.゚۪ ♡ ۫     VENUS VICTRIX ... THE THRID FULL ALBUM !
Venus Victrix is the third full album of the fictional South Korean girl group VENUS. The album was released by Flowerbank Entertainment on December 18th, 2023. Before the release of the highly anticipated album, the girls released two pre-release singles, "DRAMA" and "I AM THE BEST," both getting two weeks of promotions and being met with widespread praise. With a total of twelve songs, VENUS would promote "THE BOYS", "UNTIE", and "BYOB (bring your own bestie)" for three months.
Tumblr media
Venus Victrix has a total of 12 tracks, with all the girls having writing credits on every song. The tracklist is nearly entirely produced by other people as Venus decided to take a step back from producing for the time being, with the exception of "Making The Bed," which is written, composed, and produced by Chloe.
Long-time creative director Adrian Reyes produced a majority of the album alongside Ideal Music producer CLOSURE AKA Zion of Arm Candy, THATZTY AKA Tyler of Sunlite, Piper of SNS, Yuki of SNS, LULU formerly of ALLUME, SOOORA AKA Sora formerly of ALLUME, TSUISON AKA Noah of DeepDive, DOWN2LEE AKA Finn of DeepDive, and most notably Lee Chang.
The girls were given the honor of picking a song from the Flowerbank Vault, choosing "I Love You" out of the 50 songs within the Flowerbank Vault. All money earned from the song will go to his mother.

Venus Victrix, received an impressive number of pre-orders, indicating its widespread appeal. Within just six days of the pre-order period starting, the album had received over 800,000 pre-orders, and by December 12th, the number of pre-orders had reached one million. Out of these one million pre-orders, 670,000 came from Korea, while 340,000 were from the US and Europe. Moreover, a limited edition vinyl of only 18,888 copies had sold out within days, further highlighting the album's popularity. As per the latest reports, the album had accumulated 1.2 million physical sales worldwide by January 12th.
The album debuted at the top spot of the Gaon Album Chart and broke the record for first-week sales on Hanteo among girl groups. It sold an impressive 590,000 copies in just one day after its physical release date. Gaon Chart would go on to announce that Venus' album received an official million certification after selling over a million copies in South Korea on January 22nd.
Undoubtedly, their highest performing album yet, VENUS, would be virtually unavoidable for the three months they were promoting, whether it be their songs being played on the radio or their faces on billboards; Venus was everywhere. Citizens would dub this era "The Venus Virus" as it seemed everyone and their mothers were listening or talking about the group during this time.
Venus was gaining popularity not only in South Korea but also worldwide. Venus Victrix made its debut at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, with a total of 110,000 album-equivalent units. This includes 81,000 pure album sales, 26,000 stream-equivalent sales, and 2,000 track-equivalent sales.
Pitchfork would go on to rank the album 8.1 out of 10, making it the second highest-rated album on the site. "Venus not only pushes the boundaries of K-pop with their stellar vocal performances but also elevates the genre with 'Venus Victrix.' The album's catchy hooks and dance-worthy tracks are complemented by lyrics that delve into deeper themes, making it a standout release in the world of pop music."
Tumblr media
Multiple Youtubers would go on to review/react to Venus Victrix. Music reviewer Anthony Fantano would be the first to review the album, giving it a 7.8 overall.
"While 'Venus Victrix' has its merits, I can't help but feel there's a missed opportunity here. The vocals and lyricism are commendable, but the overall sound lacks a certain adventurous quality. It's a solid 7.8, but I expected a bit more risk-taking from Venus."
Twitter's favorite reactionary Zach Campbell would go onto react to "The Boys" music video, heavily praising the girls and the song for it's energy and visuals. Unlike Fantano, Campbell would go on to become a darling amongst Constellations.
"This music video is like a visual feast. [...] Venus is playing in a league of their own!"
Most notably, AJay Delux would post her video "Venus Victrix - First Listen." just two weeks after the album dropped. Her review of the album was very positive, praising the girls for their vocal talent and versatility. Sena and Jiah would go on to post the video on their stories, thanking her for her review and mentioning how much they love her videos. AJay would go on to rate the album a 8 out of 10.
"Alright, that was a wild ride through Venus's 'Venus Victrix.' The vocals and lyricism held it together, and the diversity in sounds across the tracks kept it interesting. I'm giving this a solid 8 out of 10. Venus delivered the fun pop with meaningful lyrics they promised."
Tumblr media
OO1. LOTS of interactions with other idols, especially for TikTok! Venus tends to stay in their bubble most of the time, but this time around, they really put themselves out there! Even bliss was socializing more, which is something constellations haven't seen since FOREVER. They mainly did the "BYOB" challenge with other idols, but for a few (mainly girl idols, lol!), they did the "UNTIE" challenge, which constellations ate up!
OO2. The long promotional schedule seemed to confuse a lot of fans with how fast-paced the industry seems to be nowadays. "I felt like we missed out on an opportunity with Burn The Witch by only promoting it for such a short period of time," Creative director Adrian Reyes would go on to explain at a press conference, "Things move too fast, and I want to change that. Venus is supposed to not be like other groups, which is why we went with what I feel is a proper promotional schedule. If it was full up to me, I'd promote this album all year." And while a majority of the internet knew what he was getting at, disgruntled K-pop stans on Twitter took this as an opportunity to frame Venus as "Pick Me's" and "Not Like Other Girls," which caused a multitude of fan wars on the site. None of the girls use the app, so they didn't see or care.
OO3. For the three-month promotional period, they will promote a different song and b-side for that month. For Dec-Jan, they promoted "The Boys"; for Jan-Feb, they promoted "BYOB" and concluded promotions with "Untie" in March. This gave fans an insane amount of content to be and look forward to, making sure none of their fans were bored. Even then, they still caused problems on every social media site they could.
OO4. Through their reality-styled web series, "VenusVentures," they would give their fans an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of Venus Victrix. However, the chaos backstage would turn out to be more entertaining than anyone expected. From funny bloopers during dance rehearsals to unexpected moments during the photoshoots, the web series was a hit, with many of the clips taken from the show going viral.
One of the more notable clips to go viral was a clip of Baebi and Chloe arguing over what they're going to have for dinner after they finished filming.
"I want a fruit bowl," Baebi would snap at Chloe over her shoulder, who would huff and flip her hair over her shoulder, looking annoyed as usual.
"I want Thai food. You always want nasty fru-"
"And action!" The director would shout, cutting the girls' fight off. Both of the girl's expressions would change in a split second, their annoyed ones being wiped away and replaced with fierce and confident ones, and the intro to The Boys would play. The clip, while not only hilarious, showed off the girl's professionalism and dedication to their craft.
OO5. Though there were A LOT of fan events organized by Flowerbank, one of the most notable ones would have to be the art gallery they put on. Venus invited Constellations to submit their fan art to Flowerbank to be displayed in a "Venus Gallery" as well as hold an art competition where the winners would receive not only VIP tickets to their upcoming tour but also to have their art incorporated into Venus' official merch, and also $10,000. The members of Venus personally selected the three winners. The event became one of the most special and heart-warming events between constellations and Venus, causing much buzz and conversations around all corners of the internet.
OO6. Though the girls are known for their versatile concepts, the music video for "Through Your Window" surprised many fans with its controversial yandere concept, which was a bit surprising due to the song's light and almost mystical sound. The visuals, though beautiful, depict the girls stalking their love interests and presumed murdering him after they see him talking to another girl. "We could've gotten Venus as fairies, but instead, we got them killing men," one fan would tweet, though another fan would quote the tweet in defense of the video, saying: "I would actually like to see Venus kill more men idk why yall are complaining," causing an internal fan war. Though the video's concept was questioned, the girls acting and visuals were highly praised, and a selfie of Bliss with blood splattered on her face soon joined the "the most annoying mfs have this picture as their icon" list.
OO7. Of course, it's not a Venus comeback without some drama. Chloe's iCloud would be hacked, leaking multiple pictures of her with a lesser-known actor, Jeon Juyeon. What really caused controversy around this was not the fact the pair might be dating but that Juyeon was Chloe's long-running fansite "CozyChloe," having over 50k followers on his fansite Instagram account. This blew up the internet essentially, causing just a shitstorm for literally everyone. The rumors only got worse when Juyeon went on to deactivate CozyChloe and private his personal account. Chloe would catch a lot of heat for this, a lot of people saying she's abusing her power as an idol and taking advantage of her fans. Though their relationship was never confirmed, Chloe would go live on the official Venus account, issuing an apology in front of the infamous "apology wall" at Flowerbank Entertainment.
OO8. More importantly, they'd collaborate with Tate McRae! Venus would release an English version of Untie with Tate on it, even performing the version with the pop star a few times. Most notably, they'd perform with Tate on the show with her acting as a six-member, causing a lot of jokes and memes between the two fandoms. While Tate was in Korea, Venus would make her an honorary sixth member, letting her stay in the dorm and taking her to their favorite restaurant. While the collaboration was a bit sudden and off guard, many people found the girl's bond cute and wholesome. The vlogs, including Tate, would go on to reach a collective 12 million views.
OO9. The outfits for Untie would come under fire by religious organizations, saying the outfits were too promiscuous and revealing for television. At first, the girls would ignore the accusations, but once the internet caught hold of them, it blew up and was impossible for them to ignore. "While I don't agree with them, I do understand why old people would think a strappy tank top is promiscuous," Sena would go on to say when asked about the controversy, "I think it's important as artists that we're allowed to express ourselves even if that means showing our shoulders. So, I guess don't watch it if you don't like it. It seems kind of easy. We're adults. I thought we knew that." And she'd give a cute smile and a fingerheart, causing the audience to laugh.
O10. Towards the end of their promotions, VENUS would announce their third world tour! In April, the girls will travel to 22 countries, performing 66 shows all around the world. This will be their most extensive tour yet. The tour was announced via a promotional video posted to their YouTube channel. The video was set in a cyberpunk setting, with the girls dressed in sleek and futuristic outfits while walking through a city, being the only ones in black while the citizens are dressed in white. "Do you feel different?" The girls would ask in various languages, such as Korean, English, Thai, Mandarin, Japanese, and Vietnamese. The video ends with all five of Venus in front of a massive screen that is surrounded by little screens. The screens glitch for a moment before flashing white, the phrase "(IM)DIFFERENT." appearing on all of them, revealing to be the name of the tour. It's a short video but effective. In the description was a link to VENUS' official website, where tickets will be sold.

It's Taylor Swift release day so here's my ranking of all her albums that no one cares about.
1. evermore - subjective perfection. It's as if someone produced a perfect mixture of what I want Taylor to sound like. Incredible, it's a shame she didn't stick to that vibe. Cowboy like me is her best song. She should fire Antonoff and just stick with Dessner.
2. folklore - just slightly behind evermore. It's the one that got me into her music. Wonderful songwriting, great production. Also all the songs are easy to learn and sound great on guitar which is a wonderful addition.
3. 1989 - the perfect Taylor pop record. I was honestly pissed at the Taylor's version because it messed up the pace of the album so badly.
4. Speak Now - sonically diverse, not a single weak spot in this one. Last Kiss is her second best song. Long Live, Dear John, Mean - so many iconic songs on this one. It's also her first album where the songwriting really shines.
5. Fearless - love the vibe of her still being in her country phase but slowly leaning closer to pop. The upbeat songs are great but the slower and sadder ones don't land as hard as on other albums.
6. reputation - another really good Taylor pop. A bit edgier 1989. Don't Blame Me, Dancing With Our Hands Tied, Getaway Car, Dress and New Year's Day are the highlights.
7. Red - THE Taylor Swift album if we're being honest. It's the one that cemented her as a superstar. A lot of great songs here - State Of Grace, Red, Holy Ground, I Knew You Were Trouble, WANEGBT, All Too Well (especially the 10 minute version). Also some of the best Vault tracks (again, especially the 10 Minute ATW). But it's kind of bloated, with quite a few songs that could be cut and not much would be lost.
8. Taylor Swift - I loooove country Taylor. It's a shame this era ended so quickly. Picture To Burn, Should've Said No, I'm Only Me When I'm With You, Our Song? BANGERS. Every track that's a bit slower here is just a skip tho.
9. Lover - bloaaaated. Some phenomenal stuff. False God, which I'm pretty sure is the only saxophone part in Taylor's discography. Cruel Summer, The Archer, DBATC, Lover, Daylight, all really good tracks. But the lows are really low. ME! with Brendon Urie is a crime, and You Need To Calm Down and The Man are not much better. Also it's the album repsonsible for the gaylors.
10. Midnights - I still haven't forgiven her that disastrous rollout. 15 different versions, a special song available only on the variant sold in one venue. There are 23-26 tracks in total (again, thanks to that mess it's hard to tell) and you could easily remove about 13 to have a much better album without losing nothing of value
11. The Tortured Poets Department - maybe it will grow on me but I doubt that. This one is also so bloated, with some very bizzare lyrical choices. That one line in the article about the songwriting collapsing under the weight of the lore was so real. I appreciate that she plays with her vocals more than usual here. Also the moment Dessner takes over the album immediately gets better. FIRE JACK ANTONOFF. Anyway, it's quite a disappointment for now. I've been happier about getting one Cassandra Jenkins track a few days ago than getting two hours of Taylor today.

Info Dump Time!
So it has come to my attention that the slasher fandom has recently been introduced to Ice Nine Kills, my favorite band (aside from Rammstein, of course). So if you are really wanting to get into them but have no clue where to start, look no further! As I am about to impart my knowledge onto all of you lovely people!
Tumblr media
So Ice Nine Kills is an American Rock band from Boston, Massachusetts (but they like to say they’re from Salem). The band was formed in 2002 by high school friends Spencer Charnas and Jeremy Schwartz, though today the only surviving member of the original band is Spencer.
(more under the cut)
The current members are:
Spencer Charnas - lead vocals (main stage character: Freddy Kruger, Jason Vorhees)
Tumblr media
Ricky Armellino - rhythm guitar, co-vocals (the extra screaming voice in most songs lol) (main stage character: Georgie)
Tumblr media
Patrick Galante - drums (main stage character: Jigsaw)
Tumblr media
Joe Occhiuti - bass, keyboard (Main stage character: Eric Draven)
Tumblr media
Dan Sugarman - lead guitar, backing vocals (Main stage character: Leatherface)
Tumblr media
Justin “JD” DeBlieck is also technically a current member but he's been on hiatus from the band since Warped Tour 2018. His role in the band has been filled in by Ricky since then.
Their original sound was more ska-punk but have, since their first official album, have changed their sound to metalcore, or as Spencer calls it, theatricore.
Their discography is as follows:
Last Chance To Make Amends - 2006 (not currently on spotify and the only one I haven’t heard)
The Burning - 2007
2 Song Acoustic - 2009
Safe Is Just A Shadow - 2010
The Predator - 2013
The Predator Becomes The Prey - 2014
Every Trick In The Book - 2015
The Silver Scream - 2018
Other notable releases:
They’ve been featured on Punk Goes Pop three times and Punk Goes 90s once. They covered Adele’s Someone Like You on Vol. 5, Maroon 5’s Animals on Vol. 6, Taylor Swift’s I Don’t Want To Live Forever on Vol. 7, and Green Day’s Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life) on Punk Goes 90’s Vol. 2 (also, side note, Motionless In White covered Rammstein’s Du Hast on that record and it is *chef kiss* horrible. Awful. Listen to it if you wanna ruin your ears. Chris Motionless does not know a lick of German and it shows)
In 2017 they released a re-recorded version of Safe Is Just A Shadow which I personally prefer over the original because it is a much cleaner record. I also like that it only features Spencer’s vocals which I find sounds much better than the mix of his and former bassist Shane Bisnett’s vocals.
Last year, they released a deluxe version of The Silver Scream which includes the new track Your Number’s Up, a cover of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, and acoustic versions of A Grave Mistake, Stabbing In The Dark, SAVAGES, and Thank God It’s Friday (personally I only really like the acoustic of A Grave Mistake)
Their two most recent albums, Every Trick In The Book and The Silver Scream follow a similar format where every song on them follows a similar theme, ETITB being all based on classic novels and TSS being all based on slasher movies (with the exception of Thriller).
The songs and what they’re based on are as follows:
The Nature Of The Beast - Animal Farm by George Orwell
Communion Of The Cursed - The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty
Bloodbath & Beyond - Dracula by Bram Stoker
The Plot Sickens - Alive: The Story of The Andes Survivors by Piers Paul Read
Star-Crossed Enemies - Romeo And Juliet by William Shakespeare (the analyst in me really loves this song because it implies that Romeo and Juliet knew that they were only characters in a play but died together anyway because they knew they couldn’t escape their fate)
Me, Myself, & Hyde - The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson
Alice - Go Ask Alice by Beatrice Sparks
The People In The Attic - The Diary Of A Young Girl by Anne Frank (this song features Spencer doing a very unconvincing German accent which, outside of the context of the song, is very funny)
Tess-Timony - Tess of the D’Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy
Hell In The Hallways - Carrie by Stephen King
The American Nightmare - A Nightmare On Elm Street
Thank God It’s Friday - Friday The 13th
Stabbing In The Dark - Halloween
SAVAGES - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Jig Is Up - Saw
A Grave Mistake - The Crow
Rocking The Boat - Jaws (fun fact! This song features Jeremy Schwartz, the other founding member of the band and the lyrics contain the names of 5 of their 6 albums, excluding The Silver Scream)
Enjoy Your Slay - The Shining (another fun fact! In 2016 they put a vote to their fans to pick what piece of media the song they were working on would be based on, either The Shining or Psycho, I voted for Psycho because they already had a song based on a Stephen King story)
Freak Flag - The Devil’s Rejects
The World In My Hands - Edward Scissor-Hands
Merry Axe-Mas - Silent Night, Deadly Night
Love Bites - An American Werewolf In London
IT Is The End - It (including this one they have 3 songs based on Stephen King stories! His influence, ugh)
Your Number’s Up - Scream
More fun facts!
Aside from INK, Spencer also has a clothing company, Kleaver Klothing, which if they haven’t moved sites again, is at salem666.com
Last Year on their Summer tour they were supposed to play a show at a venue in Orlando, Florida that is on the grounds of Disney World. At the last minute Disney canceled their show because they’re performance was deemed “too violent” for a family park, despite the show already being 18+. In retaliation, the band released a series of limited edition merchandise featuring classic Disney characters as slasher villains, most notably Mickey Mouse as Freddy Kruger. They literally all sold out. I really should have got one when I had the chance
I own more pieces of Ice Nine Kills merch than literally any other piece of media I have ever consumed, including:
3 t shirts
2 tank tops
1 Letterman jacket
1 CD
2 vinyls
1 Kleaver t shirt (that I’m wearing right now)
1 poster
And a red balloon and paper boat from the IT Is The End music video promotion, (the boat is currently serving as a jewelry dish on my vanity)
I’ve seen them twice, Warped Tour 2016 and Warped Tour 2018, both times I met Spencer after the set and despite the whole scary act the band puts on during the shows, he’s very genuine and always really sweet to his fans. Enjoy these fetus pictures of me meeting him at 14 and 16 y/o
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The lyric sheet for The Silver Scream is formatted like a spec script with action lines, scene headings, and inter-scene cuts, which screenwriting student me really, really enjoys
I got distracted while writing this because Patrick went live on Instagram, oops. He was setting up his new kit for the show tonight, it looks really cool, they’re painted to look like popcorn buckets
So that’s about it! Thank you for reading and enjoy the music!

.゚۪ ♡ ۫  ...     PRE-RELEASE SINGLE - DRAMA!
Tumblr media
DRAMA is one of two pre-release singles for VENUS' fourth full studio album. DRAMA will be promoted for TWO WEEKS until the next single is released.
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  ...     MUSIC VIDEO AESTHETICS.
The DRAMA music video received 45 MILLION VIEWS in 24 hours and would remain number one on the Youtube trending page for 6 days. The video follows the girls through a technicolored cyberspace as they fight against a virus only known as "DRAMA" which is depicted as a dark and rapid-moving shadow.
Tumblr media
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  ...     DRAMA LINE DISTRIBUTION.
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  … BAEBI = 28.20 SECONDS
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  … BLISS = 19.26 SECONDS
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  …  CHLOE = 49.15 SECONDS
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  … SENA = 17.29 SECONDS
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  … JIAH = 38.12 SECONDS
Tumblr media
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  ...     PROMOTIONAL HIGHLIGHTS.
The girls were promoting DRAMA consistently for two weeks. For a solid two weeks, the girls were at music shows or other schedules promoting their upcoming album, which they revealed the name of at the end of their promotional period for DRAMA.
The album is called "VENUS VICTRIX" and will have 11 tracks. The creative direction for the album will be handled by long-time VENUS creative director Adrian Reyes. This differs from their last comeback, Burn The Witch, which was fully controlled by Venus themselves. While on Knowing Brothers, Chloe admits the girls experienced a lot of stress from handling all aspects of the album. "It was too much. We would be up until 5 AM almost every night trying to get everything to work, and we agreed that for this album, we want more rest!" which earned laughs from the hosts and from fans alike.
During an episode of "Visting Venus," they had Adrian come on to explain the lore of the album to them in a classroom-like setting with the girls at desks and him at a chalkboard, pointing with a stick and aggressively writing with a red piece of chalk.
"It's basically, like, Venus' Victory. The girls are trapped in a harsh cyber world but manage to break out and transform the landscape into something habitable," Adrian would explain, drawing a loosely thrown-together professor-esque outfit and round specs. Klara, drawing a school uniform and thick-rimmed classes, would raise her hand. "And how will we break out from this world?" "Easy," Adrian starts, pulling down a projector screen that has three big words on it in comic sans font, "Dance, music, and friendship."
The video was a massive hit with fans and had them on the edge of their seats waiting for the album's release.
Though they gave it their all at every performance, it was clear the girls were tired and being overworked. In most vlogs, you'd often see members sleeping on one another during their breaks at music shows or expressing how sore they were from all the performing they were doing. The Venus members, with the exception of Klara, would assure fans they were fine and liked working especially. Klara, however, would go on to post a singular mirror selfie of herself at 3 AM on her Instagram story with the caption, "just got back. can't wait for my powernap before i have to go back lol" but the story was quickly deleted and followed by a video of the maknae laughing and apologizing.
"That was meant for my close friend. My bad, my bad! Stop worrying. I'm just complaining! I swear to God if y'all mass email Flowerbank I'll have a tantrum. Don't worry about me!"
While this moment went viral on stan Twitter, constellations couldn't help but to worry for the girls. However, their worries were seemingly quelled once they got another stage of DRAMA to entertain them.
Tumblr media
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  ...     LOOK BOOK.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
.゚۪ ♡ ۫  … LEFT 2 RIGHT: BLISS, BAEBI, CHLOE, SENA, AND JIAH
The girls wore wigs during their promotions, concealing their actual hair colors. While sometimes the wigs looked natural, especially Sena and Jiah's, there were times when the wigs looked straight from Party City. Due to their status in the industry, people called this style choice "camp" and praised them for it.

.゚۪ ♡ ۫     PULL THE TRIGGER (AGAIN) ... BAEBI'S SECOND FULL ALBUM !
PULL THE TRIGGER (AGAIN) is Baebi's second full album, and is entirely written by her. With a track list of ten songs, Baebi performed the title tracks "BAEBI'S REVENGE" and "Wicked" for a total of four weeks across various music shows and concert appearances. Baebi's Revenge would go on to win seven music show awards, and Wicked would earn four.
Tumblr media
The album's commercial success was nothing short of astounding. On its very first day of release, "Pull the Trigger (Again)" sold over 2.1 million copies, a testament to Baebi's immense popularity and fan base. This momentum continued as the album went on to sell a remarkable 5.2 million copies overall, solidifying Baebi's position as one of the most influential artists of her generation.
Two of the album's title tracks, "Wicked" and "Baebi's Revenge," played a pivotal role in its success. Both songs went viral across various social media platforms. "Baebi's Revenge" achieved an extraordinary feat by sitting at the number one spot on the Gaon chart for a remarkable 34 days. This achievement, however, would be short-lived as "Wicked" stormed into the top ten, eventually replacing "Baebi's Revenge." at number one for a whopping 41 days until falling into the top ten.
While the album's popularity was undeniable, it was not without its fair share of controversy. Critics and some members of the public raised concerns about the insensitivity of the album's title, "Pull the Trigger (Again)," particularly in light of the recent suicide of Baebi's former CEO, Son Jinhwa. Baebi had just won a controversial court battle against Son Jinhwa over the ownership of the Baebi brand, leading to accusations that the album's title could be interpreted as a reference to the tragic event. This controversy sparked a significant debate about the responsibilities of artists in their choice of album titles and content.
Despite the controversy surrounding the album's title, "Pull the Trigger (Again)" was widely praised for its lyrical depth and the personal growth Baebi displayed throughout the record. Critics lauded the introspective and mature themes explored in the album, as well as the evolution of Baebi's artistry. Her music was described as more emotionally resonant and thought-provoking than ever before, earning her respect as a genuine artist who was unafraid to tackle complex subject matter.

youtube
Baebi's second full album, "PULL THE TRIGGER (AGAIN)," holds a total of TEN tracks, all written by her. Though she wrote all of the album, she had the help of her friends and colleagues to produce the album. Bliss and Chloe of VENUS are prominent names on the producers' roster as well as notable Ideal Music producers CLOSURE and Jellib's Chaeryeong.

OO1. The promo for this album was insane. You couldn't go anywhere without seeing Baebi somewhere. She was on billboards, she was on TV, she was on the radio, she was on the computer–Anywhere Flowerbank could promote this album, she was there. Notably, her most well-promoted solo project, which fans were very happy about as they felt she was being held back under her previous company.
OO2. Baebi also did a few international promotions! She performed on The Kelly Clarkson Show, which caused a lot of cute interactions! She performed Wicked and taught Kelly a bit of the choreography. During her interview, she would talk about the album-making process and how cathartic it was for her. "I put my whole heart into these songs. This album is like my baby!" Yoonah would explain while laughing, earning laughs from Kelly and the crowd. Her English had notably improved since the last time she had been promoted in America. She also performed Baebi's Revenge on GMA!
OO3. While in America, she had a lot of cute interactions with fans. There was a pop-up event at a boba shop for her organized by fans. When Baebi learned of the event, she showed up to thank the fans and hang out with the fans. She took a few pictures, made some tiktoks, and signed some autographs before she had to leave due to the shop becoming overcrowded. Still, she calls this one of her favorite memories of being in America.
OO3. She did a short promotion in Japan, performing Japanese versions of Wicked and Baebi's Revenge on Music Station. She did a few interviews and variety shows while in Japan but mainly spent most of her time visiting her friend, Akiko, who was seen in many fan-taken videos and pictures with her. She has not yet released the official Japanese versions of the songs but promises she will soon.
OO4. Music shows were so fun for her! She did Tiktoks with everyone who asked, no matter their popularity. It was joked about on Twitter that idols were lining up out the door of Inkigayo to film a video with her. She was shown a lot of love by her peers, staff, and fans. Her dressing room was filled to the brim with flowers and gifts from staff and fellow idols, congratulating her on her comeback's success. Some of the most notable collabs would be with Karina and Ningning of Aespa, Yeri of Red Velvet, Xiaoting of Kepler, Xiaojun of Wayv, and Yoomi of Lunarix, causing their fandoms to burst into flames. Some people thought the collaboration would end the fandom's feud, but it only seemed to make it worse somehow.
OO5. During her behind-the-scenes documentary, she opened up about the trial and events that followed after it. "I had to grieve. I had a lot to let go of and move on from. None of it was easy for anyone, but I always remind myself that none of it was my fault. I had no control over a lot of it. Even now, with it all over, it feels like I have no control. People still spread rumors; they still think his death was my fault, and I can't change that. I just have to come to peace with that because I know the truth. They don't." The documentary also showed how emotional she would get while recording certain songs on the album. Some fans felt this was a bit too raw of a look at Baebi, but she would go on to say she approved of every scene included in the documentary.
OO6. The VENUS girls were very supportive of their leader and would often be seen by her side at every music show performance and attending nearly every one of her showcases. Chloe would end up buying Baebi the most flowers, buying her a total of 43 bouquets by the end of Baebi's promotions. The girls would also participate in the Baebi challenge on their group's TikTok to show their support for their leader.
OO7. Some people weren't too fond of how open Yoonah was about the meaning of the title of her album. During an appearance on a notable drinking show, she confirms the title is about Jinhwa, saying; "Yeah, I'm telling him to kill himself again. I think I earned the right to do that." and would take another shot as the host laughed loudly at her honesty. She was often called "insensitive" and even "cruel" for making light of something so serious, but she didn't care too much for the criticisms, though it was clear they irritated her.
OO8. Baebi was also criticized for how often she publicly interacted with her boyfriend, Kang Juwon. Baebi would perform a "Rock Version" of both Wicked and Baebi's Revenge, which would be a collaboration with Bones and All (@scrfiice). Constellations would go on to harass the members of BNA for "using Baebi for clout," while Osseites would go on to harass Baebi for "shoving her relationship in their faces," which wasn't the outcome both parties had hoped for. Due to rising tensions between fandoms, Baebi slowly stopped posting with Juwon while Juwon continued to support her on his Instagram, turning the comments off on any post that related to her.
OO9. This didn't mark the end of Baebi's interactions with Bones And All members, though! Cherry and Wei would star in her music video for "Let Me Fall In Love" alongside her and Sena. Cherry would often be seen leaving sweet comments on Baebi's and other Venus members' posts. It was clear that Baebi and Cherry grew close during this time.
O10. For every encore stage, she would perform with her dancers or with a VENUS member, as she didn't like being on stage alone. This seems to be a long-running tradition with the Venus members who promote solo. Netizens would go on to praise Baebi for her stable live vocals during every encore stage.
O11. Baebi would have a showcase for her new album where over 25,000 fans attended. Ten thousand were there in person while 15,000 were watching digitally. Baebi would give an emotional thank you to her fans, saying: "Thank you so much for waiting for Baebi to come back. I know it's been a really hard and long journey to show you this side of me again but...I'm just so glad to have you all here, in person or through the internet–Haha! I'm so glad we can come together again and I can be Baebi again. It's such an honor to be your Baebi." As well as performing a majority of the songs on her album, she also performed a few of her classics such as Bubble Pop, marking this the first time in two years she's performed the song, and Gashina, marking this the first time in three years she's performed the song, which made old and new fans very happy! It was a very happy and joyful experience for everyone invovled.
O12. Though a very long and exhausting era, Baebi would prove herself to still be the that girl and one of if not the most influential female solo acts in Kpop. Plus, she's nowhere near done yet!

—  ERA HIGHLIGHTS!
Back in their “critically acclaimed” Era!
Officially, Adrian Reyes was reinstated as their creative director and producer. Unlike while they were at Angelico, he helps the girls achieve their creative vision and they work more as a Team than him being in full control.
Though constellations were fearful of this decision…Clearly worked out. This album was a hit!
BURN THE WITCH came out with six concept films. One featuring all five of them and the other five focusing on individual members. Telling the connecting story of five witches on the run from five separate witch hunts.
The films were praised online for their quality and messaging in them. Many liked the establishment of lore for Venus, something they lacked throughout the years.
Flowerbank is known for giving everyone a storyline and connecting all their artists through lore. Everyone is figuring out how VENUS connects to Allume and other Flowerbank groups. There are hour long videos about it on Youtube.
The world is finally healing because OT5 finally performed together again 🙌🏻
The showcase concert for BURN THE WITCH was emotional despite the girls trying to keep the mood light. They were all just so excited to perform together again, it was very emotional for everyone.
They sang all their encore stages with no struggle. We love singers!
Their encore stages always went viral for one reason or another. Between the girls getting emotional, throwing ass, their stable vocals, or bringing on their idol friends/Constellations favorite milfs.
While fans were weary of Flowerbank (never trust a company) they really appreciate the bond between Venus and the CEOs, Iseul and Carmen. They seem to be very supportive of the girls and like they'll take good care of them in the future.
Yoonah had two toned hair, blond and black, that would late be dyed black.
Aki had black hair as usual.
Sena started out the era with brown hair but would later go blond.
Jiah was bleach blond at the start of the era but later turned ashy grey.
And Chloe had dark brown hair throughout the whole era.
It was a bit jarring how active the girls suddenly became because of how inactive they were last year but constellations ate up all the updates and youtube content.
The girls were on every variety show you could imagine and were uploading vlogs every day.
Don't even get me started on their Tiktok...Their tiktok was updated HOURLY when they were at music shows it was ridiculous. You could not go anywhere without seeing a VENUS girl even on your fave's account, they're probably there doing a dance challenge.
Yoonah choreographed all the dances which she was really excited and happy to do. She's so happy to be dancing again.
Still no explanation as to why she was missing for a year but constellations have come to peace with the fact she'll probably never tell anyone why for personal reasons or out of fear of Angelico.
Angelico's stocks dropped after this album was released 😊
This album was truly a rebirth for VENUS, with many calling it the second generation of VENUS. BURN THE WITCH is wildly regarded as VENUS' best piece of work, solidifying them as 'untouchable' artists in the music realm.

––  she did it yall...she survived being locked in the basement for a full year!!
––   this was an EVENT! the second it was announced that knock was yoonah's solo the views SKYROCKETED, everyone was attending!
––  yoonah's knock MV has the most views garnered in 24 hours in flowerbank history! she's only been there a month and is breaking records.
––  it was obvious yoonah was really excited to get back to work. she went live every night, her starpetal account was thriving for the first time since it was activated, she was doing tiktoks with anyone who wanted her to. she truly was everywhere she could and wanted to be.
––  knock did phenomenally. no shock!
–– everyone was on the edge of their seat on who'd they see doing the knock choreography with yoonah next because everyone and their mothers were doing it with her
––  a few of the most notable faces doing the knock choreography with yoonah were: xiaojun of wayv, former member nakyung, flowerbank's CEOS (this one went ridiculously viral), soyeon of g-idle, youngjae of got7, deepdive's finn and kiwoo, stray kids' lee know and felix, itzy's yeji, and, of course, all the venus girls!
––  during a fanmeet, yoonah announced that she styled herself for this comeback, a first in her career. she also said she was very excited to wear pretty dresses that she got to pick out herself.
––  every encore stage she had her girls with her! she didn't want it any other way!
––  she choreographed the song herself and is very proud of it. she said she had a lot of time to perfect her craft during her hiatus and is grateful for it as it paid off.
––  when asked why she doesn't go by "baebi" yoonah got a little emotional, telling people she didn't own the copyright to the baebi brand nor the masters to her discography. while flowerbank is still working on obtaining the masters and copyright to her stage name, yoonah didn't want to hold the comeback back.
––  "#FREEBAEBI" trended after this revelation and "WHAT'S HIS ISSUE" which people believe is about son jinhwa, venus' former ceo.
––  despite not being baebi this comeback, yoonah has never been happier! you can never take down the it girl!
––  overall, she had a GREAT time and the release did AMAZING! it was so refreshing to see yoonah doing what she loves again.

–– no one was expecting this kind of sound from aki, like, literally no one saw this coming especially seeing what her solo debut mini sounded like.
–– when fans voiced their surprise, aki explained that she wanted to show people she was versatile and could do whatever concept or genre she wants.
–– she says her inspiration for this release was city pop and "pure pop princesses" like IU, Ayumi Hamasaki, Yukika, and Taeyeon. she brought up how she adored their aesthetics and vocal talents and tried to emulate that with her performances.
–– she wrote and produced all the songs herself.
–– she said she wrote celebrity while thinking about yoonah which fans ate up especially yooki shippers who have been starved for over a year at this point.
–– during her encore stages, she only did one by herself. she'd drag on the venus girls or keep her backup dancers on stage so she wouldn't be alone.
–– yoonah came out on stage once but not the other times. aki said that she was scared to take the attention away from her.
–– chloe helped pick her wardrobe out as she was pretty lost in fashion department seeing she usually wears dark and baggy clothes lol
–– her makeup was all fifties inspired. usually, she either had on blue eyeshadow or a warm green. yoonah was typically the one doing her makeup as she was seen doing it in multiple vlogs.
–– oh, this girl vlogged like crazy. they were dropping a new aki vlog every DAY!
–– the song went viral especially in korea due to how often it was being played...literally everywhere like they were eating this song UP!
–– even her bside was going viral. aki made some certified HITS with this single.
–– lots of interactions with any idol who wanted to do the celebrity challenge with her which was A LOT. she was literally all over tiktok. no matter who you stanned, there would be aki on their tiktok page doing a silly lil dance.
–– overall, she had a great time. she really shined as an artist and performer this era, clearly cleaning up her dancing and vocals over their break. constellations were very happy to see their underrated member finally get some love from the gp <3

VENUS’ THIRD FULL ALBUM  “ BURN THE WITCH ” TRACK SAMPLER !
The long-awaited moment has arrived - the wait is finally over! VENUS has unveiled their highly anticipated third album, titled "BURN THE WITCH" comprising an impressive total of fifteen tracks.
This album surpasses their previous ones in terms of length, almost doubling the number of songs featured. What's even more exciting is that "BURN THE WITCH" marks their official group release under FlowerBank Entertainment.
For this comeback, the girls have taken significant creative control, with each member involved in producing and writing songs on the album.
Tumblr media
In a genre that thrives on the balance between fierce energy and delicate harmony, VENUS, the dynamic girl group under FlowerBank Entertainment, has taken their artistry to breathtaking new heights with their third studio album, "BURN THE WITCH." With a collection of fifteen meticulously crafted tracks, including the poppy and sentimental title track "Forever Us," VENUS not only exceeds expectations but shatters them, cementing their position as a force to be reckoned with in the K-pop landscape.
From the opening notes of the intro track, "INTRO: I AM THE WITCH AT THE STAKE" it becomes abundantly clear that VENUS is on a mission to captivate their listeners. A blistering fusion of pulsating EDM beats and electrifying vocal performances, the song sets the tone for the entire album. The members' collective prowess shines through as they navigate the track's dynamic shifts, effortlessly transitioning between velvety harmonies to firey verses. It's an adrenaline-fueled anthem that demands attention from the very first listen.
"Forever Us," serves as the heartwarming centerpiece of the album. This delightful pop gem exudes radiant energy, thanks to its infectious hooks and the endearing lyrics that speak to the unbreakable bond shared between the members of VENUS. Through sweet, heartfelt lines about their unwavering love for one another, the song encapsulates the essence of sisterhood and friendship that has been an integral part of their journey.
What sets "BURN THE WITCH" apart from their previous releases is the remarkable level of creative control the girls have taken. Each member's artistic contributions shine throughout the album, showcasing their growth as musicians and songwriters. From introspective ballads like "Your Poison" to the infectious pop banger "Blow A Kiss" VENUS effortlessly traverses various genres, all while staying true to their signature sound.
The album's production deserves special recognition, as it seamlessly blends modern K-pop aesthetics with unexpected sonic elements. "The Body Of Eve," a standout track that oozes sensuality, pairs atmospheric synth layers with hypnotic percussion, creating an irresistible and immersive sonic landscape. Meanwhile, "Pretty Me" takes a bold step into the realm of pop punk, reminiscent of a Disney original track from the 2000's.
Despite its ambitious length, "BURN THE WITCH" remains a cohesive body of work. Each song seamlessly transitions into the next, forming a captivating narrative that keeps the listener engaged from start to finish. VENUS explores themes of empowerment, self-discovery, and resilience, delving into the complexities of modern life with a refreshing honesty that resonates deeply.
"BURN THE WITCH" marks a pivotal moment in VENUS' career, solidifying their place as visionary artists pushing the boundaries of K-pop. With their soaring vocals, impeccable production, and unwavering commitment to artistic integrity, VENUS has not only met expectations but exceeded them with a resounding fervor. This album serves as a testament to their growth, artistry, and unwavering dedication to their craft. VENUS has truly set the stage ablaze, leaving an indelible mark on the K-pop landscape with "BURN THE WITCH."

—  ERA HIGHLIGHTS!
–– oh the girls at this UP!
–– chloe's solos have always done well so no one was really surprised that eclipse did well but they were surprised with the sound she decided to go with this comeback.
–– it's more mature than she usually does but chloe would go on to clarify she wasn't making the music she wanted to under angelico. when asked if she still had the rights to her solo discography, she revealed that her and yoonah are in the same boat as she doesn't have the rights to her former music as well.
–– chloe didn't seem as distraught about it as yoonah did, simply saying: "it is what it is. i'll get it back eventually."
–– stan twitter was kind of tearing her up for her stage outfits lol she usually styles herself but said she didn't get to do that this era.
–– chloe produced and wrote both of the songs on the single. she composed haunted and even played the guitar herself for the track.
–– she was finally able to show off her talents when it came to instruments during her fan meets playing the guitar, kazoo, and piano for her fans just for fun.
–– she only did one encore stage alone. she made the venus girls come on stage with her for the other three.
–– everyone loved the physical packaging for this album, quickly making it a need for kpop album collectors everywhere!
–– she didn't vlog as much as the other girls did. she only did two and apologized for the lack of content, explaining that it's been a while since she's promoted like this and she's been too sleepy to vlog.
–– which was backed up by all the girls posting pictures of chloe asleep in various locations lol
–– great release by a great girl! it got fans really excited for the album to finally drop! only 2 more weeks!

🔥   ۫   ⊱   RED ALERT was the fourth Japanese EP of the Korean girl group, VENUS, released by ANGELICO Entertainment. It’s available digitally and physically and has FOUR tracks with “FIRE TRUCK” being its title track. VENUS promoted the album for four weeks during which they performed each track on the album at least once.
Notably, Baebi was missing from these promotions, allegedly still on hiatus. The girls were promoted heavily in Japan, attending various variety shows and music shows, filming numerous vlogs, and reality show content. They held three fan meetings in Japan as well as multiple concerts around the country.

🔥   ۫   ⊱   ERA HIGHLIGHTS!
This era was just full of problems. Literally, so many problems.
Notably their last release under Angelico, many believe this only happened to get them out of the public eye in Korea due to the whole "Baebi is missing" controversy.
Their fans in Japan cared that Yoonah was missing but pulsars  (japaneses constellations sub-fandom name) are mainly there for Aki and Jiah.
This album did well in Japan and even made some noise in Korea and America but that's just because it's VENUS. Twitter was pretty brutal to Firetruck and was trashing the producer left and right lol
Many fans speculate the songs used for the album were just laying around because this release was RUSHED. It was announced one week then out the next, like, the planning was very poor.
There was a lot of controversy with the physical albums themselves. Many fans complained that the quality was really poor and the photobooks were falling apart.
Oh...The Photobooks...
Slumber Party Version caused a lot of upset among fans due to how provocative the photos were. The girls were in lingerie and posing on beds like it was lot. It was clear who Angelico was trying to pander to and constellations DIDN'T like that.
"Our photobooks caused quite a stir," Jiah would say at a concert in Oaska, trying to keep the mood lighthearted. "I told them it wasn't a good idea. The thought of people having pictures of us like that doesn't make me happy." She would go on to say, causing more upset with fans.
Beach version was no better despite its cute cover photo. It was truly like getting a copy of sports illustrated.
Jinhwa was already disliked by constellations at this point but now they wanted his head on a stick like-
Yoonah wasn't brought up once by literally anyone. It would later be revealed that fans who attended the concerts and fan meetings were not allowed to ask about her and if they did they'd be removed from the venue.
Not suspicious at all.
The reality show "V4: Kyoto n' Tokyo" was very cute though! A lot of fans enjoyed watching the girls explore Japan. It was very sweet and light-hearted.
Sena vlogged the most out of the girls, keeping the group's Youtube alive with daily uploads.
Many fans wished this didn't happen, I'll be honest lmao it was very clear what was going on and they didn't appreciate the company doing this. They attempted to boycott but it did very little seeing it was a Japanese release, it really didn't matter if a constellation from Missouri wasn't buying the album.
Red alert is often written off by fans and many don't acknowledge its existence.

—  ERA HIGHLIGHTS!
–– you know, some songs are just made for specific audiences and this one...was def for a certain audience!
–– as the fans would say: "she was in it for the arts. not the charts."
–– it was a divisive release. some people loved it, some people hated it, but everyone loved her styling and the bright concept.
–– a lot of people wished she had the b-side "Make Up Ur Mind" as the title track because it showcased her vocal talent more than nabillera.
–– oh the debate on twitter over this song was UNBEARABLE!
–– it was obvious jiah had a great time performing this on music shows. she was either smiling the whole time or had this glow she hasn't had in years.
–– her second encore stage went viral for her and chloe's live vocals. those are SINGERS! they SING!
–– chloe was the stylist for nabillera and did jiah's makeup for her stages and even the music video.
–– everyone was shocked to see a familiar name as the producer...former creative director, adrian reyes. then suddenly, it all made sense.
–– the song was just so distinctly noisy that the only person behind it could be adrian.
–– while this era was kind of a mess for constellations, emotions were just everywhere, it was very fun because everyone was SO happy. you could not take a picture of the venus girls during this week without them beaming, everyone was just so happy.
–– jiah wasn't really active on social media during this time but that's nothing new. she hasn't been as active as her groupmates since debut.
–– know where she was active though? TIKTOK! that girl was collaborating with everything who had a phone and having the time of her life. venus' lil social butterfly!
–– she did go live once or twice and had a good time answering constellations questions and talking to them! even gave a spoiler to the comeback which made constellations go wild.
–– though this release wasn't for everyone, it was fun for the girls, especially jiah, and the fans were well-fed! everyone is super excited for the album to drop next week!

—  ERA HIGHLIGHTS !
– this was a long time coming for constellations and brites. they’ve been waiting for this collab since angelico bought vivid’s contract.
– the name “starbrite” comes from the two groups’ fandom names, constellations and brites.
– the album was highly praised by netzens and fans for being the “perfect christmas album” saying every song on the album gave them a warm and christmasy feeling.
– three tracks got music videos: Beautiful Christmas, Heart Attack, and Hula Hoop!
– Mr.Santa also got a music video but it was a “homemade” one shot by the girls themselves.
– Beautiful Christmas broke 20 million view in 24 hours while Heart Attack reached 15 million and Hula Hoop 14 million!
– the girls did several vlogs together and had a short reality show series that last fouor episodes where they were split into pairs and had to find secret santa gifts for one another. it was very fun and cute! fans really enjoyed seeing the girls interact as they all have a good relationship with each other.
– angelico was vague if the project would continue after these promotion but said “the door is open” when asked about future projects for starbrite.
