Emma Swan is making breakfast for her family. She is pouring a bowl of cereal when she hears a knock on the door. She goes to open it and finds Regina Mills standing there.

EMMA: Regina, what are you doing here?

REGINA: I need to talk to you. It's important. Can I come in?

Emma hesitates but then nods and steps aside to let Regina in.

INT. CHARMING HOUSE - KITCHEN - MOMENTS LATER

Regina sits down at the kitchen table and Emma sits across from her.

REGINA: Emma, I have something to tell you. When you were a baby, you were left on my doorstep. I was only four years old at the time, but I remember it like it was yesterday.

EMMA: What? I don't understand. How is that possible?

REGINA: I don't know all the details, but I remember finding you on my doorstep and taking you in. I raised you as my own until you were taken away by the adoption agency.

EMMA: But why didn't you tell me before? Why wait until now?

REGINA: I was afraid. I was afraid of what you would think of me, of how you would react. But I couldn't keep it a secret any longer. I had to tell you the truth.

EMMA: I don't know what to say. This is all so overwhelming.

REGINA: I understand. I just wanted you to know the truth. You deserve to know where you came from.

Emma sits in silence for a moment, processing the information.

EMMA: Thank you for telling me, Regina. I don't know what this means for us, but I'm glad that I finally know the truth.

Regina nods and stands up to leave.

REGINA: I'm sorry if I've caused you any pain by telling you this. I just wanted you to know the truth.

Emma stands up and gives Regina a hug.

EMMA: It's okay. I'm glad you told me. Thank you.

They stop moving, their eyes still locked on each other. A moment passes, and then they both take a step forward.

They embrace, their lips meeting in a passionate kiss.
