She happily strolls up to him and handing him a matching mug of hot chocolate with a big smile.

Well... This was embarrassing.

Lukhege's cheeks flushed red. Slowly, he lowered the two mugs in his own hands alongside his gaze. It seemed they were a bit too much in the same train of mind — In his hand was a small, modest wooden cup as well, a trail of steam coming out from the top.

"......" Lukhege gave a single nod of acknowledgement. If Daffy were to look much closer, it was certain she’d see the usual spaced out look he got in his eyes when he got too embarrassed. Luke turned his head away, took a breath, and closed his eyes for a short moment before finally speaking - His gaze still somewhat averted. “... I was looking for you. I thought this would have taken the chill off...” He motioned half-heartedly to the cup in his hands with his head. He seemed to grow less mollified as he went on, fortunately, gradually managing to redirect his gaze back onto her. “It’s a winter specialty from our village. For celebration. We take all what’s left of our preserved berries and gather cloves for the winter to heat over the fire to warm ourselves. Cloves are always difficult to find, but there wasn’t even much of the berries to be made this year. Everything seemed to rot so quickly...” He sighed, then offered a polite smile. “... I did manage to make a cup for you - If you would like. There is little there, so you don’t need to worry yourself about chilling your own drink, either.” A pause. Lukhege gently accepted the offered mug from her hands and peered inside while holding his hand out in offer of his own drink towards Daffy. “... What is this...?” The colour and texture looked like some sort of thick, brown mud. The white, gooey-looking toppings strewn about it also suggested some kind of deep-run rot, too... Lukhege’s throat grew tight. His nose couldn’t help but scrunch a bit at the thought - Was this even safe? Perhaps a bit hesitantly, he craned his head down and took a sniff. “...” It smelled sweet, and almost to a sickly extent he never recalled having sensed before. Whether that was a positive or negative to his own worries, he couldn’t say, yet... He didn’t know how to explain it, but it didn’t smell dangerous. The cup lifted, lowered a bit, and finally, he took a gulp. “... U-Ugh!?” Was it regret that had slapped him across the face just then? Or possibly bliss? Lukhege’s whole body shuddered, his shoulders jerking a bit as he held back the urge to puke. “It... This is...!!” There was no denying it tasted good, but... Why in the name of the Gods was it so sweet!? Another small lurch of his body, the boy forcibly swallowing back the bile that rose in his throat through all the oncoming nausea. Luke struggled to regain his composure, taking several deep breaths through tightly shut eyes until he finally felt some semblance of human again. He didn’t want Daffodil to get the wrong idea, but... Almost immediately he straightened up, managing a somewhat humoured, awkward smile to ward off the tension as he tried to speak. “...A little hot, nothing more.”
