Easton blamed it all on the army. For years, he had known Paige was interested in him and every time the topic would come up due to mutual friends not-so-casually mentioning it, he'd always say he didn't feel the same way for her, but he was lying. He did feel some type of way but with his job... he feared she'd grow tired of waiting for him to come home just for a few weeks at a time.
So, after being medically discharged from the army, he went home. And to his surprise there was a letter inviting him to Paige's wedding; his heart sank and he immediately went to her home, asking her out to a diner far enough from where they both lived so no one could see them together.
Sitting on a booth, he practically had her against the wall as they talked, "you can't marry him, baby," he whispered whilst he gently pressed kisses to the side of her neck while his fingers played with a strand of her hair. "You don't love him."
ship partners i want to apologize in advance for i am about to be an angst menace about ghost lee holding his atoms together just long enough to say goodbye and he can't touch them or comfort them all he can do is say goodbye in his final, final moments before what remains of him dissolves :)

The man introduced himself as Franz Von Trier, the patriarch of the Von Trier family. Franz said that he and his sons have been so fortunate to have the support of the entire Back Mountain area as they packed the Anderson Sports and Health Center at Misericordia University in downtown Dallas, Pennsylvania every week for the last twenty years. As the camera zoomed in on a lovely ranch home over his shoulder, Franz said these next few weeks he'll be introducing his boys, his wife Dottie, and the entire Von Trier family to the fans of COal REgion Pro-Wrestling.

Then we saw Kerry Morton menacing then CORE matchmaker Sad Badd at the Bloomsburg Fair about young talent not being booked. Next was a clip of Kerry Morton, Nick Wayne, Starboy Charlie, Marcus Mathers, Brogan Finlay, Billie Starkz, and Kenzie Paige attacking Christopher Daniels and Ultimo Dragon after their Senior Division match. Highlights of their 5-on-5 elimination match at Thanksgiving Tussle ’22 aired next. A clip from Co-Op Weekend where the group attacked and bloodied Sheepherder Luke and Mike Jackson aired in black-and-white.
- After the conclusion of the video package, Prince Nana appeared on screen for the first edition of his new interview show, The Throne Room. Nana welcomed his guests, Starboy Charlie, Marcus Mathers, and Brogan Finlay, to the set. The three detailed their frustrations with trying to push wrestling forward when promoters and fans always looked to the past. They discussed their issues with CORE creating an entire division solely to prolong the careers of the already over the hill wrestlers. They touched on the negative effects of putting microphones in front of sad, geriatric retreads that belittle and criticize young talent. Prince Nana mentioned that all great factions in wrestling need a name, legendary groups like The Embassy or The Mogul Embassy all had iconic names, Nana wanted to know what their name was. The three admitted they hadn’t yet settled on a name, that they had been more focused on action than messaging, but now that they have established themselves and buried the fossils, they are open to suggestions. Prince Nana encouraged the fools at home to write in with their suggestions and a P.O. Box flashed on the screen.

Daphne said the main event has already been signed as Titus Alexander, who we saw earlier in the show, will be taking on Kerry Morton. The show will also see the debut of the folkstyle faction of Shaw Mason, Hunter Holdcraft, and Tim Bosby in a six-man tag match. Oz next confirmed reports that CM Punk had been present at the recent CORE tapings at Dorney Park to visit friends. Daphne Oz moved on to rumors that Ari Daivari's TrustBusters organization were looking to form a reserve team on the independent circuit, and said that the CORE booking office had recently received a video from the TrustBusters that addressed this topic.
- A video aired which showed TrustBusters member and butler JeeVeS K as he finished fluffing the pillows on an immaculately made California king bed inside a lavish master bedroom. JeeVeS K said that at the behest of Ari Daivari, he is preparing these "barracks" for the TrustBusters Reserve, an elite group of independent professional wrestlers that will be standing by should the TrustBusters need to bolster their manpower as they continue to grow and expand. JeeVeS K said that the first group will be arriving momentarily, and after a month of intense training in the finest facilities in the world, the TrustBusters Reserve will make their debut in CORE this summer.
SEGMENT FIVE (EIGHT MINUTES)
Something/Nothing: (Jake Something and Vincent Nothing) with UltraMantis Black vs. Trace Parker and Tom Mitchell
Something/Nothing defeated Trace Parker and Tom Mitchell with the Sitout Powerbomb from Something on Mitchell (5:13)
- During an instant replay of the match, Larry Zbyszko asked the audience to indulge him for a minute and called for the camera to cut to the announce desk. Zbyszko talked about the not so veiled shot Starboy Charlie, Marcus Mathers, and Brogan Finlay took at him. Zbyszko warned Finlay that his father in his prime couldn’t beat Zbyszko, and that Brogan is literally half the man his father was. Zbyszko said he had a suggestion for a name for the faction, how about The Born Losers?

This article's title A Navy Corpsman is left to fight on the home front by himself.
Here is a story about how an asshole lie on social media platforms has had
a persistently negative impact on my children's and my daily lives that everyone should be aware of. This is where it all starts. I joined the navy air reserve on March 22, 1999, in the state of Florida, and I took an oath to defend and guard this nation. I was deployed to Mobile Inshore Undersea Warfare Unit 207, a force protection unit headquartered LoLat Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, not long after taking my oath. At the time, the unit's commander was Commander Kevin Paige. I started boot camp at RTC Great Lakes Division 001 on October 5, 2000. As a naval hospital corpsman, I transferred from MIUW 207 to Naval Reserve hospital Jax 108 at Naval Air Station Jax, Florida, on December 5, 2001. I transferred from Naval Reserve Hospital 108 to USS BOONE FFG 28, which is based at Naval Air Station Mayport, Florida, on February 15, 2004. I was activated in 2006 and again in 2008 throughout my time in the military. I received an honorable discharge from the naval air reserve. I
moved from Jacksonville, Florida, to Denver, Colorado, in 2014. I lost my job soon after moving to Colorado and soon kafter that spent some time living at the Broadway Motel. I moved to the Kings Inn Motel about two years later due to my financial situation, and I started working for Dough House whenever he had work available. If not, I would find work through a variety of temp agencies, such as Staff Zone, Ready Man, and Nationwide Temp Agency, to be able to pay for my daily rent.
On June 06 2017 Denver post published an article about the Kings Inn Motel. Visit
Denverpost.com/2017/06/06/king inn aurora-eviction-rent to read the article. The motel was renamed the Summit View Inn Motel not long after the article was published. On March 24, 2020, The Denver Post published an article about the Summit View Inn. visit for the article at https://www.denverpost.com/2020/03/24/evictions-homeless-coronavirus-aurora-colorado

In the photograph, I'm the black man. Management kicked us off the property after the article was published, and the motel staff destroyed all of our personal items, leaving us with nothing except the clothes on our backs. Then we moved into the Radiant inn motel while I continued working through the temp agency and paying 370 a week for rent. A major incident that occurred in 2022 completely altered my existence and tore my world apart. In Jacksonville, Florida, my father Willie Taylor Jr., a US Marine, passed suddenly. I went to his funeral in Jacksonville while still making motel payments on my room at the Radiant Inn. For several months I suffered from depression . I left the Radiant Inn Motel in the early months of 2023 because the room was full of mice. I killed eight mice inside of the motel room during the course of a 24-hour period. When I was homeless and short on cash one day, I held a sign asking for assistance in getting a hotel room. My VA ID card was shown on the sign's front. After that, some asshole uploaded a picture of me to the internet with the phrase "fake veteran" that's when my nightmare started. Several Colorado residents tried to spit at me after that lie was posted online, and some just verbally harassed me. Others would look at me and mock me as if it were funny to them. These lies hindered me from gaining permanent employment. I started revocating Dough House rental property in April 2023 in exchange for short-term housing. I was forced to leave the property once the renovations were done. I currently pay 70 a day for a motel room at the Wolf Hotel where I currently reside.
When this first occurred, I initially believed thAt happene to me was a rare incidence until I met with numerous other veterans who had also experienced the same thing . It is crystal clear that someone is out there spreading lies online and having to face any consequences for the harm they have caused. This injustice toward our veterans needs to end, but it won't unless we up as a group and declare that enough is enough and that this kind of treatment of our veterans is unacceptable. Some person is Utilizing social media to disseminate lies about us veterans has a significant negative impact on our lives. Because it doesn't directly affect their lives, the majority of people don't care about the injustice being done to us veterans, and some people just want to believe everything they read online is accurate, even though that isn't the case, which is why we are currently in this situation. Before passing judgment on someone based solely on what they read online people shouid do their own investigation of the truth. You may have made a huge mistake in your judgment of a person because of a lie or inaccurate information that you have been provided . If you're the kind of person who wants to change the world for the better, we need to come together to address this injustice and make the offender responsible for the harm they have caused to us veterans. If not, their inappropriate behavior will continue with no end in sight. Don't be the kind of person who observes this injustice being committed but chooses not to correct it. The only thing needed for evil to win, according to a quotation ascribed to Edmund Burke, is for good men to do nothing. I'll attach my military resume for your review. You might end up changing your mind about me after seeing it.
THE LATE MORNING SUN FILTERS IN FROM THE BAY WINDOWS OVERLOOKING THE GARDEN, SPILLING CHEERFULLY ONTO THE KITCHEN COUNTERS BEFORE WHICH THEY BOTH STAND. the sommerfeld home is curiously quiet this sunday in comparison to most weekends ; most of the kids are otherwise engaged, shoshana for a work thing, ezra studying in his bedroom, and the betrothed couple off meeting with a travel agent about honeymooning - at least, if mrs. sommerfeld had understood her firstborn’s clumsy, elated chatter properly on their way out the door. it’s IMPOSSIBLY pleasant to be left here to prepare lunch with paige alone, while judah peacefully prunes the roses in the backyard ; of her twins, paige is the one who seems to hesitate, to hold back, a tendency which miriam supposes she can thoroughly understand. ( she was no stranger to guarding herself in her youth, a fact which even today influences her in the rest of her life, in her parenting. ) warm, keen eyes find the young woman as the two continue their back and forth, their soft and casual conversation ; there is something DISTRACTED about her, something miriam’s honed motherly senses have picked up on through the lazy meandering of their comfortable chat, and for a few brief moment, she lets an easy silence settle between them. ❝ my love, ❞ she ventures after a moment, reaching over to squeeze paige’s forearm gently. ❝ I am not saying you must talk about it by any means, but you MUST realize I know that something is on your mind. your thoughts are always safe with me, if you’d like me to prepare some tea so we can have a chat. ❞ / @wtrss. sc.
THE WITCHER CUTS A SINGULAR FIGURE AGAINST THE REST OF THE WORLD AND HE KNOWS IT. an appearance like his does not easily go unnoticed, making subtlety difficult ; geralt’s true saving grace is but the fact that he can utilize the power to make others forget that they ever saw him at all. at least, most of the time. no plan is foolproof, something he knows BEST of all - but regardless of knowledge, the realization that something has gone wrong rarely proves any less frustrating. he sits in the shadows, at the end of the bar, as far away from the piano as possible, with his eyes fixed upon a man closer to the stage. a doppler. not that anybody else in the establishment is likely to KNOW that. his frown deepens when he turns his gaze toward her, stoic and hard. ❝ mh. must be mistaken. we’ve never met. ❞ bullshit. / @wtrss. sc.
While the man had left his checkered past behind him, there were certain habits that he couldn’t shake, especially after losing his wife, the biggest one being the fact he kept to himself. While that was a rule of thumb, the second that he watched his neighbor’s ex try to talk her up, he finished his beer and slammed the glass down on the bar table. Another thing he hadn’t forgotten was how to stand up for himself and those he cared about. Jesse wouldn’t have cared about a silly break-up his neighbor was going through except that he had spent the previous night has her human pillow hearing her cry over the jack-ass. Who clearly was trying to ruin her night out. Instead of staying cool, Jesse made sure he captured the man’s attention as he shoved him off Paige. A shove turned into one back, before anyone knew it, there were fist being thrown. Jesse wasn’t sure if the blood on his cheek was his or Paige’s ex’s but he didn’t bother to wipe it off as the two men were being pulled off of each other. “Fuck you, asshole!” Jesse spat at the ground. His ears were ringing and his knuckles were on fire, but he managed to get a few good punches in. Turning to look at the blonde, he huffed feeling the taste of metal in his mouth, bringing his thumb to his now busted lip. “—You’re ex-boyfriend is kind of a dick,” he murmured. Though that wasn’t really news to anyone, even as he said so, he had a smile on his face of the victory given how the other guy looked.
𝗈𝗈𝗈. ⠀CONTENT : paige “with” another girl (for the plot). reader is so terribly down bad. also, i don’t proofread so if you see typos or grammar mistakes i’m sorry. and this chapter is kinda boring but it's necessary soo.
𝗈𝗈𝗈. ⠀ WORD COUNT : 1.5k
𝗈𝗈𝗈. ⠀AUTHORS NOTE : yall seemed to like the prologue so i hope yall like this too!!
THEY’RE KISSING. and she’s enjoying it, by the looks of it. you can tell because she’s doing that thing where she pulls the other person closer like they could never be close enough. the thing she used to do to you.
it’s almost comical that the first time you see paige again, she’s kissing some other girl with eyes like yours outside the diner where you and the girls were. she thinks she’s being sneaky (she’s not). she always thought she was sneaky, you remember that much. in fact, you somehow remember everything about the blonde except what her lips tasted like. so of course you’re a little jealous, feeling a bit out of the loop. that’s normal. right? and maybe definitely it’s stupid to mourn so deeply over a relationship that you ended but, whatever, you can’t help that you miss her.
there was nothing human about the feeling, it was more like a typhoon or a volcanic eruption, something so completely out of your control. it was purely sickening…but whenever you see the peroxide-blonde with someone new, you find yourself apprehensively scanning their hair, their skin, the words that they would say –– always finding a hint of yourself within them. the delusional part of you wanted that to mean she still wanted you, but logic said that maybe she just started having a type. but then you’d think back to before…the paige before you never had a specific type. but since you? there’s an unmistakable one. but that’s not enough proof that she still feels for you. in fact, it’s nothing. it’s hard not to see yourself when you’re actively looking for it. you’d keep up with the torture by staring at paige kissing that girl through the window but then you feel a sharp kick to your shin from underneath the table.
“stop staring, perv.” nika mutters, rolling her eyes lightly. although nika was one of the few people who knew about the dead relationship, she didn’t know that your feelings for paige still lingered. she only knew what paige told her, that the two of you were friends.
“i wasn’t ––”
“you were.”
okay –– maybe you were. you sigh silently to yourself, taking a sip of your milkshake. this is the first time you’re actually hanging out with your friends together rather than just one on one (which you only did because you didn’t want to see paige). the two of you agreed to be friends but that was clearly not going to happen. however, you felt bad for denying your friends every time they asked to spend time with you. so, you sucked up your pride. you could spend an hour in paige’s presence, it wouldn’t kill you. at least not literally.
angel, a redhead who shares a dorm with nika and a major with you, is sitting in between azzi and you. she’s eyeing you carefully, after all, the two of you are very close and she knows why you and paige broke up. she also knows that you still care about her. her gaze is simultaneously suffocating and protective.
“...are you okay?” she whispers only loud enough for you to hear. you simply nod, munching on your fries trying not to look out of the window again. in truth, your head was spinning. you haven’t seen paige face to face since the breakup. you were hoping you’d never have to again…
then she finally enters, walking up to the booth. every step she takes is just as confident as they always are. her hair is down, running across the length of her back. her eyes meet yours, they’re more familiar than your own name. her beauty is still unquestionable –– but you wouldn’t admit it. it would make looking away from her even more difficult. so instead you pretend not to look as she sits down at the booth right next to nika…right in front of you. she pokes nika’s side just to piss her off before snatching a fry from angel’s plate and dipping it in her own milkshake. angel rolls her eyes but says nothing.
“that’s disgusting.” nika turns up her nose as paige bites it.
“don’t knock it till you try it.” paige dramatically licks her fingers. nika makes a fist, gently hitting the table a few times with her knuckles. you chuckle at nika’s attitude.
“what are you giggling about? you used to like it too.” paige mutters, smiling lightly but her words send a pang to your chest. nobody else seems to catch the bitterness in her tone….but you do. her eyes look almost guilty when she sees the sharp intake of breath you take. but before she could say anything else, you look away. you avoid her eye contact like it’s deadly.
nika clears her throat, eventually sensing the tension, and turns her attention to azzi whose eyes are close and head is rested against the booth. “you okay?”
“mhm…just really tired.” she mutters, opening her eyes to sip her lemonade.
you chuckle. “i bet you are, we stayed up all last night studying.”
“finals?” angel questions.
“yeah…” azzi mumbles.
“can we please not talk about that right now?” paige groans.
“says you, scholar athlete.” azzi mutters, rolling her eyes at the blonde.
“she’s too busy with that girl to focus on studying these days.” nika chuckles. angel looks over at you for a quick moment but you keep your gaze steady on your plate.
you nearly jump out of your skin trying to relax your tensing shoulders before someone notices. you ended things with her…she couldn’t even call you her girlfriend. so why did it hurt so much to even hear of someone else in your place? this wasn’t exactly the plan, you were meant to move on by now. but seeing her…again…all you can wonder is what she’s thinking about right now.
“who? cleo?” paige snorts. “we’re not talking about that either.”
cleo. cleo. the girl who just had her tongue down paige’s throat no less than ten minutes ago. you feel sick to your stomach at the mention but you hide it well, then you feel sicker when you think about how pathetic it is that you even felt this way to begin with. it’s just another indignity among many.
“why not?” nika mutters. “it’s more interesting than talking about studying.”
“true.” azzi adds.
paige looks over at you, her way of saying that she’s not going to talk about another girl in front of you. “where’s aubrey?”
you appreciate the conversation shift even if you know it’s in vain. they want to know about this mystery girl and honestly, so do you.
“late.” nika mutters.
“i ordered her food for her.” angel smiles softly.
“and she’s gonna wanna talk about the girl too.” azzi chuckles. angel’s leg shakes underneath the table, she’s clearly empathetic for you. she knows the girls don’t mean to hurt you but she also knows that it is hurting you. you wanted to relax her, make her feel less guilty for not saying anything even if she wasn’t participating in the conversation.
so you chuckle lightly, pretending to be completely fine and say, “can you please be still?”
“can you please be still?” you sigh softly, braiding her hair in its signature style. paige is sitting in front of you on the bed with her legs crossed. she has a game later, and she asked you to braid her hair for her.
“you’re pretty.” paige mumbles as you finish up her first braid, still squirming at your touch.
for a second you almost forget yourself, paige being damn near sickeningly sweet. she seems to notice how her words have temporarily struck you, pride swelling within her since she loves making you happy.
you shrug it off and remember that her back is facing you, so you chuckle at her commenting on your appearance. “you can’t even see me.”
“i don’t have to. i’m thinking about how your face looks right now.” she turns back to look at you over her shoulder. “pretty.”
you bite back a smile, turning her head back so you can braid the other side. “you’re corny, you know that?”
“i’m enamored.”
“oh, someone learned a new word.” you snort, continuing braiding her hair, being as gentle as you can with her. (though it gets increasingly difficult when she won’t stop moving).
“shut up.” she mutters. “i’m super smart.”
you finish braiding her hair, tapping her side to let her know that you’re done and she can go look. she stands up from the bed, long legs taking her to the dresser which has a mirror over it, she eyes her braids carefully. “they’re a little crooked, babe.”
you roll your eyes. “cause you wouldn’t stop mo––”
she turns back your way, walking back to you. paige towers over you while you sit on the bed, she puts a hand under your chin and kisses you. “i’m joking. they’re perfect. thank you, baby.”
“anything for you…” you whisper back and your words make her smile. it’s wide and toothy –– the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen.
11 pm weighs on the back of her neck like the proverbial kind of sword —— her spine won’t break, but fuck it, it’s exhausting: makes her wonder how she can feel so old and yet so far, still, from fourty. so numb and lifeless and a heart still fluttering with terror. 11 pm is an odd hour to be out of st. peter’s, an odd hour for her to get off her shift —— far too used to retreating at the crack of dawn, 11 pm simply feels wrong. so she gets out of the bar —— and quickly, within the span of a car drive, enters another. because joe’s piano bar is not st. peter’s, and though the crowd is far too different for comfort, though she’ll constantly feel out of place with her pearl jam shirts and dirt-stained tennis shoes, paige is the ace under her sleeve that can turn this night around, or just draw her a little more on the living side of this half life. or simply smile, and laugh, and say she gets it —— that this penitence doesn’t have to just be constant misery, after all. “ can i get a jack and coke ? but hold the coke, and leave the bottle. ” a dramatic huff, it quickly fades off —— she takes her place by the window, the usual booth, and there’s an awful, awful book in her backpack she’s been dying to dig into, but that’s not what she came here for, so freddie smiles instead: shifts on her seat, lets her back rest against the window, and sighs. “ any chance you can catch a break and sit down a second ? i’ll pay. ”
“ i don’t mean to alarm you or anything , but there is a very real chance i am going to pass out pretty soon now . ” 𝚒𝚝 𝚠𝚊𝚜𝚗’𝚝 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚗 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚋𝚒𝚐𝚐𝚎𝚜𝚝 𝚠𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍 𝚑𝚎’𝚍 𝚎𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚑𝚊𝚍 ! but it still dribbled rather consecutively on the wooden floor & he does see her more than once & ———
