Adventure Mode Beta is amazing. Playing as a chinchilla man. He hasn't quite figured out what he wants in life, yet.

However, he knows how to sneak up to the wildlife. Jump at them from hiding. Then BITE their throat (sometimes also their lower body) and shake shake shake until they bleed out.

He never hit anything with his sword yet. Nothing.

He BITES.

Also he seems to be too small to look over deep snow and has like. Zero visibility in thd tundra lmao.

Israel’s genocidal assault has killed or injured over 2 percent of Palestinian children in Gaza over the course of just six months, Save the Children has reported. In the months since October 7, Israel’s assault has killed over 13,800 children in Gaza and injured over 12,000 children, according to counts by UN officials and the Gaza Ministry of Health cited by Save the Children. This means that Israel has killed or injured at least 25,800 children in Gaza, or over 1 in every 50 children living in the region before the assault.

Previous reports have found that Israel is killing and injuring children at a rate that is unprecedented compared to any modern conflict. On average, Israel has killed about 75 children in Gaza each day over the course of the last six months, while many of the children who have survived have sustained lifelong injuries; an average of over 10 children are having one or both legs amputated every day in Gaza. Doctors in the region say that Israeli snipers have also been targeting children.

Have a fort that is entirely on water (long story that includes trying to bridge a piece of ocean, dfhack's "embark anywhere" and a lot of luck of coincidentally embarking when the water had frozen over so that my party didn't drown but instead had time to burrow under the ice and into the safe ocean floor, with only a staircase straw connecting the fort to the surface lmao), and now that the ice is coming back I keep getting the "Something collapsed on the surface!!" alert and everywhere perfectly square ice pillars are forming on level -30.

This seems... fishy. :'D

Update a few in-game days later: the ice has covered the surface but the ice pillars remain from level -30 to ABOVE the rest of the water level. Maybe there's a lava pit somewhere underneath that makes the water shift oddly. That or... a tunnel to the circus lol. There's a lot of mist being generated whenever something "collapses" again. Fascinating mechanic.

(This fort is amazing. We get zero visitors and live under the ice for the majority of the year, only getting out for like three weeks during the hottest part of the summer to fish in the sea surrounding us. The only thing we lack is wood, but I guess I'll find the cavern eventually, and I turned the wagon into two beds for a dormitory as well as one charcoal.)
