just saw a take that phillip's last name is not blanc because he refers to benoit as blanc?????? yeah that's what tipped me off because what's a better way to refer to your partner than literally the name you two share together?? (and if blanc was phillip's name first and benoit took it that makes it so much better because phillip can call benoit his last name in front of a client and have that 🥰🥰 feeling while the client is ~unaware~)

aint nobody reading all that i know, i just had to get it off my chest

i have been scouring ao3 every day (twice a day) since i watched glass onion! looking for one thing and one thing only!! the boys gentlemen managed to even get their own official ship tag in the meantime (congrats!) and yet i have not been able to find the thing that will cure all my cuts and bruises.

a fic (what a surprise). outsider pov on philloit (my beloveds), the outsider being phillip's intern, freshly graduated law school and landed a job as an associate under mr phillip blanc!! (who has just been promoted to the position of senior partner) (good for them both, congratulations on the employment)

they're a big fan of benoit thegreatestdetectiveintheworld blanc and phillip is like a legend of the field to them too but they have not connected the dots between the one blanc name and the other (funny coincidences happen like that)

reflecting back on it (once they have realized or been made aware of the situation (situation being the power couple being married)) there seems to have been hints here and there, they've always discarded them, or been too oblivious/busy/focused on an assignment to notice them in the first place

at some point they meet benoit, realize (think) their boss is friends with thegreatestdetectiveintheworld, have an appropriate and regular sized freak out about it while they wonder whether it'd be unprofessional to ask for an autograph

in conclusion: some wholesome funny pleasant scenes in outsider pov with a relationship reveal at the end (which suddenly clicks and it all makes sense)

brownie points if the outsider is non-binary🫣
