there's no experience quite like full body sobbing to Marjorie in a crowd of over 70 thousand people singing along, their flashlights lit up like a sea of stars, while hearing Marjorie's voice after "if I didn't know better, I'd think you were singing to me now" like Miss Taylor you released this a month after my Grandma died and perform this just over a year after my Mom died how do you expect me to emotionally recover from this?

Hi,
I saw your post about 'soon you'll get better'.
I use to say / sing it to my mom all the time and I lost her last month and I don't know...
I'm so so sorry for your loss.
Thank you so much ❤️ And I am so so sorry for yours ❤️‍🩹
Honestly I will say that while it never gets easier, grief eventually gets to a point where memories are sweet and special. I break down way less than I did a year ago. My life feels more meaningful than it did a year ago.
Grief doesn't go away but peace eventually finds it's way in if you make space for it.

I was rewatching the Reputation Stadium Tour thinking about how pretty soon I'm going to experience that live. First time going to a Taylor tour, and to be that close to her? Sometimes I think about what I would even say to Taylor if I ever had the privilege of meeting her, and I genuinely don't know. Would I start with how Lover got me through the hardest parts of my life, and was the first thing I listened to after mom died last year? Would I tell her how she singlehandedly brought together my friend group during the pandemic through the release of evermore? Would I tell her about the story I wrote, inspired by "It's Nice To Have A Friend", "Dress", and "New Years Day" that got me into my dream Creative Writing MFA program? Would I tell her how Lover came out shortly after I met my boyfriend, and how I want to walk down the aisle to it when I marry him? Would I thank her for releasing Red (Taylor's Version) shortly before I turned 22, and graduated college as the class of 22, in 2022? Would I tell her how I used to dance to Reputation in my basement with my brother's friend? Or maybe how growing up, my family and I would all love listening to the Fearless singles we had on our road trip mixtapes. I don't remember a time in my life before Taylor, and with her being just a year younger than my big sister, sometimes I think of her that way. She's like this amazing big sister that has shown up for me and keeps showing up. I can't wait to be in the same stadium as her. To see her walk up on the stage? I'm ...Ready for it. 😌💞

honestly the biggest tragedy in my life is that Soon You'll Get Better went from one of my favorite songs on Lover to a skip.
"Who am I supposed to talk to? What am I supposed to do? If there's no you..."
Still figuring that out.

The Lavender Haze video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze. There is my incredible costar Laith Ashley who I absolutely adored working with. This was the first video I wrote out of the 3 that have been released, and this one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights, like a sultry sleepless 70’s fever dream. Hope you like it 😁
