i was always worried that support for palestine would dwindle and people would once again lose interest in the death and destruction happening just because it wasn't right outside their door and yet it hasn't lost steam. it feels like more and more is happening everyday especially with the student protests currently going on. palestine will be free because the people demand it, no matter how many protesters are thrown in jail or beaten by cops the second they're able they will be back in the street demanding the end of genocide and the apartheid.

collective action is so incredibly important it can't be stressed enough. please keep an eye on pro palestine voices in your communities to know about events or action going on. votes are being cast in the uk in about a week it's important to know what candidates are advocating for it seriously doesn't take long to look into these things.

i didn't search for any specific pictures bc i already did a moodboard for leila so i just opened up pinterest and challenged myself to relate some pics to leila and i think i did pretty good :)

a day in the life of leila syllah ☆

leila has been adjusting to life here. it’s a struggle but she’s fallen into a routine. luckily she has some leftover waffles that have been in her off-the-grid refrigerator that will suffice for breakfast

and then it's to the gym to take care of her hygiene needs. the gym has a fee but it's only ten simoleons which isn't a lot considering she also has access to workout equipment as well

she then comes back to harvest plants. she’s fallen in love with gardening. a benefit from living outside is being one with nature and she’s been enjoying it.

now it’s time to fish for dinner. leila’s diet consists of quick meals and fish she gets from fishing. it’s not an appetizing diet but she needs to save all the money she can

leila wouldn’t be herself if she didn’t visit the library. while she’s there, she searches for employment. she applies for a job at hooters and at target. she was getting on with her life

for dinner, leila fried the fresh fish she caught and it was really good. she was really proud of herself for learning the ropes quickly when it came to fishing. after eating dinner, to the tent it was as she dreamed about sarai. she's been dreaming a lot lately

the driver was on their way to newcrest. the ride was a long one but leila didn't really mind. newcrest reminded her of home a little bit. she admired the greenery. her heart did summersaults when the driver said san myshuno wasn't far from here. maybe i can hitch a ride and visit ...

being the bookworm that leila is, she asked to be dropped off at a random library along the way. libraries have always given her comfort and by this time, what she has done has began to settle. but standing in front of the library, she refused to think about the past. this was the first day of her new life and she wanted to be deluded in believing everything was going to be fine

after spending the whole day at the library, it was finally time to deal with the abrupt uprooting of her life. she wanted to call sky or sarai but the thought of telling them felt even more draining. she started to wander for a place to sleep for the night ...

it didn’t take long for morning to come. as she came across this junk yard. regret sank in as she accepted that this is where she'd sleep for the time being. sinking into a chair, she let the tears fall. she regretted ever leaving. maybe her mom wasn't even going to kick her out. maybe she was just upset. now she has ruined everything. she had nothing but the little bit of savings she accumulated so far, a mixer and a waffle maker she "stole" from home. exhausted mentally and physically, she fell sound asleep in the tent, dreaming of her childhood.
