. Again, I love the outfit as a stand-alone, but I think it doesn’t really. Reflect Nadia as much as it is just very hot LMAO it could work very well for her reverse ending, but not in the neutral state of the route tbh
