Minimalist CC Icon (CC Wrench Replacement Mod)
I made this for personal use, but @deelishsimmer98 asked if I could share it, so here it is! It replaces the blue wrench banner on CC thumbnails in CAS and build mode to a more easy-on-the-eyes white “cc” text icon (or white dot for custom swatches).

Hey, folks…
So, a heads up that I might not be able to reliably update my CC for the foreseeable future.
My ME/CFS continues to be bad, and I've been focusing a lot of my efforts away from being Terminally Online™ and instead being more present in real life, conserving my energy for things that tangibly bring me joy in the real world.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It's an on-going process! 😅
So, this means that some of my CC that has been waiting to be updated, such as some of my eyes for the infant update and a proper update to my default skin, or bug-fixes of problems with my heterochromia files, etc., might not be coming, or at least may not be coming for a long time.
I apologise so much for falling down on my duties to y'all. …😞 But if there's anyone out there who would like to take the files and update them yourself and share them, understand you have my full support! <3 (Also, get in touch if you need anything I might have that might make your life easier for that, like .PSDs or other files.)
As my T.O.U. states, you're more than welcome to riff on my work and make your own things using my assets, just so long as you don't monetize them and you give me a little bit of credit for it/don't claim it as 100% your own work. <3 ^^ (Of course, the original creator's T.O.U. applies for anything I've modified, like Aveira's eye textures.)
I'll probably still be keeping my Minimalist CC Icon Mod up-to-date because I can't play my game without it, but do forgive me if I'm a little slow on updating it in the future. And I'll still be posting gameplay occasionally, because I still love playing the game and sharing my screenies with you brings me a lot of joy. 🥰

Hey folks!
Sorry for disappearing again there. I don't know how much you can expect me to be around from now on, so please feel free to update my mods (such as my eye sets) to make them work if I'm not around to do so. <3
As of today, Oct. 31, 2023, I've completely updated my game to the newest patch and re-installed my mods from scratch, and so far my Minimalist CC Icon Mod is working just fine for me!
If it's not working for you:
Go to the original download post and re-download the newest version (v1.98), then delete and replace the one in your mods folder with the new one.
Start your game and make sure Mods are enabled in your options.
If you're using the Curseforge version, it should be up to date.
If it's still not working, let me know, with as much info as you can! Such as what update you're playing on, and which version of the mod you're using (don't just assume, please check which version you have in your mods folder!). I could try to remake it, but if it's still working for me, I don't know if that would make a difference. ^^;

Big update!!
Blind and two Heterchromia options now available as non-default add-ons, and some very slight edits to the base texture on the default swatches.
Please re-download if you already have it, and take a look at the heterochromia and blind swatches if you'd like those too. :)

PEquichor Eyes — Default Eye Replacements for Horses
I think I'm starting to get a wee bit complicated with these names… X)
I think I found a happy medium for these, so I'm releasing them! Designed to match with my other eye defaults, Petrichor Eyes (for sims) and PETSrichor Eyes (for cats & dogs). I feel like I did a good job threading the line between the Maxis-Match cartoony aesthetic while still keeping them reasonably horse-like? Ultimately it's up to you, though! I hope you enjoy them. 🥰

Heterochromia Add On: Adds on 18 new swatches, with either the light blue swatch or the light grey swatch as the heterochromia eye. You can download both if you want both the blue and the grey option, or one if you don't want both.
Blind Add On: Adds 19 new swatches, one with both eyes blind, the rest with one eye blind paired with each default colour swatch, either left eye or right eye.
Keep scrolling to see all the different swatches in-game without Reshade/Gshade or editing:

Hello! Hope you're doing well today :) Just wanted to send an ask since I didn't see any about this: The SFS links for your Nightvision and Submerged eye edits might be broken (663526536880717824)! They both lead to blank hrefli pages, and refreshing and opening in other tabs/windows does not change it. I'm not sure if this is an issue on my end or SFS, so I figured sending an ask wouldn't hurt. Thank you so much for your beautiful eye edits!! <3

Looks like it might be the href.li thing rearing it's head. Sometimes the referral link bugs out and doesn't actually send you to the page it's meant to. Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure this is a Tumblr thing; Tumblr will automatically add href.li URLs to any links off site, so it's not something the poster has control over.
Sometimes, though, the href.li links bug out and ruin the URL. It changes characters in links such as forward slashes to "%2F", and colons to "%3A". When it bugs out like this, it will turn an otherwise fine URL to gobbledegook that isn't read properly in the address bar.
[WARNING: Please DON'T click any URLs in indents/boxes in this post! They're meant to be examples only, and were made up on the spot; I have no idea where they actually lead. Take care!]
It can change this:
http://foo.com/
to this:
http%3A%2F%2Ffoo.com%2F
This is called "URI Escaping". (Thanks to my programmer SO for the term!)
Unfortunately, the only way I've found to fix this is to manually fix the URL that is broken when I'm referred to it.
So href.li might send you to this:
https://href.li/?http%3a%2F%2Fthelink.com%2Fsimsdownload.html%3Futm_trackingbullshit%3Dclipboard_copy
And it won't work. So you have to manually change those URL escape characters to proper slashes, colons, question marks, etc. and remove the "https://href.li/?" prefix to get a working link:
http://thelink.com/simsdownload.html?utm_trackingbullshit=clipboard_copy
And then follow that.
Here's an example of some common URL escape characters and what they correspond to:

So, yeah, unfortunately when the href.li referral bugs out, it has nothing to do with the person that posted the link. ^^; It bugs out most for me with Patreon links, but it's happened with many others too.
The only thing that would make it easier for most people, I think, is posting the full URL in the body of the post, so people can easily copy and paste it without it being altered by Tumblr's href.li shenanigans, but this is a very messy and annoying solution for something that shouldn't be an issue in the first place. 🙄
So in that vein, here are the raw links to the SFS files for the eyes:

Copy and paste those URLs and place them in your address bar to get clean addresses that won't be messed up by href.li.
I'm not an expert, but I have some experience with being online since the early aughts, and URLs have a structure that can sometimes be read like a book. Knowing how they're put together can make it easier to figure out what went wrong when links don't work, and help protect you from phishing and scam links. ^^
This looks like a useful primer for anyone who wants to learn more about URLs!
I have no idea why Tumblr links are run through href.li, by the way. I just know that it messes up sometimes.

I couldn't help myself… Azure ended up rescuing another horse, a beautiful palomino stallion named Mayo Neighs. Moon Pie was not happy to have another horse to steal her thunder. Then some shots of the horse paddock, the cow/llama barn, and Azure's little house and garden. Despite having a pretty good relationship with the llama, Azure still struggles to get over its stubbornness when it gets to shearing time. Moon Pie may be mean to everyone else, but they love Azure dearly.

I wanted to play some Rags2Riches-style Ranch gameplay, but didn't feel like spending an hour or more making a new Sim, so I decided to go with a slightly edited version of Azure Keahi, who I originally made for the Jumping for Juniper Bachelorette Challenge. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Consider this an alternate universe!
Here's their new farm, optimistically named "Azure Dreams Ranch". A bit of flirting with their new neighbour Dani. They got a scarecrow to help them out with the garden, but Patchy turned out to be super mean, so I yeeted him. :\ Soon they were able to afford their first goat (appropriately named Goatzilla), and their first rescue horse, a fearful, aggressive, but intelligent Gelderlander filly named Moon Pie. :)

Hello! I just wanted to ask if you’ll ever update your cc wrench icon mod? It’s my favorite one, but it’s been glitching out my UI really badly after the last couple updates. Thanks so much for answering! Hope you have a lovely day.
Hiya! If you check my blog, you'll notice I've answered a few questions about this already. ^^
I'm playing on the latest patch with all the EPs, and the 1.98 version (the latest version as of writing) is working just fine for me, and doesn't need updating for the newest patch (1.99). (I tried updating it, but all the resources I edit are exactly the same as previously, so even if I made an updated file it would be exactly the same as the current one).
If you're having problems, here's what I'd suggest:
Take a look and make sure you have the latest version of the package file downloaded (it should say 1.98 at the end). If you have an earlier version, delete it and replace it with the newest one. (You can only have one version in your mods folder at a time.)
If you already have the newest version in your mods folder, try downloading it again and replacing your current version with the one you just downloaded. It's possible that updating the game might have corrupted the file somehow.
If it's *still* not working, I honestly have no idea what to suggest. :( You could try a different CC Wrench mod that's confirmed working, like ClaudiaSharon's here. Also make sure other mods you might have that edit the UI are updated and cleared for this patch. The usual offenders for breaking the UI are TwistedMexi's Better Build/Buy and Weerbesu's More Columns in CAS.

So here are my WIP horse eye defaults. Very similar to my quick versions, using the same textures, but I darkened them up and tried to make them a little less omg cartoony bright.
Also did some manual rotating of the pupils and maneuvering of the catchlights to compensate for the optical weirdness that makes them look a little offset or wonky.
I'm thinking the pupil definition gets a little lost, I'd like to make it look more flat and ovoid, more equine, but I'm not sure. Maybe this is fine? 🤔
Anyway… what do you think? Here are my old ones for comparison:

I tried making a pinto/paint bi-colour mane/tail/forelock overlay last night. My idea was to take the white swatch and mask parts of it, so the colour of the mane would come from through the white; so you could choose a brown mane, for example, and then put the white overlay on top, to make a parti-coloured mane perfect for pintos/appaloosas/etc.
But I couldn't figure out how to make it actually overlay the mane/tail/forelock meshes. :\ And I have very few spoons and I think it would take too much time/effort to make it look great anyway, so I thought I'd pass this idea onto someone else who might be able to figure it out. 😅
I was going to put the overlay in the "hat(horse)" category, but again, couldn't suss out the sort layers to make it work.
So many thanks to everyone making horse CC! I appreciate you all so much!
OH I also futzed around with making some better eye defaults last night, but again I'm not sure how I feel about them. :\ I'll post some pics soon and get all y'all's opinions. <3
