He felt a disconnect when it came to his arms. His control over them was hazy at best. They followed compulsions he knew he shouldn't be doing. It made him feel even more like a monster than he already knew he was. He needed something concrete. Something visual so he could tell himself it wasn't his fault when he did something horrible. He and his arms were two different creatures.

He needed separation.
