she definitely gets closer with more introverted people, bc opposites DO really attract

when you guys first met it was your freshman year at uconn, at first you'd probably think she's WAY too much ─ maybe even cocky LOL (but who can blame her she's the best)

but when you spend more one on one time with her, you realize she's really funny and sweet

because you're so quiet, paige would be naturally drawn to you cus she gets to know you

so she just pesters you until you eventually give in and hang out with her

from that point on, the one is never seen without the other

you guys would always be together

but like... usually, you're just WITH paige so people don't really acknowledge you cus you're so quiet

but then paige would like force you to socialize

she would push you toward her close friends the most, def like ice, azzi, nika and kk

and then you eventually would get really close with them, you all have your cute little friend group

you and ice would make fun of paige and kk together, you and azzi are kinda similar so you find yourself hanging out with her alone a lot more, and nika would force you out your shell a lot too

after a couple months of being friends, paige would definitely find herself catching feels

like i've said in my other headcanons, she just thinks you're such a big source of comfort for her and it slowly just becomes full-on adoration cus

the genocide in gaza has been going on for 6 months and there is rarely a day i don't think about it or post anything on any of my social media accounts.

and i can't believe that none of my friends have shared anything, and i'm upset with how little my siblings and mother have.

i've known about isntreal's violent treatment towards palestinians for years. and even back then i was shocked people didn't give a shit or know about it, which wasn't their fault. western media is bullshit propaganda that purposely does not educate... so i was like "ok i can see how you wouldnt know about this."

but now day after day, we are witnessing this ethnic cleansing, while palestininas are living it and for people to say they "don't know much" about it, or they aren't educated enough or blah blah.

you have 0 excuses. people are protesting all over the world, palestinians are sharing what is going on all over social media. students are setting up encampments, people have blocked ships, disrupted political events, set themselves on fire..

you had 0 excuses at the beginning of this and you have even less excuses now at month 6

i am so sick of people being willfully ignorant and playing dumb, just admit you didn't care at the start of this, and you don't care now. your apathy is disgusting. your indifference is vile.

paige craved those long nights with you and the slow mornings that followed. she never knew that a love so simple would bring so much peace to her chaotic life. she didn’t know what she prayed for or if she even deserved it, but she was thankful for the abundance of joy you brought to her life each day. it was early in the morning, much earlier than you awoke. paige’s mental clock was hard wired for early mornings and late practices but you were slowly teaching her the importance of a balanced sleep schedule, alongside many other things - like the joy of coffee in the morning while in bed as the sun light beamed through your window. to just enjoy the little things in life

she managed to get out of bed and do her morning routine in the guest bathroom without waking you up. she slid a shirt over her head and didn’t bother with pants or fixing her hair. even though there was school work to be done and practice lingering around the corner, she wanted to soak up the lazy saturday morning before she reluctantly had to leave. as much as she craved you, she also craved the basketball in her hand while she ran drills and shot threes. the familiar whoosh of the net each time the ball successful went in. before you, she would have gone straight to the gym with no breakfast in her body, just pure adrenaline and an empty court waiting for her. but instead of her own needs she considered yours. you were just as tired as she was, if not more.

paige became accustomed to mornings with you. she decided that today was a day to let you sleep in. you were on the brink of tears last night over the stress of your internship and she wanted to make the morning easy for you. so, in the quiet kitchen, she hummed as she made breakfast. it was simple - a bagel, eggs, and bacon. the hardest part of it all was not letting your puppies eyes tug on her heart string and give the little guy a piece of bacon.

she was proud of her work and she carefully crept back into the bedroom, using her back to open the door with the little puppy trailing her. he immediately jumped onto the bed and she scolded him quietly as he began licking you in his excitement. you moved around under the covers, mumbling a good morning to the puppy which made him bark. you laughed from underneath the covers as page set the plate down. she held two cups of coffee in her hand with a proud smile on her face. your eyes peaked from underneath the blanket and she held the coffee mug outwards for you to grab.

you came of your cocoon of sorts and grabbed the mug and took a sip that made you loose a breath with a satisfied smile. paige outstretch her hand towards the plate of food on your bedside table as if it was a gourmet meal. it was. because she had made just for you. you mumbled that she didn’t have to do that but she wasted no time in letting you argue and immediately kissed your forehead and telling you good morning.

“thank you, babe.” you said “you didn’t have to do that.”

“i know,” your girlfriend said, “but i wanted to.” which made your heart melt into a puddle. you had never known a love like paige’s - she was the one you dreamed of and the one you assumed was unattainable. yet, there stood your girlfriend with her blonde hair in disarray, the rays of sunshine framing her body as she took a sip of her own coffee.

“look,” she began eagerly, turning towards the plate of food, “i made breakfast. well kinda, everything went in the toaster or in the microwave forreal. but i made breakfast!” she beamed. paige plucked a strip of bacon and took a bite before feeding the rest to you.

“that’s delicious.” you moaned.

“right, i think i got something going here. maybe basketball should be my plan b.”

“let’s not quit our day job just yet, i think the bacon was a bit overcooked.” you laughed, gingerly sitting up onto your knees. she smiled down at you and rolled her eyes.

“thank you for breakfast, baby.” you said and she nodded in return. “and thank you for letting me sleep in” to which she shrugged.

“some lady told be balance is key or something like that, can’t really remember” she joked and you placed the mug down and wrapped your arms around her. she placed her head in the nape of your neck, taking in the scent of your shampoo and she felt herself relax into the hug. she mumbled, “i love you.”

her expression was empathetic as she reached out to gently touch your hand, her eyes searching yours for any sign of discomfort or irritation. "Hey," she said softly, her voice soothing. "I brought you some stuff to make you feel better."

you couldn't help but crack a small smile at her thoughtfulness, despite the lingering ache in your stomach. "what did you get?"

paige reached into one of the bags and pulled out a box of herbal tea and some crackers. "i thought this might help settle your stomach since you swore off ibuprofen," she explained with a teasing smile, setting them on the bedside table within your reach.

"i shouldn't have done that," you laughed before grumbling in pain. "god, i hate being on my period. it sucks."

paige's smile widened at your remark, a empathetic glint in her eyes as she reached out to gently rub your back. "i know, baby," she said, her tone understanding. "but hey, at least we can make it a little more bearable together, right?"

you leaned into her touch, feeling a surge of comfort from her words. "yeah you're right. thanks, p." you murmured, feeling grateful for her presence.

"okay how about..." she began to massage your back as you leaned into her touch more, closing your eyes. "you take a shower and i go get some take-out? taco-bell sound good?"

"is that your way of telling me i stink?" you teased as paige pulled you into her chest, a laugh escaping your lips as she nuzzled against your hair.

"nah, of course not," she said with mock offense, her voice tinged with amusement. "but a nice warm shower might help relax your muscles and ease some of that tension."

you grinned up at her, feeling a surge of affection for her. "taco-bell sounds perfect," you agreed, feeling a little more energized at the thought of indulging in some fast food.

paige leaned in to press a kiss to your temple before gently pulling away. "i'll go grab it while you take a shower, okay?" she said, her voice warm and reassuring. "i'll be back before you're done."

"is that a promise?" you pouted as she rolled her eyes, her heart swelling with affection for you and your damned clinginess (especially on your period).

paige chuckled softly, her eyes filled with affection as she looked at you. "yeah, yeah, it's a promise." she said, leaning in to press another quick kiss to your lips before pulling away with a grin. "i'll be back before you even have time to miss me."

you couldn't help but smile back at her, feeling a rush of warmth at her words. "alright, go get our taco-bell fix,"

with a laugh, paige headed out of the room, leaving you alone with your thoughts and the promise of comfort food on the way.
