being a scene kid is so tiring sometimes with all the exclusionists n whatnot like its crazy. like "ohhhhhh 6arelyhuman and rebzyyx arent REALLY scene!!!!!!!!11!!1" literally who cares!!!! if they want it 2 be scene then its scene fuckers. there are no rules 2 being scene u just hate fun n wanna be an exclusionist. let the culture evolve let it not revolve purely around an idealized version of life 20 years ago!!!!! like omg. "blahhhh new scene music is so bad though" so was old scene music!!!!!!!! thats the fun of it!!!!!! the versions of so many iconic scene anthems u hear now r newer improved versions of old songs!!!!!!!!!! hyperpop is fun sparkledogs r fun all these new things people r adding 2 the culture r FUN and if u dont liek it thats ok!!!!! but dont police other ppl about it cuz its supposed 2 be FUN. THAT is the whole entire point!!!!!!!! maybe i should make peace with the term scenecore. cuz i feel like all the discourse surrounding the term isnt about the homogenization of alternative subculture and how ppl r making it into a marketable shell of its former self anymore its all about policing what other scene kids do 2 make urself look more valid in the eyes of other "real" scene kids. it is so darn tiring 2 see.
