Have you heard from Sadie? She hasn't posted since last night. Everyone's been asking around but we can't get a hold of her
No, no one has heard from Sadie as far as I’m aware. We know she went into the house last night. Her website was briefly updated with a video and image that I’ve posted here, but it’s all removed from her site
Does anyone have any way of reaching Sadie or any of her friends/family?
Please, send any info to our ask box.
We need to find her

I went into the Syscon Dire house about a year ago. I went in with a few friends. We heard all of the lore, the legends, all of it. I was new to town and both interested and terrified about what I heard about this house. I encouraged some of my friends to come inside the house with me one night, suggesting we bring a Ouija board to try and make contact, see if we could hear from one of the ghosts. I'd never used one, neither had my friends. We were out of our minds going into that house. We set up shop on the floor of the living room. We asked, 'is anyone there?' When my our hands started moving, I was sure that it was one of my buddies fucking around. But everyone swore up and down that they didn't move an inch. I know I sure as hell didn't. The marker moved to 'yes'. We should have ran out of there right then. But of course something possessed us to press it further. 'Who are you?' was answered with, 'peek-a-boo'. I jumped back, nearly flinging the board across the room with me. I wanted to get the hell out but something, and I know this sounds ridiculous, washed over me, telling me to stay. I calmly stood back up and returned to my original position. We didn't ask another question, but the piece started moving again. 'ALB'. I had no idea what that meant at first. One of my friends decided to ask, 'are you killing people?' and I shit you not, the candles we'd lit around the table were all snuffed out. My friend Jake swore he heard a little girl laughing. I didn't believe him, but when I realized ALB stood for Annabel Louise Barnett the next day, I almost got sick.
Anonymous submission. As far as I’m aware, and we’ve done a pretty decent job of keeping track of this kind of activity, this is the first time that someone has successfully used a Ouija board inside of SD. There have been many attempts, and I’m sure many we might not be aware of. This person came forward with evidence and proof of contact but wished to remain unidentified.
This is...a huge development. Readers, let me know what you think.

if you don't mind me asking, who are you? you've never given a name or anything. i noticed you recently linked to a website, sadie i think, right? are you her? sorry i'm just curious who is running this page and knows so much about this house
Of course I don’t. Firstly, I am not Sadie. Sadie doesn’t run this page. She has worked closely with it in the pursuit of providing the most factual, accurate information that we can. I use ‘we’ because this blog is such a group effort. It wouldn’t exist without the accumulation of information and details from the investigative/enthusiast community.
As for myself, I prefer to remain anonymous (just as you do!) I don’t find it necessary to reveal my identity, as I wish for this space to be one that people can try to make sense of things, where fellow enthusiasts can share their experiences, and where newbies can find an entrance into the dark and mysterious world of SD. I’m merely a pair of hands typing at a keyboard. A vessel, if you will.
I hope this answer doesn’t upset you. It’s nothing personal against any member of the community or anything like that at all. I just think it’s more appropriate to leave my name out of it.
I hope you enjoy the blog. And please, give Sadie’s website some love. She has her email linked if you had any questions or info or anything at all. She’s a great friend of this page, that’s for sure.
Thanks for your question! I hope you stick around.

lmfao this is all so fake have fun preaching to strangers about the existence of ghosts xD
I’m glad you find the murders of several families to be humorous. Just because you don’t believe something can be true doesn’t mean that it isn’t. Go troll some other blog.

Fellow enthusiast here. Why haven't you mentioned the possibility of Annabel's spirit roaming the mansion/grounds? I understand this theory isn't as popular, but it happens to be my own. I find it worth mentioning.
Welcome. Okay. Some believed that Annabel survived her parents somehow, this is true. You are one of them, and I want you to know that I fully support any belief that you might have. But the fact is, there was no evidence found to suggest that Annabel had been killed (or even died at all). Her body was never found. As I understand, part of the Annabel theory suggests that she survived and subsequently suffered a psychotic break after the loss of her parents, causing her to kill families attempting to live inside of the house. This theory, as interesting as it might be, is impossible because were she alive, there is no way that she would still be alive in 2006 killing people. When her parents died in 1903, Annabel was believed to be six years old.As far as her spirit being the murderer of all of these families- anything is possible. We have the least amount of knowledge about Annabel and that's why her theories are so interesting. I never know what to make of them. Personally, what keeps me from believing in them fully is the spirit of a six-year-old girl killing anything. But, again, anything is possible. Especially at SD, as you know.

Christopher Reynolds was a sick son of a bitch. He wrote a damn suicide note after killing his wife and son. Nearly cut their heads clean off, he slit their throats so deep. Yeah, Chris, you did lose your damn mind. Sick fuck. He'll rot in hell, that's for sure.

So, no one's lived in the house since the pearson family in 2006? that's crazy. Ppl still go in there though ?
Yes, that’s true. No one has lived in the house since then. And before that, the house had been vacant on the market for eleven years. I’ll make a post about 1995 soon.
But, yes, people go into the house all of the time. As I’ve mentioned before (I encourage you to scroll through the blog to find as much info as you can if you haven’t already!), trespassing is a real problem for Syscon Dire. There has been a serious decline in the homeless community over the past 15 or 20 years and, since the job market is still shit around here, many imagine that something else has caused the reduction of homeless people in Whitmere. A big, empty house that no one is “allowed” into and can’t tear down. Sounds like a nice play to stay if I needed one. But where have they gone?
The issue of trespassing is also the best way to get information. Speaking of, one of Whitmere’s top enthusiast and most well-respected investigator into all things SD, Sadie McLaughlin, is planning a visit to the house fairly soon, I believe. She intends to film any part of the visit that she’s able to and plans to include details of her experience in her upcoming book about Syscon Dire.
I encourage you all to check out Sadie’s website for more info and to keep yourselves up to date on her upcoming projects.

Text
August 30th, 2006. The Pearson Family.
The last family to live in the Syscon Dire mansion was the Pearson family. New to Whitmere, they moved into the house in March of 2006.
Jeff, 42. Janice, 39. Lucas, 11. Sally, 7. All died on the 29th of August inside the mansion. Janice and the children were stabbed multiple times with a knife belonging to their kitchen set. Jeff was found with a fatal gun wound to the head, appearing to be self-inflicted.
Per numerous neighbor reports, the family was idyllic. They were active in the community when they first arrived, attended town hall meetings (yes, that is still a thing that happens in Whitmere), and were known for family outings downtown in the historic walking mall. They were friendly, kind, well-mannered. They ignored the legends and lore surrounding the house and, desperate to find a place to live in an affordable town after Jeff’s company transfer, they put the in-home deaths to the backs of their minds and attempted to make SD a happy home for their family.
Many reported that less and less was seen of the Pearsons the longer that they lived at SD. They stayed home and the children even stopped attending school as Janice took over homeschooling them from the mansion.
Closest neighbors to the mansion are Mike and Rhonda Dean. Mike is a lore enthusiast. He takes it upon himself, in such close proximity, to act as a protector. A protector of the innocent lives attempting to enter the house. He’s aging and believed to be “crazy” amongst many the citizens of Whitmere. Even some of the other enthusiasts. I believe Mike is a good man, concerned for the well-being of others. But his good intentions couldn’t save the Pearsons.
Their deaths were ruled as murder(s)-suicide. It is common belief that, like the others, they, too, were murdered by Jeff or Nadine, whomever’s spirit still lurks within Syscon Dire. After their deaths, the town could no longer endure the “coincidences” of deaths taking place inside the house. Local law officials have nothing to go on, the mayor hadn’t a clue how to remedy the situation (hint: you can’t!). The house, since that day, has been condemned. Many proposed that it should be torn down, but local laws protect the structure of the house as a historical landmark that can’t be touched.
Trespassers have tried to burn it, yet it still stands. There are all kinds of forces protecting the mansion. What do they want?
Let us know your theories. And please, reach out with any questions and/or personal experiences.
