You watched as they killed him. He reached out for you but you just stood there. Watching with tears in your eyes.

The few that survived decided it was better if you left. They didn't want to to take the chance of you turning too.

'Being alone isn't so bad' you lied to yourself. It was torture, you took your emotions out on every demon you saw. Weather it be anger, sadness, jealousy, it didn't matter.

You were escorted by a kokushi to be put on trail for your life.

"Are you sure it's a demon. It can stay in the sun without consequence." A slayer sitting high in a tree with a snake said as you arrived with the kokushi.

"Yes sir, he can regenerate and doesn't die from normal attacks on him." The kokushi bowed to them. "But his-" they weren't able to finish as you were grabbed away very roughly by the wind hashira.

He held you by your hair and put his sword to your throat.

"Let's see it.” 

“WAIT DON’T-” You screamed as he cut your head off. They all watch as your head disintegrates and your body falls lifeless. 

After a few minutes your body starts to regenerate, excruciating sounds similar to screaming can be heard for miles as your blood demon art activates. 

The first to be affected by it was Mitsuri and Tengen, they both cover their ears in pain, soon the rest follows. The pain was similar to getting your head ripped off nerve by nerve.

The sound doesn’t effect Kyojuro as much as the other seeing as he busted his eardrums but even with busted eardrums he felt the pain.

when your head was fully regenerated the sound stopped and you panted with your head down in exhaustion. Looking up from the ground you see the hashira with their hand still covering their ears. You didn’t even notice Kagaya and his children sit on the engawa completely unbothered by what happened.

“My children what has happened.” He said. 

'It didn't effect them?' you thought to yourself.

“I’m sorry sir I tried to warn master sanemi about Y/n’s blood demon art." The kokushi bowed many times to master kagaya.

"It's fine, I hope everyone wasn't hurt to badly." He replied looking up at the hashira gripping their head except for Kyojuro.

"WE ARE FINE MASTER." He said enthusiastically making the other groan.

"Please don't yell Kyo, if you couldn't tell the rest of us are in pain." Tengen groaned. Kyojuro chuckled while patting his back over mitsuri's head.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to cause any trouble." The kokushi helped you up while you talked.

"You didn't. Sanemi is a wild card, you couldn't have known what he was going to do. Now to the problem at hand. What are we going to do with Y/n." He said with his usual smile even though it's a grim topic. "Y/n what is your story."

"I lived in a village until it was attacked by demons. The villager thought it was my fault and kicked me out. I've killed every demon I've come across, I'll never kill or eat humans. My father taught me my morals." You said looking kagaya in the eye.

"Seeing as one demon is among us with no problem I don't see why we can't accept another, especially one who doesn't seem to want to hurt us!" Rengoku exclaimed not as loud this time but still loud enough to make tengen shudder. By now tengen was the only one still in pain.

"A demon is a demon soon enough it will have to eat, who knows who it'll kill." The snake hashira said. You hated the way he refered to you as it instead of a person.

"Well we've seen a demon who is capable of protecting others, I just want to keep a close eye on him." Shinobu said. After she said that it was a moment of pregnant silence before someone decided to speak again.

"I'll vouch for him. I believe we could learn from him. He's half human after all." Shinobu said with a raised hand. Everyone was shocked. "He stayed at the butterfly estate for 2 weeks and hasn't shown any signs of demon tendencies. In fact he was been a wonderful guest." She said smiling to you.

"Well then does any one object to shinobu monitoring Y/n." Nobody said anything. "Hmm, Y/n will be under the watchful of shinobu."

You life is now in shinobu's hands.

A village had been plaqued with a demon for over 2 years. Just walking around the place was depressing. Especially because it was your home village.

In the village there was an orphanage. 2 adults and 25 children, before the demon but now it's no adults and 7 children.

Most of the kids are under 5. It made you cry seeing your village in the state it was in.

You and kyojuro decided to stay in the orphanage to watch over the children

You couldn't sleep so you decided to walk a walk.

On your walk you couldn't stop the years from flowing. The village you grew up, that was once bursting with life and beauty, was now a land soiled with touch of a demon.

Can I (please) request how the hashiras would react to a Shy Reader? But it's not the "UwU super cute!" Kind of shy, it's more of a "omfg are u a phscycopath?".

What I mean by this is that you never verbally talk to them, you usually watch them from a far (they usually sense that somebody is watching them so they always look up into the trees to see you there, just observing them). Whenever you are caught by one of them, they usually just wave at you and you just nod back dismissively.

Did I mention the fact that you absolutely hate too much noise? You hate it so much that you'll even become aggressive over it. What I mean by even becoming "aggressive" is that if you think that it's too loud, you'll usually send them a death glare that is enough to shut them up. But if you continue having to do so, you'll just end up punching them, square in the face (hard enough so they pass out lol).

And you also take out all your anger on killing demons, so you're much less likely to actually punch them.

Rengoku is incredibly dense

He had broken a family heirloom

as punishment you decided to ignore him

you got senjuro to ignore him too

“Y/N”, “HELLO, Y/N” He said in vain as you read a book from your shelf. Although you couldn’t focus on the book because of Rengoku’s constant talking you so you stopped reading and moved to helping senjuro clean the house.

"Hey Sen, I can take it from here. You work to hard, take a break." You say taking the broom from him.

"Ah thank you Y/n-san." He walked past Rengoku without saying a thing.

Rengoku genuinely thought he was dead.

Tengen

You and tengen always get into fights and you wanted to see what would happen when a fight was starting and you decided to ignore him

You act like he’s a ghost

his wives watch as he annoys you trying to get some sort of reaction

They watch as he pokes you, yells in you ear, and plays with your hair until you gave up 

“Will you stop!” You shouted at him. 

“Ah so you can hear me, you were just being annoying.” He starts walking away with his arms behind his head.

“HOW WAS I BEING ANNOYING. YOUR THE ONE WHO WOULD STOP PESTERING ME.” You wanted to through something at him but seeing as their was nothing to throw you stood there yelling.

“SAYS THE ONE THAT WAS IGNORING ME.”

“THAT DOESN’T EVEN MAKE SENSE.”

Makio, Hina and Suma stared as the two of you went back and forth for what seemed like hours

he hates it

has snake bite you while he slaps your back (cause he couldn’t reach you head) and tells you how stupid it was to try and prank him

sanemi

You ignored him because he curse out genya

at first he though you were joking 

but when you made ohagi and ate it like he wasn’t there he knew you were serious

constantly pushing you around in hopes of getting your recognition 

muichirou

He ignores you back

turns into you trying to get him to talk

“Mui, I’m sorry it was meant to be a joke.” You say following him and his crow as he takes a walk in the forget.

“Mui.... Mui, please talk to me.” His crow get annoyed with you and starts pecking you to leave muichirou alone. Muichirou turned around at the sound of you struggling and grabbed her (the crow is a girl and love mui in the manga).

“What was I doing again... Oh right, ignoring you.”

“Mui wait.”

Giyuu

he is super hurt

follows you everywhere hoping you’ll look at him

goes to your house 

“y/n are you alright.” No response.

“Y/n?” he says quieter this time. You wanted to talk to him so you decided to stop.

When you turned around to talk however he was already gone

Shinobu

how dare you

you go around doing your tasks but when the task involve her you don’t do them

at first she thought you were just being lazy

but when this went on for another day she tried to scold you but you just walked away

she was extremely offended 

Mitsuri

cries

you had to stop really fast

she thought you hated her

you couldn’t have her thinking that so you said it was a prank

she got over it really quick and hugged you untill  passed out.

“You don’t hate me.” he sniffles.

“Of course I don’t how could I hate my own daughter.” You say while comforting her by patting her head.

“Y/N.” She exclaims pulling you into a hug.

Is a bit disgusted by you sickened face

helps you b/c of all the times you helped him

Knows exactly what to do 

gets you medicine 

puts fresh towels on your head every once and a while 

“Looks like you haven’t taking care of yourself, Y/n. you’ll be in my personal care until you get better” She said.

Tengen

hates the fact that your sick

I feel like he doesn’t like sick people because it not flamboyant

his wives tell him to go away cause he’s not helping 

in fact he’s making your mood worse by saying how “unflamboyant you are by being sick” 

“Please don’t get to close. I’d rather die than be sick.”

“Tengen-sama go away. Y/n-san needs to rest” Makio, Suma and Hina pushed tengen out of your room, leaving you in peace.

Mitsuri

Poor mitsuri, she doesn't know her own strength. She was so excited to see you after a long mission. All she wanted was a hug.

"OTOUSAN!" she screeched as she came barreling into your shop. Hearing her voice, and seeing a glimpse of her pink hair running past the counter to get to the kitchen, you wipe your hands on your apron.

Once she made it to the kitchen door, you had your arms open wide as she crashed into your chest. It was really wholesome.

"I missed you so. So. Much." She squeezed tighter with every word. You missed her tight hugs, probably a little more than you originally thought cause you didn't try to pull away. (All I can imagine is when aang gets hit by azula in the back)

*CRACK*

Mitsuri loosened her grin on you as went limp in her arms, it hurt to move. She was quick to take you to shinobu.

Shinobu was holding back a laugh as she told you you had broken your back.

Mitsuri was crying as she was told, she wanted to hug you but she was scared she would hurt you again.

Obanai

Obanai and Mitsuri were about to have a day out. You being the supportive father figure you went to give him a small pep talk.

"Hey Obanai-" you snuck on him and placed a hand on your shoulder. Him having quick reflexes, jabbed you in your ribs.

2 ribs broke, 1 unfortunately punchered your lung.

You fell to the ground while clutching your chest as the blood filled your lung.

"Y/n-san?... Oh no." Kaburamaru dropped from Obama's shoulder as said pillar watched you choke on blood.

There wasn't much time and he knew that. He ran as fast as he could to get shinobu but he wasn't fast enough.

By the time he got to shinobu you were breathing your last.

"Kaburamaru watch out for obanai for me. I love him like a son and want no harm to come to him although his job is less than friendly. Make sure he lives his days to the fullest."

The snake curled into a ball as he listened to your words

"AND HOW HAVE YOU BEEN Y/N" Rengoku shouted when he saw you from a distance at the market place.

"I have been well and it seems it's been well for you as well. I was just heading home to make dinner if you want to help me."

"I'D BE DELIGHTED."

You had decided to make sweet potatoes for rengoku and for yourself you made (favorite fried food).

Rengoku was already eating and you were just about to put your in the grease.

"THIS IS DELICIOUS THANK YOU Y/N!” Rengoku said a little to loud to be inside causing you to jump and bump into the boiling pot of grease, spilling it on your hand.

“fuck” you muttered. Rengoku was checking on you in a second, saying sorry, asking if you needed help wrapping your hand. Most importantly he learned how to use his inside voice from then on.

Tengen

I cant see him hurting you unless it's with words😭

Sanemi

You were used to sanemi and genya arguing in fact you even learned to stop trying to get in between them cause it only makes it worse.

Today, however you had to step in because it was getting physical. Genya, the poor boy, just got punched on his ass and if it weren't for you it would've been worse.

"Sanemi I think that enough." You tried to pull the male back by his arm buy your strength had no effect of him as he continued perusing a fleeing genya.

He went to hit him again but failed to realize you were on his arm and swung you right to a wall.

You woke up in the butterfly estate with genya and sanemi on each side of you.

"I'm glad your awake. Sorry for what happened it's not gonna happen again, I promise." Genya spoke first helping you sit up while handing you a glass of water.

Sanemi on the other hand had his arms crossed and looked away from you, he couldn't even look you in the eye.

"Wh-what happened?" You questioned.

"Seems you have a little but of amnesia considering the hit you took I'm not surprised." She shinobu appeared behind genya with a tray of food.

"Eat up you've been out for a few days you'll need your energy back."

The rest of the day was spent with you and your boys in the infimary

Giyuu

It was a summer day that he lost you an ad it was a day that hell never forget.

You were watching giyuu train, giving him tips and tricks. It was always nice to be in your company, so nice and comfortable.

The both of you went to a bamboo field.

"Slice as many as you can with one swing if you think you can only slice the ones in front of you, you are wrong your range if farther than you think it is." You said back up to give him some room.

First swing: 5 bamboo shoots cut

Second swing: 8 bamboo shoots cut

Third swing: none

He barely even noticed his sword leave his hands. Good thing you were a retired hashira, you were able to move out of the way almost home free.

You had been cut half was through your stomach, maybe if you didn't move, maybe if you weren't with him today, maybe if he watched out for his surroundings.... You would've survived

Shinobu

You and shinobu had been working on an antibiotic for a new virus effecting people going into their 30s.

Although you weren't 30 yet you were close and had the virus. A perfect opportunity to test it out.

"I can handle the rest from hear." shinobu said. Since you were the one being experimented on she didn't want you to lift a finger.

The vaccine was a simple shot (with side effects of course).

When the time came to take the shot Shinobu was ready for every side effect that might pop up. It started off as simple arm pain which grew into a low grade fever.

“How are you feeling now.” She asked changing the wet cloth of your head.

“The same as before.” you mumbled. The truth was that you felt like shit, Shinobu knew you were lying but there was nothing to give you other than pain killers. She was worried that the small virus had become pan-resistant (basically nothing has an effect of it). 

It had.

Day by day you were getting worse. It was the last time Shinobu would check up on you for the day.

“I’ll be going in for the night. Shout if you need anything.” 

You in fact did not shout, you couldn’t even move. No pain. No warmth. Just gone.

Died in your sleep. Shinobu took the blame for your death. Poor girl beat herself up about it everyday.

Muichirou

Being fast isn't always a good thing. Sure it can get the job done faster but being fast makes your reaction time slower. A bunch of mistakes are bound to be made eventually.

A demon had made it was into your house with muichirou quick on its tail. Hearing the commotion coming from your engawa you went to investigate.

In a fraction of a second you we're dragged from your spot to form a shield from the mist pillars blade.

Straight through your neck. You had been beheaded.

There was a saying that when you were beheaded you were still conscious.

You never believed it until now, as you watched muichirou quickly finish the demon then turn to your head looking you in the eyes as you died.

Watching the life leave from your eyes is a sight he will never forget... No matter how much he wants to.
