I like to imagine Spy judges all the mercs' grilled cheese every once in a while

Scout is always too much or too little of something

Sniper cooks his over fire and sometimes drop them directly inside

Heavy just ends up making a grilled sandwich

Engineer doesn't take off his gloves when he makes them

Soldier, god love him, keeps thinking Spy is asking for rats because he just hears 'Cheese'

Pyro keeps using gasoline to cook it

Medic keeps making his alive for some reason

Demo is obviously perfect <-biased

Yeah yeah, cool. Spydad where they have, or at least start developing a normal father/son dynamic. Whatever. You know what fucking rocks though??? Spydad where Scout fucking refuses to come to terms with the fact that Spy is his dad. Spy still letting Scout get inches from death and leaving him to die. Spy only “saving him” when he absolutely has to, and he still doesn’t go out of his way to do it. Scout being bitter his dad isn’t someone who loves him unconditionally (and Spy refusing to be that person). Scout with the deeply buried trauma of  being a neglected child and ignored by the father that was right in front of him this whole time. Spy regretting ever letting that secret come to light because it ruins his working relationships and makes things awkward, not because it hurts Scouts feelings. Scout being resentful that the other mercs are better father figures than his actual father would ever dream of being. Spy resenting the fact that Scout wishes he was an entirely different person. Both of them wishing Scout hadn’t been Spy’s son, but for entirely separate reasons.
