Stat Trek!
Last year #Netflix released some viewing data and I started but only just finished producing this chart showing the relative popularity of the classic #StarTrek shows on the platform. No big surprises, but there are some interesting observations to make…
Most surprising to me is that Enterprise works out to be the most popular show if you account for the fact that there are fewer episodes. Per hour of available content, it is slightly more in demand than TNG.
Season 1 is by far the most popular season of TNG! Why? Well, one interesting observation people made on Xhitter is that Picard season 3 aired Feb-April 2023 and may have boosted the amount of people who started watching the show during this period.
Poor Animated Series. 😢
Please do let me know if you see any errors. As much as I like a good infographic, I'm not really much of a numbers guy. But my little wormhole by DS9 is cute, right?

A combadge homage to Ex Astris Scientia, one of the OG Star Trek nerdsites and one I've been visiting since it came online 25 years ago. An invaluable service to the fandom!

i just put it in the tags of your post but I figured I'd ask you directly- if I credited you in my bio, could I use that edited picture of Brad and Beckett in live action as a profile picture? it looks really nice and I love you made their outfits look more accurate to the show. i understand if you say no, though
Oh hi, sorry for the late reply, I'm not on here all that regularly. Please go ahead if you want to and thanks for asking! I'm glad you like them.

The Next Gen combadge in all of its internal glory.
More info below and on my newly updated ArtStation.
Here’s a closer look at the interior details. I kept it pretty faithful to the diagram that appears in the TNG Technical Manual.
And here’s a look at the spread I created for the reverse side, just so I could simulate the appearance of thin paper!
Zoom in on that away team… or landing party as they used to call them.

I’ve been experimenting with volumetric effects in Blender 3D. Here’s my first pass of the same image. I like elements of both, TBH.
