hands of anger,
dreams filling my head,
chest heavy with heartache,
we both went to bed.

Illuminate my sins upon the shadowed bedside table lit up by lamps which show me that purgatory exists.
Tell me, in a lowered voice, exactly how much higher your hopes were before the switch was flipped,
and the heavens fizzed,
and we found ourselves scrambling in the dark to find one another before we forgot what to be looking for.
Whisper into the night that the sun will rise again, even if I disappear into sunken silence by then.

A well full of wishes. My two cents on your well being. The echo of dreams sinking into frigid time. A memory frozen into the future. A past constantly thawing into thought.
An unclear transparency we chose to gaze into. The opacity of the need to look away. Wrong place, a lack of birthdays,
Wrong time, an inexperienced mind.
Growing discomfort from the chilled soak. The shock which logic broke. Dove into emotion, expecting to drown. Looking for the ocean, and surfacing when you found
concrete ground
and quarters on the floor. Parts of a whole, rust on the soul. Until luck draws,
lands on heads,
We'll leave our tales left on read.
And still, I wish you well.

about asking songbirds to sing.
you do not remember,
realize,
they also long for listening.

your fingers will bend,
your heart aching to break the ice

if Death happened to find me,
trying to hide the pain.

fine,
okay,
but i haven't gotten over it yet-

hurt,
guilt,
that i will always cause and regret.

i couldn't tell you who i was
