Homosexuality was decriminilized bc the criminal code was changed/abolished, meaning there were a lot more important things to go after than gay people (like those who go against him and his ideas), but it was never considered as sth normal, not in his time or anyone else's. Homosexuality was, during that time, looked as "being sick", that it can be treated, like a mental illness. If you'd be outspoken about any kind of pro ideas or investments about this subject (or any other that doesn't match Leninism movement) then you'd be shot dead on the spot, in any "era" of communism. When Stalin came to power, homosexuality was a crime again and after 1999 it wasn't illegal anymore to be gay, but that doesn't mean you can go out and be open about it (like Putin has said "you can do what you want at home it's fine, but in public and in front of kids-no-prison"). Lenin's and Stalin's political ideas matched very close so you can only imagine how much he "cared" about gays.
Lenin was not polyamorous, he was just a fucking cheater. Nadjezda was extremely hurt by his affair. He exploited all the women in his life just for his political gains.
I couldn't find anything about a "gay man", so idk where you got that from.
Overall, just bc Lenin didn't go after gays doesn't mean he was accepting of them. He just had bigger priorities at the time. Far-left in that time also doesn't mean "accepting of gays" like it does most elsewhere.
I literally just learned that Vladimir Lenin was polyamorous, and decriminalized homosexuality in Russia. He also contributed one of the major reasons for the revolutions success to a gay man.
Lenin is quite literally more accepting then some modern day politicians

If a man is treating you like he hates you it’s because he does. There is no deeper meaning and even if there were it’s not your job to investigate it 🩷

I’m always the back burner friend. The friend that’s always there for everyone, but not important enough to be there for. I’m only moved to the front when it’s convenient. I’m tired.
