Let's be honest, the whole party are self care or self appreciation icons in their own ways. And here is why! (Sorry op for putting this under ur post btw, it just adds to ur thoughts!)

Senshi is the eating, obviously. He would want you to eat properly and eat what makes u happy and healthy. Senshi would make sure you eat enough and balanced in the dungeon.

Marcille is hygiene. She would want you to care for urself like op said, so I'm not adding more to it with a condensed sentence.

Laois is hobby and interests. He would want you to share and pursue your passions. He would listen to you ramble with all his heart on the matter and I can see him mostlikely even partake in it if he can.

Chilchuck is appreciating your own life. He would want that you to think of yourself and protect your life. To prioritize your health and happiness. Cause I know my man would think of ur safety in the dungeon like with the others.

They literally are the self-care & self appreciation party and we love them for it.

Senshi isn't the only self-care icon of Dungeon Meshi. Yes, he'll live in your brain forever to remind you to eat nutritional meals. But nutrition and delicious food is as far as his self-care goes. That man hasn't washed his beard in who knows how long before he met the group. Marcille is the queen of hygiene self-care. Cleanliness isn't just for health, it feels good and luxurious to just sink yourself into a tub of warm water and fancy smelling soaps. If you don't have the energy to do all that then just wash your hair! Enjoy the hot water against your scalp and massaging that shampoo in. Brush it, braid it, put it up into cute new styles! Marcille said magic is connected to a person's mana, and taking care of it is good routine for mages. Just take a minute to comb/brush your hair and feel that magic in you!

addendums: cult classic tv overlaps with early supernatural seasons somewhat, i am aware, just choose based on the cultural context in which you read your first fic.

for weeaboo crew i was thinking of examples like hetalia, black butler, soul eater, etc--popular anime absolutely included but the distinction is that people who were into dragon ball weren't necessarily going to anime club every week and making deviantart stamps about yaoi, but people into ouran high school host club ABSOLUTELY were.

homestuck is in its own category because homestuck changed fandom forever at a critical time which just happened to be when i was growing up in fandom. harry potter, lotr, star wars, and twilight are in their own categories because they were such multimedia juggernauts they had entire archives dedicated solely and only to their fic that spanned multiple franchise reboots (books -> movies -> extended universes). (i acknowledge star trek technically would fit under this but at the time culturally it had more overlap with other cult classic tv fandoms.)

honorable mentions that didn't make it to the list because i had to pick-and-choose with the 12 answer limit: the final fantasy franchise (axed because i am not familiar enough with the fic scene to know if it was as iconic of a gateway drug as, like, naruto or twilight or star wars fic), a general YA lit category (YA lit outside of twilight only went mainstream slightly after this time period), the MCU (i have a hate boner for the MCU), a broader "american superhero comics" category (this would be valid as an option but i don't have the space)

How the mysterious green eyes originate in Timeline 32728-p

Dear Colleague's, In the Timeline 32728-p green eyes are like in most of our Timelines quite rare in terms of genetics. But in comparison to what We believe is the reason Humans as well as varies other beings are born with the green colored irises, it is not because they are recessive gen, no dear colleague. In Timeline 32728-p it is because they only are existing in the living beings of a unique occurrence in the beings Bloodline.

The Occurrence of a Bloodline descendent of a Fallen.

Definition of Fallen: ° A being having broken a rule a. o. taboo of their respective culture/race and having fallen from grace. -> Example 1: An Angel breaking a rule of the celestial realm and being casted out. -> Example 2: A Dryad not protecting their forest and being shunned by nature.

The most infamous case study to this phenomenon is Lord Satan, Lord Wrath and fourth born Ruler of the Devildom himself. He is the creation of none other then the only recorded Fallen seraphim, who is going by the name of Lord Lucifer now. What We have learned of from Case Study Irae Unicornis helped Us greatly in understanding the Fallen Bloodline of Angelic Heritage in Demonkin further as well as how the intensity of the green coloring translates. What We learned of this case study is the following: The more intense the green coloring of the irises of a being with Fallen Blood, the closer they are to the creator of this Fallen Bloodline. How they are close, if it means that they are more closely in blood, genetic coding or on a soul wave level is yet to be determined. An interesting development we discovered is also that the descendants of this unique Bloodline inherent the Fallen Status of their Ancestor.

As hinted at in the previous paragraph, the descendants of the Fallens Bloodline will be considered to have the Fallen Status as well by the Leylines as well as by both the Flora and Fauna of the Realms. This may show in varies of possibilities. For humans it may reflect in chronic or possibly lethal sicknesses, so called "freak accidents" and or life altering incidents. In Demonkin it doesn't seem to effect their life too negatively. The opposite seems more likely to be the truth. It seems having a Fallen Status is very beneficial to Demonkin. We are still researching other beings responses of this phenomenon. (Note: please update this file after investigation)

In Humans it usually takes about 117 generations to outbreeding Fallen Blood to restore the Bloodline to a neutral status again. In Demonkin it takes surprisingly as low as 10 generations. It happens from time to time that an anomalous child is born, which will almost fully reconnect to the Fallen and therefore have a striking pure green eye coloring with the originally undertone of the Fallen's Heritage. We currently are observing such a subject and the subjects life anomalies. We have dubbed the subject Codename Regulus Alpha. We will update the files as we learn more of this phenomenon. FIY to the folks that followed me cause of my obey me stories!

First of all hi to the new readers. Y'all came outta nowhere. I'm glad you folks like my first tried of writing since I got out of school.

I'm (finally) posting the rewrites of Icarus' Timeline this following month (aka this December) and starting to write out my stories to him as well as show how his timeline of obey me! devolped and unfolded and differs from the canon timeline.

That may mean, I'll post some world building of his timeline the next few days. Like some things like how in Icarus' timeline green eyes have a magical reason or how the stars are their own entity.

Now some of u readers may ask them self right about now why do I call his stories his timeline?

Simple. Cause I see every player as well as obey me oc stories as being in their own individual timeline. That's my interpretation of barbatos lines about being able to see all timelines and all that (excuse me not pulling up the exact lines it's night for me and I'm sleepy writing this). We all are the MC, but no timeline will be a perfect copy and paste as we all choose different answers and following our own ways of playing the games.

ANYways. Enjoy the next few days of my boy's timeline world building and maybe keep an eye on my old posts and Icarus masterlist for the changes. May not upload everyday but we'll see how it goes.

Random late night Idea

So there is this serial murder friend group how in their public life are remount/celebrity level fame people in their field. Like a celebrity chef that sells human meat as exotic pig, a lawyer that gets everyone found not guilty, ths doctor friend that is killing corrupt celebrities/politics/ etc. with secret attentional complecations, a highly recommended contractor and architect couple that hides the bodies in their building/work..u get the idea yes?

And on purge day they go about their murder way until they find this pitiful looking child, looking not a day above 9 with how small and skinny they are. They go over and as what the child is out and about on purge day and this sweet angel sniffles as it admits to having tried to rob a pharmacy to help his babushka, his sweet kind grandma which is badly ill cause they can't afford medications. And this murderous friend group take the child under their wing and help them rob a pharmacy for his family illnesses. And they go the extra mile to rob a grocery store so te family has plenty of food.

And this family is all full of kind souls. They all but thank this strangers that they brought the kid home safe and sound. The grandma, sick with early stage cancer praises Jesus and cries when the friend group brings medicine and even food in addition. This woman is so thankful she insistes the group stays for dinner and she whips up a big family dinner. They all eat and laugh and get to know each other. And it's just a little wholesome moment on purge day.

But that's not the end, no no my friend.

After that fateful day the killer friend group start to help this sweet family. The doctor cured grandma's cancer, helps uncle Pedro with his bad knee and even get the sister of the sweet bean into contact with a therapist for her stress. The lawyer helps the dad get his company back which was wrongly terminated, they help the little bean also with their math problems. The cook get the family fresh food and writes it of under the costs of the restaurant so it's free AND donates some to granny community food bank. The couple helps repair the family home and help get the brother into the Business. Some othes of their friends also help this sweet family and the get invited to their celebrations and family sundays.

And what do they discover after a run in with the police nearly busting them? They just helped the family of the big huncho mafia dude in their area and got granted protection as thanks for the help!

All the while they the purge a tradition to not only get away with their murder activity but also a day to help the community earning them even more good faith for their public business and so more for their serial murder side Hussle.
