i’ve seen a lot of people say that for knives out 3, they’d want phillip to be included in whatever murder mystery it is. the idea of benoit and phillip being a crime solving duo is appealing, but in my mind phillip would be a hilarious damsel in distress sorta guy who is just constantly clinging onto benoit and yelling “WHAT IS GOING ON” every so often. but benoit never teases him and is always super proud and encouraging whenever phillip does anything coherent, and if anyone else there is like “wtf is he doing” benoit would be like “DON’T BE MEAN TO MUH HUSBAND HE’S DOIN HIS BEST”

I would just like to say I appreciate media taking on the whole ‘old gay’ thing because, yes, representation of queer youth is important but we often forget that there are also queer people older than the age of 25. With the recent movies/shows (OFMD, Good Omens, The Last of Us, Knives out, Glass onion etc.) there’s been a lot of rep for older queer people and I think that’s just swell :)

The fact that Benoit Blanc's fame in Knives Out universe is just so well-known to the point Google defining him as the greatest detective and Miles recognizing him right on just confirms Benoit must have WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE WANTING HIM DEAD, and also implies that at some point in their romcom love story, Philip might have or might have not been one of those who tried to either stop Benoit from solving a case by being paid to kill him or something, which could also mean Philip has almost the same skill sets as James Bond but never as brilliant as Benoit to NOT ONLY SOLVE A MYSTERY but also managed to prevent this future husband of his from endangering lives (including himself)
