Oh yeah, I forgot to update this blog with the news that I sold out my entire stock at the art sale! I have a small batch of sculptures going through the kilns now and plan to drop them online all at once sometime in late May, but yeah, I sold like. forty sculptures there

#college students in Iowa really like Little Guys it seems!! #shop update #not ceramics #it was INSANE it was SO cool to help run the show #people would come by the tables look happily at the teapots and bowls and stuff and then do a delighted double-take at the sculptures #and not gonna lie that made my entire year worth it #people would boop them on the nose in passing..... precious........ #I'm sad I didn't get to see most of them sell tho :') about thirty of them (the best ones in my opinion) sold within the first three hours #and I wasn't there yet to see them go... I don't know who bought my favorites... ah well!! It was still wonderful :3

New finds, new finds! Went on a road trip today to buy some new cool pottery for my display!

Here's all the pieces I bought! I think everything but the green pot is @robinsceramics ? (Sorry if I guessed wrong, I assumed based on the tags from the little figurines and the fact that the wolf and two cups all have the same little kitty face makers mark!)

This Sunday, I'm going to close the ko-fi shop until May 7!

The hiatus might be a little longer or shorter than that—we'll see. I'm low on stock right now, and I'm going to sell a lot of my sculptures at an art sale at my university. So I'll re-evaluate what I have and put everything left online (possibly with some new sculptures, depending on how the sale goes) after the sale and semester are over.

#shop update #not ceramics #having a ceramics shop with only one maker is weird because I get my pieces fired in huge batches with long waits in between #because it takes a long time to fill a kiln enough to fire it #and for a hot minute I'm SO RICH with all these sculptures and pots and things. and I worry that maybe I have too much #and then I sell out and start worrying that I don't have enough lol. such is life in ceramics

You didn't miss anything, don't worry! The owls are currently unsold but out of the shop; they may or may not go into the online shop later.

The thing is, I'm participating in an in-person art sale at my university next week, and whatever I don't sell there will be put in the shop in early May. I'll announce the shop drop ahead of time on this blog!

@mrsjdavis ouch, but yeah, pretty much! I modeled him off of a hobo clown, Weary Willie (as played by Emmett Kelly), a lovable loser character. He's always melancholic. I love him so much <333

TANUKI TEAPOT IN THE WORKS

The magnificent catbeast thrives in snowy conditions; its gorilla-like arms are theorized to help compensate for the weight of its neck.
