Baby Bumps
“You are beautiful. I hope you know that,”
Jimmy snorted, “Beautiful? Babe, I look like a goddamned whale.”
Sam grinned and Jimmy sharpened his glare, “If you agree with me, Winchester, I will kill you.”
“Oh no, no. You are beautiful, Jimmy. Beautiful and perfect. I hope you know how much I love you,” He whispered, leaning down, “And how much I love you, too.”
Jimmy's belly contorted with a kick, Sam laughing through his shock, “I think she likes me!”
“She likes your voice. Damn daddies girl already.”
They grinned, and kissed, and then Sam kissed the bump, a smile splitting his face.
“I love you, Sam Winchester.”
“And I you, Jimmy Novak.”

I don't think we talk enough about claire's trauma. Her dad was possessed by an angel when she was still a child, and then he died!! And that angel then remained inside her dad's body, even if his soul was no longer there. I would blow my brains out tbh.

Day 3: Inspired
AO3
Jimmy prays.
There's a voice somewhere, like an ethereal presence; inaudible, omnipresent. A power Jimmy can't understand, however it fills his heart with hope.
Deep inside his soul, he knows he's part of a mission or a miracle.
Maybe God needs us, just like we need him.
It’s not greed, it’s not vanity. It’s servitude, in its greatest manifestation.
Jimmy Novak prays, and he waits. Until one day his answer reveals.
As he raises his eyes to the sky, a rough voice calls his name, asking him for a sacrifice Jimmy is about to exchange for his family's safety. With trembling lips, words come out naturally.
“Then yes.”

Hi besties! I have been suuuuper busy recently writing up my very own version of the omegaverse! Super thanks to @corpsecas who helped me out here. Massively.
Its there for anyone who needs a basis to run on - people who get confused and stuck on details, like me. Free for anyone to use - no credit necessary, but sharing the link would be nice.
This is not copied from the "accepted canon" - its my own version, and if you disagree with some bits that is fine, but feel free to keep it to yourself.
Withour further adue, here is the link to the doc.
If you would prefer to read the post on tumblr, I have it all written up below the cut - its just not as pretty! Enjoy!

Biology:
Betas
Male and female betas have no difference to a human of their respective primary gender.
Betas do not have intense hormonal cycles and do not go into heat or rut, but may be affected by their alphas or omegas hormones in a pack setting.
Betas are fertile and breed amongst themselves and can mate with omegas and alphas.
A two beta pair typically have beta children, but in rare circumstances can have alpha or omega babies.
Alphas
Male alphas have no difference to a male human, just with a knot at the base of the penis that inflates while mating to lock pairs together.
Female alphas have no difference until puberty. Once a female alpha begins to mature sexually her clitoris will increase in size and firmness to function as a small penis, also developing a knot at the base for the same reasons.
Both male and female alphas go into ruts and can impregnate a female beta or omega of any sex.
Ruts are on a schedule, similar to heats, but micro ruts can be instigated when an alpha is sexually charged or feels that his omega was at risk of another (another alpha scented them, for example).
Alphas have retractable fangs and scent glands across their body.
Omegas
Male omegas are born with a vaginal opening between the testes and anus from which slick is produced and babies are born, similar to a vagina.
Female omegas have no difference to a human female besides slick production.
Slick is produced via glands in the vaginal canal - it can be produced out of heats, but only when extremely sexually charged. Otherwise their vaginas self lubricate.
Omegas also have varying scenting glands.
Society
Betas
Betas make up approximately 50% of the population.
Betas make up the vast majority of the workforce, particularly jobs where delicacy and professionalism are of utmost importance and many Betas go into medicine for this reason.
Betas are a part of nearly every pack/household/family unit. They function as the primary breadwinners, the household caretakers or some combination thereof.
Betas are highly respected, as without betas to run the vast majority of the world the economy and infrastructure would likely collapse.
Alphas
Alphas make up approximately 30% of the population.
Alphas are typically employed as guards. They're big and scary, and can hold near anyone off. The more in control alphas also work as hospital staff in alpha specific hospitals.
In a household alphas are the primary protectors. They protect their family unit from any and all dangers including rival alphas.
Alphas are also respected, but more out of fear. Betas will not willingly go against an Alpha like they would an Omega.
Omegas
Omegas make up approximately 20% of the population.
Omegas are largely unemployed, struggling to find work, so most stick to family companies (or own their own). Some may work in omega specific hospitals, like alphas.
Omegas control most of the family care. They raise the children (pups) and often take care of the more emotional side. They are pros at dealing with an Alphas rage.
Omegas are the least respected, although having a pack and mate does move them up in the world.
Suppressants & Enhancers
Betas
Betas don't necessarily need suppressants, but in certain professions may take neutralisers to seem docile to aggressive alphas. If a mated omega, pup or pack beta is in danger, their alpha could become dangerous if they perceive the doctor's scent to be domineering.
Over the counter enhancers can be bought to increase their scent's potency, either for sexual/mating reasons or parenting ones. Beta parents will enhance their scent so their pup latches onto them instead of nearby omegas.
Alphas
Alpha suppressants can be prescribed, but they need a valid reason - an alpha harming their own omega or becoming aggressive with their pack during rut, for example. These suppressants will not prevent ruts, they will just make them less intense. Prescribed suppressants must be reevaluated after each rut (and alphas on them long term are advised to speak to a therapist for anger management).
There are suppressants on the black market which do completely stop ruts and mute their scent to appear more beta-like. These are illegal and extremely dangerous. All suppressants run the risk of making alphas infertile, but the ones preventing ruts completely are almost guaranteed to. They can also stunt development and growth. When an alpha comes off their suppressants, their first few ruts are often described as feral, needing the alphas to be secured and far away from omegas (and in some cases betas).
Enhancers are used by alphas for the same reason they are used by betas. They aren't particularly necessary, however. They are also sometimes used to boost puberty in young alphas who are developing slowly, although most parents have moved away from this practice. Some alphas will use them to get lucky at a bar or club, but most omegas don't fall for it.
Enhancers do exist illegally, but they aren't particularly sought after. Most alphas will double dose legal enhancers. There's no real risk, but if alphas use them too often their natural scent can become weakened.
Omegas
Omega suppressants can also be prescribed and are easier to get ahold of than alpha suppressants. They are prescribed for easier heats - to ease cramping and shorten the length, slow down slick production. Heats can make omegas erratic and uncontrolled, although it is rare. Most prescribed suppressants are on request of the alpha.
Illegal suppressants for omegas are also easy to come by. They, like the ones for the alphas, stop heats completely and mute their scent. Similarly suppressants can render an omega infertile, and their first few heats can be extremely painful and leave the omega craving. Slick production may get out of control and their body temperature can rise dangerously.
Enhancers are almost never used by omegas. They have no need to boost scent as it attracts already, and young will instinctively latch onto the first omega scent they come across.
Relationships
Betas
The "expected'' relationship for betas is same sex. Betas mating with each other is very simple; there is some courtship necessary, making sure they're compatible, but generally it's unassuming. In pack settings there are more hoops to jump through, but it is still relatively easy. The breakdown of beta relationships tend to be a lot smoother than any other relationship.
Other sex relationships are less common. Beta/Alpha relationships are more common than beta/omega - calmer alphas do well with betas, but betas can find it hard to satiate their alphas needs during rut. They don't have the needed biology and they can become injured. Similarly, betas can't always satiate an omegas needs. These relationship breakdowns tend to be relatively easy on the beta in comparison to the alphas or omegas.
Alphas
The typical relationship for alphas is to be mated to an omega. These relationships are very typical and expected as soon as a person is made aware of their secondary sex. Alphas court omegas, typically, and the process usually starts by scenting. In pack settings an alpha would have to prove themself worthy to the omegas current alpha. Fighting over an omega is also not unheard of, especially when one is on the brink of rut. These couples have an even chance for any sex of young, but alphas are more likely first born. Relationship breakdowns can be extremely damaging to alphas mentally, especially if they are breaking a mating bond.
Alpha/beta relationships are uncommon for a multitude of reasons - most alphas have more strength than a beta can handle. Alphas often harm beta mates unintentionally and can be unfulfilled in beta relationships. These relationships typically have beta young, but alpha is likely too. It's unlikely but possible to have omega young. Relationship breakdowns in these relationships are also bad, but not as typically as with betas.
Alpha/alpha relationships are incredibly rare and typically frowned upon, with the general exception of male/female alpha couples, who are treated as any other couple. Despite that, alphas who choose to mate within themselves are often viewed as dangerous - some assume too dangerous for an omega, so they need the other alpha to keep them in check. Some believe one alpha must be too submissive, unable to handle an omega, and so settles for another alpha. This is generally untrue, however. Alpha/alpha pairings are ostracized from packs, but packs of alphas are not unheard of in the more recent years and these couples are guaranteed to have alpha children, although beta and omega babies are possible. The breakdown of alpha/alpha relationships seems to have the most effect on alphas but no one is really sure why.
Omegas
The typical relationship for an omega is with an alpha. Omegas await an alphas courtship, generally, and either accept or deny. As the times are changing more omegas are saying no to pushy alphas and are instigating relationships themselves. They are also more likely to have hook up style relationships, less being tied to an alpha. Young from these relationships have an even chance of being any sex - although the first born is more likely to be an Alpha and unlikely to be an omega. Omegas are not as negatively affected by relationship breakdowns, but this is potentially because the omegas tend to be the ones who end the relationships.
Omega/beta relationships are rare, the rarest of beta relationships, and typically don't work out. Omegas are needy and betas struggle to cope with them. Their heats can be overwhelming to alphas and other omegas, so betas find it particularly difficult. These relationships don't typically last long enough to procreate, but beta children would be expected. They also just don't have the ability to keep up with an omegas sexual needs.
Omega/omega relationships are the rarest of them all but are thought to be some of the healthiest. Omegas can soothe each other in ways alphas nor betas can achieve regardless of how hard they try. Unfortunately, these relationships are heavily frowned upon. It was at one point outlawed for omegas to mate together as they're almost always guaranteed to have omega children. That law has since been overturned but the social barriers still exist. Omegas who choose to mate within themselves are also often ostracized from packs. Typically omega pairs are mated to alphas but given permission to engage together. Omega/omega relationships almost never break down, but the few times they have it has ended catastrophically for one or both omegas.
Mating & Pheromones
Betas
Betas mating depends entirely on who they're mating. Beta/beta relationships don't require true mating. They need to consummate their relationship, in the modern age usually by a ring. Some betas will still have a "mating bite" - although they don't scar like real mating bites on alphas and omegas. The mating glands on their neck are useless and do not carry scent - some betas are even born without them. If they are mating an alpha they take the place of omega.
Betas don't release pheromones the same way alphas or omegas do, but their natural scent can increase when they are feeling aroused, especially by their mate. These are times they may use enhancers (see above).
Alphas
Alphas will mate their partners with a bite which is often the last step. It scars and is permanent. Leading up to this they will scent on them and mark them with said scent. The mating bite has to be bitten through a gland on the omegas neck. They have two, one on either side - only one needs to be bitten to be mated, but once that gland has been bitten through it can not be bitten again. Alphas also have glands on their necks, although they are considered useless. If another alpha bites the glands it is counted as a true mating bite.
Pheromones are released during mating and rut. They are intended to attract mates and can, in extreme cases, trigger an omega into a heat.
Omegas
Omegas will also bite their alphas neck glands to mate, although those bites are not necessary for mating, they are simply for show. Omegas can technically mate twice but some alphas will bite both glands to make sure their omega doesn't mate again. Omegas mostly scent their alphas, waiting for their bite.
Pheromones in omegas work similarly to those in alphas. They attract alphas and can instigate a rut in them. Pheromones are also a sign of a particularly fertile heat, intended to trigger the alpha into breeding their omega.
Scenting & Marking
Betas
Betas scents are muted in comparison to alphas and omegas, but still notable. Betas tend to have more common or muddled scents - things like citrus rather than a specific fruit (lemon, lime). Scents are affected by parents' scents and they do change with age and post mating. Scents are hugely important in packs for communication. They can explain a lot nonverbally, allowing pack members to understand their feelings without explanation.
Scent marking isn't as common with betas but is still something they partake in, especially in pack settings. They have scent glands on their wrists that they use for intentional marking and scent glands on their genitalia that marks their partner during Intercourse.
Alphas
Alphas have strong, overpowering scents. They are used to mark out territory and claim all pack members as theirs. They tend to have stronger, specific scents that relate to their personality - an aggressive alpha may have the scent of burnt wood or metal, freshly welded. Alphas scents are imperative to maintaining a pack and communicating with other alphas - they allow alphas to sense incoming danger. Alphas scents are also based on their family and pack, changing with age and mating.
Marking is a huge deal to alphas - they mark their territory and their pack. Everything the alpha owns must smell like them in some way. They have scenting glands on their wrists and genitalia, but also on their ankles - making brushing up against trees or such easier. They also scent from their armpits and their body odor in general is used for marking and claiming.
Omegas
Omegas scents are necessary for all the reasons alphas and betas are - communication. Their scents tend to be more varied. Omegas are the only sex whose scent changes based on feelings directly. An omega has a general scent with specifics within, and their scents are less based on their pack than alphas and betas and don't change with mating, although the "groups" their scents fall under are often based in real life experiences. An example of an omega scent would be leather and gasoline if they were raised by a mechanic - familiar smells they've known their whole life. These differing scents are incredibly important in child rearing as it helps children learn how to identify emotions and react appropriately.
Marking is also huge for omegas, as it allows them to claim what's theirs. Omegas typically mark their pups and important family members, less things or territory. Omegas have scenting glands behind their ears and on their necks, next to their mating glands, to attract mates. They also have the glands on their wrists and genitalia. Slick works as a marking bond, too.
Eye Colors
Betas
Betas eye colors don't change all that much and there isn't a "beta" color. Their eyes simply take its natural color and have it glow to unnatural levels. Brown eyes become burning gold, blue eyes become bright enough to light an entire room.
It takes a lot to push a beta to glowing eyes - usually only direct attacks on their family or a pack-on-pack fight. Their eyes just portray their anger.
Alphas
Alphas eyes will glow their natural color much like betas until a certain point - when their mate or pack come under attack, notably. Alphas eye colors exist on a spectrum - all alphas eye colors are warm tones, reds, oranges and yellows - an alphas control and respect controls how their eyes are portrayed. The weaker they are, the lighter their eyes are, in yellows. The best alphas - strong, well rounded - have the brightest of bright red eyes.
Alphas eyes color during high stress situations, but also during rut or mating. When their eyes turn their fangs will also extend.
Omegas
Again, omegas eyes will glow their natural color until a certain point. Their eye colors also exist on a spectrum, this time cool. Blues and greens. It can be hard to distinguish if an omega has passed the point of no return with their eyes. When they switch fully they can be just as damaging as alphas. Certain omegas can move into purple eyes, which makes them, essentially, invincible. A purple eyed omega can take out five alphas in a row and still go for more. Purple eyes are only seen when protecting pups or other omegas.
Omegas eyes also change during mating and heat, their fangs elongating with the eye change also.
Packs
Packs are less frequent in the modern world but are extremely necessary. A lot of packs nowadays do not function in the typical dynamic, but people have adapted to the corporate world which allows them to keep their history.
Previously packs were often large, numbers in the hundreds - typically with one head alpha and omega pair with several younger alphas and omegas. They were often composed of several families and friends, very occasionally bringing in loners. Packs were vital for the survival of their species.
Betas do, naturally, make up over half of the pack, and are a vital part in making sure it stays running. Most original packs would have healers, betas who were trained within the pack to assist with all medical needs.
Alphas within the original packs answered to their head alpha, going by them to do most things - especially choose a mate or procreate. Alphas who didn't want to fall to authority were free to challenge the head for their position or leave and start their own pack.
Omegas within the packs were not too different, although they more went to the head omega for advice and guidance rather than permission.
In the modern day packs do not function in the same way - they're smaller and can not be as dependent. Due to the change in dynamics a lot of people struggle and suffer emotionally. The packs formed tend to be over larger expanses of space with fewer get togethers; not living together and not bonding as needed.
Alphas are also generally less tolerant of each other as they tend to be possessive - which actively works against them, as they miss out on vital bonding.
Similarly alphas tend to cut their omegas off from other omegas once mated, mostly unintentionally. It's also a bad thing for them.
However, modern dynamics aren't all bad, as they do sometimes lead to excessive bonding, which is always good - as seen with the packe composed completely of omegas and those composed completely of alphas. These dynamics tend to be the healthiest of all modern dynamics.

The SPN timeline is so fuzzy like. Presumably Cas possessed Jimmy just before he went to meet Dean, right? Which would make it mid-September 2008. But then, in The Rapture all the flashbacks say ONE YEAR AGO. And we don’t really get a lot of other context clues as to the date in the show other than assuming unless stated otherwise that the date of the episode airing is the date the episode starts as well.
Which means The Rapture either takes place around April 30th, 2009 or mid-September 2009.
Personally, I prefer mid-September, because otherwise that would put Claire being possessed, and then ditched, by Castiel and losing her father all over again within days of her 12th birthday (Cas and Dean gave her birthday gifts in Angel Heart, which aired on April 29th, 2015).

like Claire is Exactly the kind of human Lucifer does attach himself to, right? Someone who is alone, someone who has had a great injustice done to them, someone who is looking for some way to do something about it without really knowing what that something is. Lucifer loves lost souls like that, it’s his whole thing, it’s him saying ‘I can give you justice’ to Nick and ‘Keep that anger, I’m going to need it’ to Sam.
It’d be him (fresh out of the cage, fresh off amara & chuck’s spat, fresh off the realization that his dad really does not give a shit about him because the story moved past lucifer and left him and his purpose behind) looking at Claire and going, “Yeah, you’re right to be angry, you’re right to be hurt. You want to see how much damage we can do together with that pain?”
