i have no one to talk abt fe3h with so im sorry!! but who r ur faves in golden deer house and why?

hi anon! okay……i’m actually starting golden deer for the first time next weekend so i may not know all the characters on the deepest level yet BUT I LOVE THEM SO MUCH REGARDLESS… so keeping in mind that i’ve only played crimson flower & azure moon so far:

claude - sweetheart!!! canımın içi !!! love of my life!!! i fucking love him SO so much!!! definitely the most well-adjusted lord & i love his backstory……his goals….his outlook on life. i admire his determination and unflinching resolve. he’s really perceptive and passionate and clever despite the easygoing front he puts on & he’s so effortlessly funny and charming. i don’t think the nuances of his character are as immediately obvious as edelgard & dimitri’s are and i dig that so much! also in terms of design like….bro. his little braid as a student & the single earring…..so cute. & his post-timeskip design is God-tier like YES that is my husband thank you! i love his eyebrows & the tassels at his waist hehe…. also i feel i’ve got a LOT of things in common with him & it just makes me so happy that he’s a well-written main character who’s a poc AND that his character design is based partially on the ottomans & ancient west asian cultures. i love him so much & i have so much more to say about him but i’ll stop for now by saying he’s just one of my all-time fave characters

lysithea (!!!) - i recruited her for my crimson flower route and God i adore her…….she’s got so much spunk & confidence and she’s such a hard worker….. u have to respect her or else! but at the same time she’s so tiny i wanna scoop her up into my arms and spin her around. and her thing for sweets is so silly because it’s like…..a nice detail to remind u of how small she actually is. but when you find out what’s up with her backstory and the reason why she pushes herself so hard it makes all this all the more tragic because like …she’s got so much life in her! so much power! it isn’t fair! she’s such a darling i just want to see her safe and happy :-(

hilda - she’s just so pink and so FUN. i genuinely find her to be one of the most fun characters in the entire game & she’s just…..so lazy and charming and aggravating and she has has bubblegum-pink hair and wields the world’s biggest axe. how can you not love her

leonie - lesbian :-) also i think her design (both pre- and post-timeskip) is SO CUTE. like the lil jacket she always has around her waist…..that’s fashion baby! outside of her supports with byleth she’s always really sweet and encouraging to her friends & she’s quite underrated but idk why! like she’s so good! i’m gonna s-support her someday

lorenz - GOD i hated this guy for the longest time but something happened & i’ve grown to like him SO much…. his growth from this stuck-up, pompous kid to a more mature, trusting adult is a joy to watch. his whole thing abt grappling with this duty as a noble & trying so hard to conform to those ideals instead of doing what he likes is actually quite sad & i think it makes for some interesting character growth! his pre-timeskip haircut is atrocious but his long sleek purple hairstyle after the timeskip made some points! also i love characters with rose motifs & he certainly fits the bill. also he’s just SILLY

marianne - i KNOW she has some sort of tragic backstory but i’m not sure what it is yet…….she seems like a darling though & it makes me upset to see her so sad and tired all the time. her hairstyle & post-timeskip outfit are really nice & i’m quite sure she’s literally a disney princess (animal familiars and all!) & i’m very excited to learn more about her & to see her grow….. i know there’s something up with her family or her crest but i’m just not sure what….

ignatz - adorable! i don’t know a ton about him but i like how gentle he is & i like his passion for art bc like….it’s interesting that he hold so fast to his softness and interests even while attending a combat academy. also his little ducktail pre-timeskip is super cute. i think i’ll probably start liking him a lot more when i play gd and learn more about him

raphael - probably the most mentally healthy character in this whole game! he’s not really my cup of tea so i don’t think about him an awful lot but i do appreciate his optimism & easy confidence when things go wrong!

not part of the golden deer house exactly but judith von daphnel is so fucking fine. perhaps i love milfs!

wait i’m realizing that i just evaluated all the characters instead of picking a couple favorites……um in my defense i have a lot of love in my heart & i’m bi so u can’t make me choose. anyway sorry for the essay ily!
