I know there’s a lot of tension after Tumblr’s new policy annouced for December 17th, but reblog this if you aren’t leaving Tumblr so that other blogs can know they aren’t going to be completely alone!

The boy stood nervous, determined not to notice as his mother opened the gift left on the table. A beautifully crafted handbag, hand quilted, in a fabric well suited to her taste and complexion. A simple card poked out, wishing her a happy mother's day.
She smiled warmly as she opened the gift. It was really quite perfect, all things considered. He’d probably had some help from Steve to get it just right. She moved over to where he was and kissed the top of his head, gently. “Thank you, Sean~”

Out of Ink:
I know I haven’t been around in a very long while. Things have been rough. We’re still getting some things straightened around. I’m doing things as I have motivation to do them. Today is laundry. And probably a shower at some point.
There are good days and bad days. Most of this winter I’ve been sleeping until noon or later. Partly some kind of hibernation instinct, and partly some similar depression cycle to what I had years ago on the main campus where I just didn’t want to get out of bed at all. It’s not big things that make me want to cry, usually. It’s dumb little things. Grief is not an easy thing to manage. I’m largely okay, and then there are little moments, little things that bring out the flood.
I have decisions I need to make about my own life, and what I want to do. Keeping my brain busy or at least distracted has helped me to deal with things, I think. To that end, I’m going to try and get to replies here soon, and maybe do some revamping on my other/side blogs. So we’ll see how that goes.

——————- As they climbed, the Prince listened with great interest to the words of his guest. All at once, he felt almost young again, wishing and longing to travel to far off galaxies and planets. Only once she was finished speaking did he smile, “ Riding giant birds, hm? I have a feeling brother and his children would demand to see such birds as soon as you tell them of this. They are adventurous you see, and would not give up any opportunity to try something new and dangerous,”
“ But regardless,” They arrived finally to the palace doors, which swung open obediently for them, “ Tell me, my lady; how may I assist you and your people? Your purpose here is still for the moment unclear to me. We are not like the other planets in Westeros; for we have precious little to offer save our artisan crafts and engineering ability,”
“Perhaps it is a good thing that I have mine here?” She chuckled lightly. “I am always glad to show people how to properly ride, and appreciate the birds.” She smiled, and paused, considering his question.
“Trade is a simple matter, and drawing up agreements is easy, if a bit tedious. The greater purpose of my visit is the exchange of knowledge. You have engineering and medical knowledge that we have yet to master, and we have technology for water collection and purification that is likely to be beneficial to your people.” She smiled warmly at the Prince. “Knowledge has no borders or boundaries, and knows no allegiance.”
