Woof! I've been really busy with personal matters, but I'm still here with all my beautiful animals. I got a new friend, Takoyaki the Merauke ( Me-roo-kee) Blue Tongue Skink! He's a few years old so he's pretty much mellow, although he's still a bit huffy when I have to pick him up. Surprisingly wasn't too much trouble when I was trying to get a stuck shed off his toes. I didn't want to stress him out so soon with the handling but it was way too dangerous to leave on the toes. Things have stabilized a bit so I'll put more stuff up.

(Scarlett showing off her bright orange colors) Things have been hectic in the past few days. Even on days where I feel so tired or drained, I'm always glad to come home to my lovelies. I don't like to think that they are "low maintenance" pets as all pets require work on your part to make sure they are in the best conditions. However, I do appreciate that my snakes don't really need me to be there all the time. Just like me, they're quite content in their little hidey-holes until I pick them up and bother them. I've owned and helped take care of a lot of different types of animals in my life and I've found that reptiles just resonate with me. I'm glad to have them in my life and glad I can share it with people who feel the same. :) Also, just wanted to mention that I'll be getting a blue tongue skink soon! Not sure what species yet, but I hope I can get a northern.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Half of my snakes are shedding/finished shedding/fed for the week. Here is Scarlett, a Orange Dream Enchi Fire just before her shed. I wanted to take some pictures of her vibrant colors but she still hasn't shed yet. I'm also playing around with the idea of putting up some informative posts about husbandry or just some helpful tips that may help some newcomers. I'm no expert and will never claim to be, but I'm always researching and reading and thought I could pass on some of my knowledge.

My big boy, Bananel snagamemnon. He's an albino pinstripe and the first ball python I got. Who doesn't love a big yellow snake.

Not snake related but I wanted to share my encounter with this incredible dinosaur of a beast, A Tegu! Walked around the store for about 10 minutes before I realized he was just scooting around. Very intelligent creatures.

My newest boy, A Pumpkin Pied( Yellowbelly Pied). I was very lucky to find a breeder that had pumpkin pied and I try not to buy online because of shipping anxiety, but I couldn't pass up the chance. He's still a bit skittish so I tend to leave him be. Also his name is Ryan Gosling.

You like snakes? Well today is your lucky day because I got em JUST for you! 聽 *winks* Welcome to my snake blog. I just wanted to separate my snake posts from my normal posts to make it easier to find. I thought I鈥檇 start off with my Beautiful Blue-eyed Leucistic (Super Mojave) Ball Python, Yuki! She鈥檚 quite the fearless one. Even when I got her as a wee snake, she never balled up or became defensive. She鈥檚 incredibly tolerable of handling, which makes it great for letting other people hold her and maybe educating others on how great these creatures are.聽
