at this point i THINK i was doing shit with their backstory and how they were adopted by zac and oliver purely because of their autism and came out to them after they gained both their trust. but yeah. changes were made.

then i was like "okay. their hair doesn't really look good. let's make it look more natural" and was blessed by the gods

so whenever i was working on rtr (rebs the robot, 2015) (oc story) i always drew rebs (oc) with a different hairstyle bc i never figured out what looked right on her. eventually i figured it out but this bitch had like 20 different hairstyles throughout the original art run and i only figured it out in like 2017. eventually it happened but there was a lot of trial and error.

basically mental illnesses and stuff (+trauma mentions)

theresa fisher (main parent) had schizophrenia and maybe one or two other things but she's dead now (a good thing)

zac was theresa's main target so he's especially fucked up. on top of schizophrenia he has depression, did, hypersexuality (has been through therapy for it and has a healthy relationship with sex now), and npd (which i need to do more research on... if i can find anything other than "narcissistic abuse", like fuck off i need facts, not fiction). also body image issues (has physical scars (trauma related) + gynecomastia)

morgan is zac's twin sister; she also has schizophrenia (it's mean to her) and ocd. nothing else has really stuck to her but she's emotionally stunted. theresa didn't really give a shit about her, just zac, so there's the self esteem issues from that

they also have an older sister named kerry but she was from and lived with theresa and her ex husband and came out neurotypical somehow

i actually drew a ref of the kids a while ago, it's a little outdated (finished during one of the bad stories) but it's basically just marie that's outdated (transitioned)

in order: trixie, jack, pink, marie

trixie's mom had custody of trixie bc at the time zac wasn't fit to be a parent. trixie has minor psychosis from time to time but otherwise she's "normal". her mom was strict but loving, when she died trixie moved in with zac and oliver (and jack) and hates zac for abandoning her and having a kid after abandoning her

jack has schizophrenia (bipolar flavor) and itfd but idk if he has anything else. doesn't really feel like he would tbh

pink. he's the mentally ill oc ever. i've never really thought about him at all outside of vent art so like. i have nothing. i mean i didn't really list depression for anyone but he has the major depression. but that's all i got boss 🫡

marie has trauma from the foster system but they're normal otherwise. and autistic (level 3)

either i never talked about itfd or tumblr's search is broken. probably both, at least one for sure. anyways.

intermittent thoughts/feelings disorder (itfd) is often* a result of being a main character/generation holder (pretty much the same thing but mc's arent always gh's) but in-universe it's a whole thing that i honestly haven't really expanded yet but basically itfd = fourth wall awareness. a large majority of my ocs are regular people living regular lives but ocs with itfd know they're not real and can hear me and any audience that talks about them and they're either at peace with or fucked up from it.

* not all mc's have it either, morgan and sass don't.

the intermittent part comes from ocs becoming blorbos and then i focus on new/different oc blorbos. whoever i'm focused on the most at the time has it until i step away, then they don't feel it anymore. in cases with oliver where they're so interwoven with the essence of the story they always have it. plus other random occurences because those have to happen to make it a "thing" in-universe. like lightning. pew pew bitches

lux and hank have it at some point, oliver and zac have it forever. dæmien has it but with satan but that's different. same concept.

it's different from schizophrenia. you can trust a guy with schizophrenia can't you

did i even mention the breakouts. because those are entirely linked to the years

so like there's been like 3 major breakouts (experiments going rogue and escaping into the city):

the first was about an animal companion jumping all over a dashboard that controlled a bunch of doors and let a couple experiments escape. nothing bad happened as a result but it kinda ruined some stuff that the people in charge were working on. one of them being animal companions

the second was about morgan/279, who killed several scientists and let numerous other experiments escape, which happened in 3958 (not changing this). this destroyed that one hallway that held a shitton of experiments (and made this hallway public knowledge) so they had to move

the third is about rebs, who stunned some people on her way out but did fuck all in comparison to the other two. not major at all but it's the most recent one so it's all over the news

and the other thing i'm not changing is the sibling's act of 3978. didn't write down anything about it in the doc but i looked back on my gross old writing and it's basically a law that keeps the government from keeping experimented on people after the experiment is over. a bunch of people, mainly people with siblings that were still being held onto, really pushed for this to pass. and it did! it's what let oliver come home and lets morgan have a normal life again. i feel like it had passed recently in the story, like maybe a couple months or a year at most

sorting through my 31 page story note google doc and i've realized that like. rtr was a total enigma year wise

every major before story event happens around 3958

another major thing happens in 3978

by specifically amber's age by the time the thing in 3978 happens it'd actually be 3975

3950 came from a completely different doc and is supposed to be present day

all of these were from different rewrites so it's understandable but like. come on division.

i thought-wrote most of this on the spot. updated xyn birth defects

there are some xyn with white or non skin tone color bodies, either fully or partially

there are xyn with limbs that match their body color, made out of skin

there are xyn with bodies that are made of char (tentative limb material name) (kinda hard but flexible like garden hoses)

there aren't xyn with black flesh bodies because it defaults to char. like it is a possible thing that can happen but those ones don't live long

there are xyn with no or extra cheek circles

there are fullbloods that can't shapeshift

there are xyn that can't reproduce

not really a birth defect but there are xyn with chronic energy issues (can't hold a form for long, like 3 days at most without actually dying) (sass has this)

also i realized halfbloods aren't born with birth defects it's just. Natural. those bodies happen naturally.
