Movie Night

[Finally finished my last entry for Perryshmirtz Week this year. It took a while but I promised myself I would finish this year.]
[Hope everyone has a Happy New Year]
One More Day
Another day.
Another day with Heinz Doofenshmirtz.
Perry could barely keep back his happiness.
It’s been a while since Heinz became Perry’s nemesis. He always loved recalling all the memories they had shared together. Learning more about Heinz, spending time with him, and even getting more and more closer to him, even though it was mostly thanks to their fights.
There were times the two got to hang out, just the two of them, without the need of their good versus evil routines. Perry admitted he loved those moments the most. He wondered if there would be more moments like that even with Heinz declaring he was renouncing evil completely.
He hoped so. Very deeply.
Perhaps tonight was a good sign that there would be more. Heinz had invited Perry to a private movie night. It was private due to only a few villains knowing about it. That sounded suspicious to Perry but Heinz assured him it was perfectly safe for them to go. He claimed he has seen other nemesis there with their partnered villains a few times and nothing bad every came from it.
“It’s open only once a month and tickets are cheap as well as the snacks!” Heinz explained excitingly. “There’s good movies playing too, though they are pirated so the quality isn’t that great.”
Perry raised an eyebrow to that fact.
Heinz shrugged his shoulders. “We’re villains. What’d you expect?”
Perry tugged at Heinz’s lab coat and gave a worried look.
“Oh!” Heinz realized. “I mean, they are villains. I’m definitely quitting all that, Perry. It’s just...” Heinz paused to find the right words. “this is kind of my last day as a villain, since tomorrow I’m officially turning in all my villain registration papers and license, so what better way to end it than with my own wonderful nemesis?”
Perry felt himself blush from that compliment.
“And...”Heinz continued a bit nervously. “There is the fact that if you bring your nemesis, you get free entry.”
Perry crossed his arms. Ruining the moment again. He huffed disappointedly.
Heinz suddenly picked up Perry and held him up. “But, you know...” he said with joy in his eyes. “Even if I had to pay or even if there was no private villain theater, I would love to spend this last night as a villain with my wonderful and unforgettable nemesis.”
Perry blushed again. Okay, at least he knows how to bring back the moment.
.....
Perry waited by the spot that Heinz told him would be the best and, especially, the safest. It wasn’t too far from the theater but not too close either. Heinz assured there had never been bad occurrences before but he still felt it would be safer if he shows up with Perry than have an OWCA agent just show up at an all villain event.
Perry checked and fixed up his fur for the fourth time this night. He had made sure his fur was looking even shinier than usual and feeling extra smooth. He couldn’t help but feel high hopes for tonight(like extra pets or something like that). He wasn’t sure if tonight he would finally confess to Heinz how much he loves him but he always liked to be prepared for any situation. Even if there would be no confessions tonight, if they could have fun like always, it will still be consider a win to Perry.
Perry was thinking of every situation that could happen tonight until Heinz had pulled up in a taxi.
“Perry the Platypus!” Heinz called out quickly.
Perry noticed that Heinz wasn’t wearing his usual lab coat, he just had his usual pants and black turtleneck shirt. He looked...good, Perry thought. He also wondered if it was a symbolic way for Heinz to show that he was really leaving his evil ways behind. Or maybe he just thought he would look good. Perry had no complaints.
Heinz sent off the taxi and told him to charge it on his tab. He turned to Perry and smiled happily. “I’m so glad you’re here Perry, safe and sound. To be honest, I was a bit worried since there is still a lot of villains near by and, well, maybe... you know, you might have changed your mind?”
Perry noticed the look of relief on Heinz’s face. He started to realize that maybe Heinz had the same worry he had, if they would still want to be around each other even with their nemesiship coming to an end?
Perry grabbed onto Heinz’s hand and smiled at him. It was his usual gentle smile that he would show Heinz to comfort him and simply say he is here for him. He wanted to assure his long-time nemesis (and hopefully soon-to-be lover) that he would always want to be around him. Even just being close by him makes him the happiest platypus ever.
Heinz gently squeezed Perry’s hand. It was always his way of showing that he loved when they held hands like this. It was never clear to Perry if it was cause Heinz found the agent’s strong hands to also be remarkably cute and soft feeling or because Heinz loved the way that Perry showed support to him especially in ways like this. Perry hoped it was most likely the latter but both reasons would be fine too (though he would prefer the words strong and skilled than cute and soft).
Heinz kept holding onto to Perry’s hand until they made it to the supposedly secret villain theater. To Perry, it just looked like an old and abandon building. It definitely gave “keep out” vibes. No wonder the tickets and food were cheap here.
“Oh, don’t look like that, Perry,” Heinz scoffed as he opened the creaky door and jester to Perry to come inside. “I know that it doesn’t look grand but it can’t grab too much attention since it is suppose to be a secret villain hideout. Though I did offer some ideas to make it look more evil than dirty,” Heinz mumbled the last part in a disappointed tone. “It’s much better inside.”
Perry went inside and examined himself. It was definitely looking more clean and a bit more fixed up but there were definitely parts that still gave off an unwelcoming tone.
“And by that I actually mean a bit better, Heinz confessed.
Suddenly a bright light flashed unto the two, blinding them from their front view. Perry could tell it was shining from a high ground and he quickly stood in front of Heinz, ready to protect him.
A deep voice emerged from the direction where Perry was sure the light was coming from. “Who goes there?”
“Hi, it’s me, Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz,” Heinz announced quickly and a bit nervously as if he was aware of possible danger from this person. “Oh and I brought my nemesis, Agent Perry the Platypus.”
“Ah, yes, for the free movie night with your nemesis,” the mysterious person answered back. “Alright, you know the rules. Give space to each villain as to not start any fights, whether it be verbal or physical.”
“It’s mostly verbal,” Heinz whispered to Perry.
“And, most importantly,” they continued. “No trickery or traps or anything suspicious like that. Or there will be consequences.”
The bright light turned off. Perry’s eyes adjusted a bit to see a silhouette of a figure standing on a balcony that was ahead of them.
“Dire Consequences,” the figure said in a more deeper and sinister tone. Heinz nodded quickly seeming a bit shaken by that warning (or really a threat). Even Perry got a bit shaken but he stood his ground. He wanted Heinz and this suspicious stranger to know that he was ready to protect Heinz from anything and anyone.
The figure stepped back and started to disappear into the darkness. “Oh,” they called out before disappearing completely. “And no outside food or drinks please.”
Heinz nodded again and started to walk to another entrance ahead of them. He signaled Perry to follow along. Perry looked up at where mysterious figure had been standing. He was a bit worried if they really should continue since he didn’t know anything about this theater or the person running it. He looked at Heinz again and saw him smiling. Well, he shouldn’t let his guard down all completely but maybe this time he could lower it just a bit to relax. He wanted to enjoy this night with Heinz no matter what.
The two entered through. Perry looked around. It actually looked like a decent looking theater. The movie screen was big and bright, the chairs looked in good conditions and actually comfortable to sit on, and it was spacious enough to allow distance between each villain.
“This way to our seats, Perry the Platypus,” Heinz whispered. “I think I got us some pretty good seats.”
While Perry followed Heinz down the aisle , he looked around to observe the other villains who were here tonight. To his surprise, there were indeed other OWCA agents here too. It was still pretty dark with just the light from the movie screen illuminating the room a bit, but he was sure he could see Professor Poofenplotz and Agent Pinky sitting next to each other and even sharing a large popcorn. He than noticed Agent Silent G with his nemesis Dr. Diminutive and they actually looked like they were...cuddling?
Heinz did say that villains have brought their nemesis here before but it still surprised him to see his own coworkers around here and even being close and friendly with their assigned villains. Rumors spread a lot in the OWCA offices but Perry never heard even so much as a whisper of this place or what goes on here. He didn’t even know his other coworkers were this close with their own assigned villains.
He was still a bit surprised by what he was seeing but it slowly started to make sense to him. He didn’t exactly go ranting on about his close relationship with his nemesis to OWCA or anyone really. It wasn’t that he was embarrassed by it, it’s just he was an agent so keeping things secret is just what he does. He kept most things precious to him a secret from others. His closeness with Heinz was no exception. Plus, the OWCA office can be filled with such gossip and he didn’t want to hear any negativity about his relationship with his Heinz Doofenshmirtz (or any negativity towards his Heinz).
As the two approached close to their seats, Perry caught a glimpse of Peter the Panda with his own nemesis, Professor Mystery. So they did patch things up, Perry thought as he remembered all the drama that happened between them and their nemesis.
Peter the Panda caught a glimpse of Perry, too. When he saw Heinz just ahead of him, he looked at Perry again and gave him a thumbs up.
Perry smirked at him as he moved closer to Heinz. He admitted that he still felt some remorse from the whole incident the three of them went through but Perry tried to be understanding. During that time, Peter had felt distant from his nemesis and Heinz was actually good company when you got use to him. Anyways, the three had settled their feelings and managed to fix their nemesiships.
Perry looked around one more time. Maybe what he felt for Heinz wasn’t anything bad or unethical. Maybe it was just what it really was. Love.
The two made it to their seats and sat next to each other. Perry started to unwind and relax into his seat. He was still going to be alert of his surroundings, but everything seemed safe, especially with other agents here, too. This will be enjoyable night after all.
Perry started to remember everything Heinz and him have been through together. The first rememberable day they met, the crazy fights and adventures they had, the moments they got closer and friendlier with each other (Perry secretly wished they would have gotten even more friendlier) and, especially, the moment when he realized he was actually in love with Heinz. The moment that happened, his life seemed to have gotten a bit more brighter and even happier.
It wasn’t like his life before wasn’t nice. He got to be a great agent (though he would admit OWCA sure needed some improvements) and he got a great family to go home to (though he admitted he would appreciate it if Cadence’s attitude would improve towards him). It was just Heinz was like an added piece to his happiness. He completed him. He liked that. He wanted Heinz in his life forever and he felt Heinz wanted that, too.
Heinz looked at Perry. He smiled at him as he reached over and grabbed his nemesis’ hand. “Thank you again for coming here. I can’t imagine a better way to end my life of evil than with the one who completely changed my life.”
Perry started to notice a blush emerge on Heinz’s face. Heinz always commented on how cute and adorable Perry was, but, at this moment, Perry thought Heinz was the most cutest, hands down. Perry placed his own hand on top of Heinz and gave a gentle squeeze.
Heinz looked away for a bit, looking like his face was getting even more redder. “Um, the movie is about to start. Why don’t I go get some snacks for us?”
As Heinz was getting up, Perry held onto Heinz’s hand and pulled him back to his seat. He then moved over and sat on top of Heinz’s lap. He cuddled happily against his soon-to-be ex-nemesis (and, with any luck, his soon-to-be lover) and smiled at Heinz with a loving look. He wanted to show Heinz that all he needed was him close by him. Just like this. Always.
Heinz looked loving back at Perry. “I guess we could get something to eat later. Right now, this is nice.”
The movie started to play. The two leaned back and watched happily together with the other villains and agents. And the night went on better than the two imagined. No traps or fights. Just the company of each other and the closeness the two always wanted.
Perry couldn’t wait for another day like this with his Heinz Doofenshmirtz.

My Family
It all began when I was first created and became part of a small family. My evil, and often grumpy, scientist dad and my sassy but cool teenage sister.
Tumblr media
I was made to assist my dad with his battles against his nemesis, Perry the Platypus, who was an actually platypus and the best agent.
Father and Perry acted like they hated each other but Sis and I knew that they actually really liked each other.
Tumblr media
Eventually, when my father renounced evil and a bunch of other stuff had happened, Perry and my dad finally confessed their love for each other and they even got married.
Tumblr media
My dad became the great inventor, Professor Time, and Perry, my now second Dad, was always by his side. With the love and support they gave each other, my dads had many successful time traveling adventures. My sister even got be congresswoman and she is a really cool one!
Tumblr media
Than my family got even bigger with new siblings and friends. All of them are so wonderful in their own ways and they have some stories to tell about their own adventures.
Tumblr media
But that’s my story of how I, Norm, got to be part of an amazing family that I’ll always love forever and I’m sure they’ll love me forever and ever.
Tumblr media
Needless to say, I’m very happy
I love the Professor Time family by @looney-mooney that I had to draw it for Perryshmirtz Week Day 5 Family.
And I’d love to see Norm happy (he deserves it)

Perryshmirtz Week
Day three
Confessions
Close Call
Perry sighed. Another Day.
Another day fighting Heinz Doofenshmirtz.
Perry couldn’t believe how long this assignment was taking. When he was first assigned to monitor Heinz Doofenshmirtz, a recently new villain, for any evil activities, he was sure that it would only take him a day. Usually the new villains couldn’t wait to show off whatever “evil plans” they’ve come up with and Perry would figure out how to stop them, give a good fight, and arrest them. That’s what happened most of the times.
But Doofenshmirtz proved to be more of a challenge than he thought.
Every time Perry would be close to arresting Doofenshmirtz, an explosion would distract the agent or give a chance for the villain to escape. It was nice that most of Doofenshmirtz’s inventions had a self-destruct button on it, since Perry would sometimes see it and press it for an easy job done, but Perry felt it was a bit too dangerous for Doofenshmirtz to use. That guy was more clumsy than anyone he has ever met.
Perry looked over the details for today’s mission. Doofenshmirtz is up to something today. Yet again. How long was this going to take?
A thought passed through Perry’s mind saying Forever.
That answer should have filled Perry with more grief for that would mean he would be on the same mission for years. Instead, it kind of filled him with joy.
Perry took a step back. What is going on in his mind? Joy? For continuing his fights with Doofenshmirtz?
Well, he was OWCA’s best agent. Maybe he just enjoyed fighting that much now.
No. That wasn’t it. True, fighting evil brought excitement to his life but, with Heinz Doofenshmirtz, it was different.
He was different in the way Perry felt for him. He still like punching the villain but it wasn’t out of hatred. Maybe it was just for fun?
Perry shook the thoughts out of his mind. He had a mission to do. He can’t be thinking of his feelings for Heinz.
Feelings for Heinz?
Perry dashed out of his cubicle. He really needed to stop thinking these things.
As he was on his way to the elevators, he overhead some whispers from agents as he was passing by.
“Did you hear he is on his way to fight that new villain again?”
“He usually doesn’t take this long.”
“Think there’s something dangerous about this guy?”
“It could be the great Perry just doesn’t want to arrest him.”
Can’t they just mind their own business, Perry grumbled in his thoughts. It’s nothing too unusual that he was taking this long to arrest Heinz Doofenshmirtz. It’s not like...
“What? Do you think he likes him?”
Upon hearing that, Perry felt his face getting red. His fur covered up the blushing but Perry could still feel the heat raising on his face.
He rushed to the elevator.
What was going on with him? He kept asking himself as he made his way to Doofenshmirtz Inc.
......
Today was a typical day with Heinz Doofenshmirtz. The villain would trap Perry, give a detail backstory of why he made his evil inator, than Perry would fight him and manage to thwart Doofenshmirtz’s evil plans.
Everything was going on as usually and Perry had finally escaped Heinz’s trap. Today Doofenshmirtz had Perry trapped in a ton of ribbons. Apparently ribbons have been quite a burden for Doofenshmirtz throughout his life but only because of how hard they were to tie and get to look so pretty and the fact that shopkeepers would not allow him to play with them before buying them.
In fact, the inator today was ribbon based as well, threatening to shoot out many ribbons and tangle the whole town in an annoying mess.
Perry saw that Doofenshmirtz was distracted with loading ribbons in the inator that he took this as his chance to look for the self destruct button.
Perry saw it. Just underneath the inator. Now to get Doofenshmirtz out of the way.
Perry jumped on Doofenshmirtz’s back and pushed him away from the inator. Doofenshmirtz was surprised by this and fell back. Perry quickly dived under the inator and pressed the button. The countdown was starting.
Doofenshmirtz saw this and whined. “Oh man, so quickly? But I barely got to use my inator.”
Perry rolled his eyes and started to make his way away from the soon exploding inator. He looked back for a moment to see where Doofenshmirtz might be running off to so he could hopefully arrest him later.
However Doofenshmirtz wasn’t running.
Apparently when Perry had surprised Doofenshmirtz, the villain had accidentally got some of the ribbons wrapped around his arms and since the ribbons were attached to the inator-
He’s trapped!
Perry panicked. The inator was down to its last seconds. Doofenshmirtz couldn’t escape and it was all his fault.
He rushed to his nemesis. He couldn’t let Doofenshmirtz get badly hurt or worse! If that would happen...
He’d never see him again. He’d never hear his tragic backstories again or get to know him better or get to fight him or spend the day with him or just see how actually of a nice and wonderful guy he really is despite his clumsiness and sometimes annoying manners.
Knowing that would all be gone in a manner of seconds made Perry feel absolutely terrified.
He got to Doofenshmirtz and tried to pull the ribbons off him but they just got more knotted.
Five seconds
“See, this is the problem with ribbons,” Doofenshmirtz started to complain even though this wasn’t the right time. “Either they make you late for parties or for trying to get away from explosions.”
Three seconds.
Perry grew desperate. He didn’t have anything sharp in his hat today and he had no time to look around for something. He grabbed ribbons that were tying Heinz to the inator and used his teeth to cut them. It hurt but it managed to work.
“Wow, you have some strong teeth Perry the Platypus,” Heinz complimented.
One second
Perry quickly got Heinz on his feet but before they could make a run for it, the inator exploded.
Perry prepared for a great deal of pain but it actually wasn’t that bad. After the explosion, when the smoked clear and everything seemed to have settled down, Perry looked up and saw that Heinz was covering Perry with his hands and keeping him close to his body.
Heinz was trying to protect him.
Perry was filled with so many mixed feelings. Appreciative, relaxed, content, and very happy. It caused him to feel confused and even scared. What could this all mean? Wasn’t Heinz his enemy? Shouldn’t he be hating him?
Was he actually in love with Heinz Doofenshmirtz?
Heinz looked down to Perry. He looked relieved that Perry wasn’t too badly injured.
“Wow, that was a close call, huh?” Heinz chuckled. “Um, I really appreciate that you came to save me and all but don’t put yourself too close to explosions for me. Trust me, that wasn’t my first close explosion and I’m certain it won’t be my last or worst.”
Perry chuckled. Heinz was a lot stronger than he thought. Strong and brave and..
Perry grabbed tightly onto Heinz’s lab coat.
So very kind. Very loving.
Perry came close to Heinz’s face.
How couldn’t he fall in love with him?
Heinz looked quite curious on what Perry was doing but he did nothing to stop him. Perry could even see Heinz was blushing a bit.
Could Heinz feel the same way like him?
Maybe he could find out right now.
Perry leaned closer to Heinz only showing love and affection in his eyes for him. So close now. If Heinz won’t stop him, Perry was going to-
Beep beep beep beep
The sounded startled the two. Perry realized it was the sound of his watch. The two looked at each other for a moment but than turned away, both blushing quite a bit.
Perry answered the call.
Major Monogram appeared on the screen. “Perry the platypus. We heard from the surveillance cameras that an explosion went off in Doofenshmirtz’s building. Course this wasn’t what surprised us but we got a warning that your heartbeat was more rapid than usual and wanted to check that you were okay or if you needed any medical attention right away.”
Perry was really glad his fur covered up his blushing face or else both his boss and his nemesis would be able to tell something was up with him.
That’s right. Heinz Doofenshmirtz was his nemesis and he was a secret agent. Even if he really felt something for Heinz, how could he ever act upon it? It would not only be very unprofessional but unethical. It wasn’t just their job status that separated them. Heinz was a human being and Perry was a platypus. Sure Perry thought and acted like a human, even worked hard like one, but would Heinz think that would make them an acceptable couple?
Perry gave Major Monogram a thumbs up to show he was okay.
“That’s good. Any chances of capturing Heinz Doofenshmirtz?”
Perry looked at Heinz. Heinz looked a bit worried that Perry was going to arrest him right away but Perry looked back at the screen and gave a thumbs down.
“Oh, no matter Agent P. These things happen sometimes. Can’t get them all. Guess you’ll have to stop Doofenshmirtz the next time he comes up with something evil. Most likely tomorrow.”
Perry smiled. He liked the sound of that.
Perry saluted and signed off. Now it was just Heinz and him.
Heinz smiled at Perry which Perry realized made him very happy. “Thanks for not arresting me and all. I mean, eventually I would have gotten out. Weird explosions happen to me a lot and out of nowhere even in jail but the wait time is kind of uncertain so it definitely saves me a lot of time. So thanks a lot Perry the Platypus.”
Perry also realized he loved when Heinz said his name. He smiled happily back at his nemesis.
“Wait a moment,” Heinz said as he looked around at the aftermath of the explosion. “You know this mess wouldn’t have happened if you would have just let me use my inator and not press the self destruct button and ruin everything like you always do.”
Perry crossed his arms. Way to ruin a moment. He dusted off the remaining debris and went towards the balcony to fly off with his jet pack.
“And now you’re just leaving without helping me clean up?” Heinz complained more.
Perry looked back at Heinz and winked at him. He noticed Heinz blushed from that which filled Perry with a bit of hope.
He jumped off and went soaring to his way back to OWCA.
Another day without arresting Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Before that would cause him so much frustration, from having to work again to the the whispers of the rest of the agents, but now that stuff wasn’t important. What mattered to him now was getting to see Heinz again. And stopping Heinz’s evil plans to keep the town and his boys safe, of course, but seeing Heinz was now an added bonus for him.
“Curse you, Perry the Platypus!”
Perry heard Heinz’s shout and smiled contently from hearing his nemesis call his name again.
He wondered if there would ever come a time he would be able to confess these feelings to Heinz one day. For sure he was glad it was not today.
He was driven by the heat of the moment and the realization that he was actually in love with his own nemesis that he almost felt compelled to kiss Heinz right than and there for the sake of love.
But that would have probably been a bad idea. After all, he wasn’t sure if Heinz did feel the same way. Though now that he thinks of it, there were some clues that he did.
Either way, a kiss was too early. For now, he would just keep seeing Heinz and seeing how their relationship will progress. Today was just a close call.

Perryshmirtz Week
Separation
Time traveling can be challenging, even confusing. Sometimes, you might end up separated from each other and with time being relative, even just a few moments apart might seem like a lifetime.
But don’t give up hope.

Perryshmirtz Week
First Meeting
First Day
Perry the Platypus sighed heavily. Another villain?
He had done surveillance on this new villain that OWCA had assigned him earlier today and, to be honest, he didn’t think anything special of him.
In fact, to Perry, this Heinz Doofenshmirtz seemed a bit different from the other villains he was assigned to fight and arrest. This one didn’t seem dangerous at all. He kind of even seemed a bit goofy.
Regardless, it was his duty to keep surveillance. It shouldn’t take long till some evil action is done and Perry would come in to put a stop to it. It was just a matter of waiting.
Which is what he had been doing outside this “Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc.” building for last past four hours. Just waiting. He looked at his watch. No news from OWCA and it was getting late. He would need to be getting home soon. Which would only mean he would have to come back tomorrow.
He let out an even heavier sigh. He didn’t want to come back here tomorrow. He wanted to get this done and over with just like with his other assignments. Maybe than he might get a free day tomorrow instead. Though deep down, Perry knew that was a long shot. Still, he didn’t want his work piling up on him.
He looked up the tall building. According to some intel, this Doofenshmirtz should be on the very first floor. He took out his grappling hook. Time to make his way up there.
................
It might have taken him a while but Perry the platypus has now reached the balcony of the first floor. He stayed hidden hanging by his grappling hook. He couldn’t just attack with no reason so maybe he could listen to some evil planning and than take action.
He suddenly heard footsteps approaching. And than a heavy sigh.
“Why can’t I get this inator right?” a voice cried out which Perry assumed was Heinz Doofenshmirtz’s. Perry hadn’t heard him spoken before and just noticed a bit of an accent or something. It was definitely a one of a kind voice.
“I finally get a nemesis assigned to me. Finally attention! But now it’s so much pressure,” Heinz continued to complain.
Perry wondered how Heinz knew he was assigned a nemesis. Guess he wasn’t as well hidden behind that mailbox earlier as he had thought.
“I can’t mess this up,” Heinz cried out. “I just can’t.” Heinz leaned on the balcony. “I just want to make a good first impression.”
Perry noticed something. Most of the bad guys he had to deal with always sounded either grumpy, mean, hateful, and especially selfish which made it easier for Perry to want to beat up. This one was different. He sounded relatable. Who hasn’t felt the nervousness of wanting to make a good first impression? Of wanting to always make a good impression and always wanting to be the best.
Perry than wondered what he was possibly thinking. Was he feeling sympathy for this villain? He couldn’t do that. He had a job and it had to be done. He decided he needed to do it now before he started getting more of these weird feelings.
He let go of the grappling hook and caught onto the balcony. However it wasn’t just the balcony he grabbed onto.
Apparently in the rush of the moment to arrest the villain and not fall off the tall building, his hand just happened to grab onto Heinz’s hand that was also on the edge of the balcony.
There was definitely an awkward moment of silence. Heinz looked surprised by this unexpected appearance. Perry was equally surprised. Mostly that this embarrassing moment that was done by him.
“Oh, um, hello?” Heinz started to say.
Perry quickly let go of Heinz’s hand nearly slipping off but he quickly maneuvered his way onto the balcony. Of course, now he wasn’t sure what to do.
He just made this first encounter awkward. He felt it would be just rude to hit him just like that even though he heard him clearly trying to plot something evil. This why they say to wait for orders from OWCA.
Perry was frozen in place contemplating what to do next until Heinz broke the silence again.
“Are you... Are you that one I spotted by the mailbox earlier today? Close to where I was taking my photograph for the villain profile?”
Perry looked up at Heinz. Would it be so bad to answer that? It was quite obvious now that he was Heinz’s nemesis after all.
Perry nodded.
“I knew it!” Heinz said cheerfully. “That must mean you are my nemesis, right?”
Perry nodded again.
“Wow, so your my nemesis? Wait, isn’t your organization suppose to send me notification of your details like your name and what exactly are you?”
Perry wanted to answer that OWCA did send emails about that but that was for more permanent agent versus villain assignments. Perry has always been known to complete his assignments quickly. A long assignment was a rarity to him.
“Oh, guessing couldn’t wait to see what kind of villain I am, huh? Well, regardless of me just standing here underneath the night sky contemplating my life choices, I am very evil. You just caught me off guard. Especially with that whole unexpected hand holding.”
Perry started to feel the embarrassment coming again.
“What were you trying to do anyway? Grab my hand and throw me off the building? That’s pretty dark of you.”
Perry shook his head immediately. He couldn’t imagine doing that to anyone, not even a villain.
“No? Than what...” Suddenly Heinz seemed to have figured it out. It was just an accident. An embarrassing one.
Perry looked away. He could feel his face burning with embarrassment. Thank goodness his fur hide the redness on his cheek.
But it seemed Heinz could still notice Perry’s embarrassment. “Oh I’m guessing this isn’t how you picture today going?” He rubbed his arm and looked away from Perry. “First days, am I right?”
Perry looked at Heinz and was quite surprised. Was Heinz trying to comfort him? But why? He was just about to fight him and send him to jail. And if not today, he would have to eventually someday. After all, Heinz was his enemy now.
Heinz smiled a little. “Hey. Why not forgot this whole first day and just start over tomorrow? By than your organization should have given me something about you and I probably would have a better idea for an evil inator. One that will really impress everyone. Even you!” He said cheerfully.
For a moment, Perry thought Heinz’s hopeful expression was cute, like when his boys would get an idea for building something exciting.
Perry smiled. He really appreciated that Heinz was being understanding of this situation. And quite surprised since none of his enemies would do that for him but than again why would they?
Perry nodded in agreement with Heinz’s idea. He got up to the edge of the balcony and was about to jump off ready to activate his parachute when Heinz shouted for him to stop.
“Hey, no need to do that. I have an elevator you know?”
Perry looked back. Was he offering him a safer way back down? Another first and unusual thing done by an enemy.
Perry looked down the building. His way was quicker but maybe it would be nice to just have a quieter way down than trying hard to fight against the wind current and try and land safely.
Perry got off the balcony. He hesitated a bit but decided to tip his hat as a way to thank Heinz for the offer.
Heinz seemed to understand and smiled. “You’re welcome, new nemesis. Hey, I was actually going to watch a movie to sort of give me inspiration for an inator. I have some popcorn made already. Want to take a break and just watch with me? No good versus evil today. We will save that for tomorrow.”
Tomorrow? Perry realized he would have to come back tomorrow. He didn’t like the sound of working again tomorrow. So maybe, just this once, he could relax this night?
Perry stood there thinking if that would be a good idea at all. Overall, Heinz was a registered villain now and his specific assignment. This could be a bad idea or even a trap.
He looked up at Heinz. Heinz was just smiling. Not evilly. Not even sinisterly. It was more of a welcoming and hopeful smile. Hopeful that Perry would say yes and keep him company. Is wanting company all what Heinz wanted? At least, for right now?
Without even realizing it, Perry nodded yes.
“Excellent!” Heinz said cheerfully. “Hop on the couch, new nemesis, and I’ll hit play right away.”
New nemesis. Perry thought about that word as he was making his way to the couch. Does this mean Heinz is going to be a sort of permanent nemesis for him now?
The comfy couch was great on Perry’s back that he felt actually relaxed. He didn’t want to think of any of that right now. He finally has a chance of a break and he was going to take it and enjoy it.
Later he would report back to OWCA that he hadn’t arrested Heinz Doofenshmirtz. Than maybe an email would be sent. Guess for now Heinz would be his new nemesis. Till tomorrow at least.
As Heinz hit play and hopped on the couch cheerful as ever, Perry smirked. This guy was indeed quite childish so he shouldn’t be too much of a treat.
“Oops almost hit the self destruct button on the remote,” Heinz said as he moved the remote away from him.
Than again...
Perry felt the comfortable couch on his back again and just surged his shoulders.
That is something he would have to deal with tomorrow. For now, he didn’t mind this Heinz Doofenshmirtz.
Not a bad first day for the two of them, he thought as his attention drifted to the movie.
