Enter, stage left: My horrible habit of disappearing off the face of the planet when things are too much. Everyone has been so kind, and so patient, and as it turns out, I didn’t plan this surprise break, either. The personal details don’t belong on this page, given that I’m trying to keep non-comic posts to a minimum, but the TLDR is effectively ‘I am currently in a rather dire financial situation, and have no energy to spare on this side hobby’.

It’s irresponsible of me to let things go so long without updates, but at the same time, I am overbooked and Big Stressy, and I have to prioritize my current IRL situation if I want to be able to eat. Thank you, as always, and this check-in was definitely appreciated.

I will continue to do my best to stay afloat, and believe me, I’m just as frustrated as a lot of readers are! Bear with me as I fumble with that mythical thing called ‘being a responsible adult’.

honestly, you're amazing. i don't know how you keep up with a comic like this, especially one with so much detail. you're freaking awesome and dont ever let anyone tell you otherwise; i love your creations and all that you do. take as much time as you want, even if you post once a month it's still phenomenal and your work is a blessing and privilege that i am so glad we can all enjoy :)

I'd been holding on to this ask for a while because it was so touching that I kind of just put it on the figurative fridge for a while. Genuinely, I appreciate it more than you know. Truth be told: I haven't been keeping up.

For right this minute, my real-life situation asks that I put more effort into finding a way to get financially stable than working on this side project, and I simply haven't had the energy to spare for it. In the name of transparency: Next page hasn't gone beyond 10% thumbnailed. Whoopee! It's a little embarrassing, but what can you do except keep pushing, right?

TLDR No update today, either, because I'm in scramble mode and the metaphorical gas tank has been empty for a while. I will keep trying, and I'll do what I can to keep communication up while I work on managing tasks. Take care of yourself this week!

[No update today - I need a little more time, and thank you as always for bearing with me!]

[The TLDR is that my drawing arm is overbooked, and I am still working with a poor-ergonomics setup that's causing me pain if I overdo it. I have a lot to get done and not a ton of time to do it, so these pages have to get pushed to the bottom of the list on occasion.

This is one of those occasions, and I hope to have more time and energy to work on stuff over here once my art checklist is a bit more cleared. Much love, and I hope you're taking good care of yourselves this season!]

YAY YOU'RE STILL UPDATING YAY!

I have no intention of stopping, in other words, even if the update schedule has been pushed to a two-week period for right this minute! To put a long story short, I've got some health issues that make it hard to stay at my desk & consistently work on stuff, & I don't quite have the means to fix those issues right this minute. So I'm pushin' through with what I've got, without putting myself into burnout! That's why it's taking a little bit, but everyone has been incredibly patient, & I'm always grateful for all the feedback I get in the meantime.

Gosh! I can't wait until we get our first real glimpse at Tails. Its going to be totally wild! I mean he'll be 25 years older than Canon. The suspense is killing me. How much will he have changed with age. Will he have blamed himself for Sonic's disappearance? How would that affect him and his personality? How would being "taken care of" by Shadow and Rouge of all people affect his personality? I'm just spit-balling here, don't feel the need to answer my questions if you don't want to.

(You're quite fine!) - Sorry for takin' so darn long to get the story out, for what it's worth! I can't hand out a bunch of spoilers, but I'll gladly offer some speculation. Tails is such a great character to slap a bunch of nuance onto, because he's so storied, and I'm looking forward to working with him :] I suppose the brief glimpse from pg29 below wasn't much in the way of clarification on how the guy's actually doing these days:

And 2: CD is one of the games I have not played, but I've been informed that the time travel mechanic therein was isolated to Little Planet and the associated places. Something to do with Time Stones, which I'm not employing here. Just rings, Chaos Emeralds, and a little dose of reality destabilization. You know, normal things!

It may just be my tumblr (we all know how tumblr is :/) but the storymode link just leads me to nothing, just wanted to let you know

This is just tumblr being tumblr, unfortunately - the link works fine on all desktop browsers I've tested, but I have never, EVER been able to get that kind of thing to work on mobile, for the ten-and-some-change years i've been battling this website's spaghetti code. I'm sorry for the hassle! There's no good workaround other than external links (hence the gdrive, and the 'first/previous/next' links on posts).

My God! I just realized in that last tid-bit that you posted between chapters. The hologram that Rouge has shows Shadow. His legs, waist, arm, tail, and eye are all green. We already know he has an artificial eye and tail. Does that mean the rest of the green areas are artificial too?! Holy Jesus! How do you survive that?!
