I do still know!! Still got all the notebooks. Cj pt1 took up a little over 10 notebooks. As in, like, 10 whole notebooks, then around 8 or 9 pages of an 11th. So the fact that I'm more than halfway through pt2 and it's only 2 and a half notebooks right now really shows how much shorter it's gonna be, hope you guys don't mind that 🥺🥺

I don't think you're being pushy, I understand wondering about this. I am planning to finish writing the whole of part 2 before posting, though. I think it's better for me and all of you if I do it like that. There's only three "videos" left to write including the one I'm currently working on, but considering my track record, I probably won't be posting until around late December or early January, sorry m(>_<)m

Unfortunately, I'm gonna have to put writing on pause for a bit (just for this week) because my mom's paying me to do some paperwork and I need that cash to buy more notebooks and pens to keep writing. I'm doing this for y'all mwah

On the bright side: you guys remember how I changed the chapter count for It Happened In A Dream because I hated the final two chapters? I figured out what was missing from one of them to make it suck less and I'm gonna rewrite it after I finish the current cj pt2 chap to add it back in. Wanna know what the scene was missing?

Unfortunately no, I like to write my first drafts with pen and paper which means I have no idea how many words there are rn. I could give you a page count if you want, but I dont think that'll tell you much.

I'm using 80 sheet 216 x 280 mm notebooks and have so far managed to fill around 2 and a half of them with cj pt2.

Also I'm running low on notebooks. I'm gonna cry about it soon. Just for fun.

okay so at the end of JACKALS there was definitely a timeskip to olympia right?? does that mean we're not getting the stuff from the end to then or is it just. a really small fucking timeskip and I'm just dumb lol

Not gonna lie, I'm also very confused by my own timeline, so apologies if the ensuing explanation makes no sense.

The bit at the end of cj isn't really a timeskip so much as a teaser. The next part isn't gonna have anything to do with the Olympics since it's still mostly set in 2019 with a little bit of 2020. Instead of the weekly videos in part 1, I'm gonna be doing a video every "two months" within the story because if you expect me to come up with video ideas for the entire span of time between the end of cj (May 3 2019) and the beginning of the olympics (minus covid which might have been around June ish 2020 idfk) then you are very very VERY much mistaken. I don't have nearly enough brain cells for that.

So there's gonna be a lot of timeskipping for part 2 but it starts pretty much right where cj leaves off. We're not gonna get ti the olympics until part 3.

I hope this made some semblance of sense. If it doesn't, feel free to ask more questions <3

I decided to rewrite part of the companion smut piece to cj pt2 and managed to finish it quick. I'm still not 100% happy with it, but it's good enough for me be comfortable with leaving it alone until I have to actually upload it at which point I'm probably gonna rewrite a bit more of it.

I think part of the reason I struggled so much with this is because I got an idea for a new fic and it's been all I could fucking think about.

The very first chapter notes of Channel Jackal featured me saying something about how the general outline for cj came to me pretty much in a daze and the exact same thing fucking happened again when I saw fanart for this ship that I didn't even ship at that time and thought up a little scene that I then built half a fanfic out of in the span of a couple hours. The other half was a bit more murky, but I've since fleshed it out. The fanart itself looks nothing like what I came up with.

I wanna write it so fucking bad, but I know myself and I know that if I don't finish cj pt2 first I'm never gonna fucking finish it. There's three chapters of cj pt2 left to do and I'm really excited for the one I'm about to start writing (spoilers: it's another Valentine's chapter wonder what's about to happen 👀) but also that other fic is fucking haunting my every thought.

So, I'll finish cj pt2, do the stupid fic in my head, then cj pt3.

I didn't even ship them. And I don't wanna tell you guys what ship it is because you'll judge me for it and I'll deserve the judgment, I agree, but I don't wanna deal with it so if I do end up finishing that other fic and deciding to upload it I might make a different ao3 account for it and never tell y'all what it is. I'll probably flip a coin to decide.

Why must I be this way. I'm so fucking tired.
