GJ and ZZH Updates — September 17-23

This is part of a weekly series collecting updates from and relating to Gong Jun and Zhang Zhehan.

This post is not wholly comprehensive and is intended as an overview, links provided lead to further details. Dates are in accordance with China Standard Time, the organization is chronological. My own biases on some things are reflected here. Anything I include that is not concretely known is indicated as such, and you’re welcome to do your own research and draw your own conclusions as you see fit. 09-17 → MYFM hosted a video interview with one of the Zhang Zhehan impersonators. Addition 10-01: One of the jokes he told was directly copying one Gong Jun told in a livestream on 2022-11-05.

→ Hogan posted a promotional video spoken by Gong Jun announcing his attendance at Milan Fashion Week. They later posted four photos of Gong Jun in New York.

→ The scam concert in Kuala Lumpur was held. - In photos posted by fans attending, the venue looked to be less than half full at the time in started. Photos later released by the scam gang have the audience photoshopped to look larger than the venue even allowed for. - Zhang Sanjian wore a very cheap looking copy of the white Zhou Zishu robes Zhang Zhehan wore during the Word of Honor concert. (Also a reminder that the original robes were given away in a raffle after the WOH concert.) - [Here] is my post about the Bangkok concerts if you would like to revisit it, this one was much of the same.

→ Gong Jun posted 51 photos of himself getting to act like a tourist in New York. Caption: "Update world favourites." He also posted eight to his Instagram, caption: "Lost in New York" (originally in English) and sixteen to his Xiao Hong Shu, caption: "Did you see it?? I'm in New York", with both of these latter posts including a couple photos not in his Weibo post. Fan Observations: - The IP on the both the Weibo and Xiao Hong Shu posts are Beijing. It was posted while Gong Jun was on his flight to Milan, so presumably they was posted by someone other than Gong Jun himself; if he was using in-flight wifi, there's no logical reason for the IP to be Beijing. Gong Jun has said before that he does not let staff manage his personal accounts. - The Weibo post was also made shortly after the KL concert started. Consider again the "Did you see it??" XHS caption: Gong Jun is in New York, someone he trusts is in Beijing. [record of timestamps] - (Because I'm a nerd,) the statues Gong Jun took pictures with at the Met are Andromeda and the Sea Monster, Sappho, Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux at Work, and The Martyr.

→ Gong Jun's studio posted nine more photos of him in New York. Caption: "Traveling through the city corners, every moment is a moment worth recording~ Collect the world with @ Gong Jun Simon🏙️"

→ The Instagram made two posts, the first with two photos from prepping for the concert, the second with ten of the concert itself. Zhang Sanjian's appearance in these photos is noticeably different from in fancams.

09-18 → Gong Jun reposted a post by CCTV in memory of the Mukden Incident. Added caption: "Don’t forget the shame of the past, we should strengthen ourselves!" His studio did the same, added caption: "Don’t forget history, the alarm bells are ringing!"

09-19 → Net-A-Porter posted a teaser for the commercial featuring Gong Jun that would be released the following day.

09-20 → Zhang Sanjian was filmed at Heathrow airport, because he always needs to fail horribly at trying to one-up Gong Jun.

→ Gong Jun's studio posted a commercial he did for Net-A-Porter. The same was also posted by Net-A-Porter.

Xiao Chu's husband's company was recently sued 100k for her failure to deliver scripts, which definitely gives reason for them to be desperate for another source of income...

GG's Vlog #6

GG posted his 6th final vlog today (the first was released in September 2022). GG walks around Beijing and its surroundings and films interesting moments along the way. Of course, as always, there are some details that the turtles paid attention to.

"Pixel graphics". Another coincidence - the graphic style is very similar to the style in DD's recent video on the occasion of the debut anniversary. I don't know how popular this style is now?

Sunset. The sunset is mentioned again, just yesterday there was the CPN about the fact that GG said in the live stream that he “just likes the sunset.” The sunset is also mentioned in the caption to the vlog: ”享天边的晚霞 enjoying the clouds at sunset on the horizon”. The sunset is in the vlog.

Of course, we remember these words from DD’s birthday greeting: “The sunset is beautiful, like every last evening when you just walked along but didn’t have time to appreciate it.”

Windmills. They remind us of the BTS of «The Untamed», that shot where GGDD is standing on the hill, and in the sky you can see the cloud that looks like Cupid! They also sang “White Windmills” by Jay Chou together.

Amazing resemblance. To be honest, I even shuddered when I saw this:

Their similarities are becoming more and more great, it is impossible not to notice. Yes, I understand that such clothes are most convenient for walking around the city in order to “disguise” better, but... Even the pants are very similar! Can you tell one from the other?

«One Piece». We already saw this sticker on this video camera in the July vlog. This is Luffy's hat (though Luffy himself is not there, probably came unglued). We know how much both loved these characters and DD wore the similar hat. By the way, Sponge Bob is also visible on the camera.

Cake. In the video, in retrospect, was showed the same weird cake from the last birthday, about which there is the popular CPN that DD made it. I’m not sure that it was DD who made it, but there is a nuance here - this CPN is very famous, perhaps GG also knows about it. In any case, it’s nice that the cake is back in the vlog, and this particular frame was chosen for the video!

Selfie. Is this similar to DD’s recent “selfies”? Of course, all selfies are similar to each other, but the topic of selfies has recently been making waves in the turtle world, so the appearance of another one is very interesting! Who are you filming it for, GG?

Harmonious combination. Today DD posted his wonderful photos in the old style, as well as a video. And it’s surprising that the beginning of GG’s vlog is also in tune with this, even with the music. There is some subtle similarity. And most importantly, these posts were again made on the same day!

And a little about the numbers - today DD is very generous with kadian, the post with the photo was made at 15:18 (3:18), and this is the 1523rd post in the account. This is another crazy coincidence again! DD posted the video on Douyin at 16:38, 22 minutes before GG’s vlog!

And what I also liked about GG’s vlog was that he had at least a small opportunity to just walk around the city, walk along the streets and parks, ride the bus. I don't know how he managed it, but I'm glad it happened. I can imagine how he (and DD too) sometimes want to just be a normal person, just wander around and not think about the paparazzi and other predators lurking around the corner.

At the end of the vlog, GG asks, while climbing the mountain: “Can you keep up?” And I want to say: “Yes, GG, I’m with you with all my might!”

ybo sdc rehearsal vlog sweets 🍬🧁

first of all, it’s so cute that ybo acknowledged the people who did dance covers @ douyin. i wish someday yibo himself will be a stereotypical tiktok boy and do a dance routine lol.

this post is mainly to point out the fact that xzs and ybo are dating. hahahahaha! atleast their social media manager of sorts or video editors are. or maybe their bosses. who knows.

Most turtles were probably thinking yesterday when xzs released their vlog if the 24 hour rule will apply. It doesn’t have to be a long video too, it can just be a photo set because ybo does post stock photos too. But no, it was more than we expected. ybo responded with a long form rehearsal vlog of their own. Not really a kadian but look at how close the posting time is. Lol. It’s okay it they both did it at 16:00 but YBO had to post earlier so it won’t be too obvious 😏

The start of both videos showed a supercut of what you will see for the rest of the vlog and both starts at around 0:03 🤍

What are the chances that they have the same style in starting a long form vlog that was published a day apart?

we also have Web showing off his apple watch. Yes dude we know. XZ was also doing the same in his vlog even if we know you’re both endorsing other watches. Also as we CPNd yesterday, XZS was probably hiding GG’s bottled joy container. Compared to Bobo, it’s in there. Lol. Of course, he is their endorser so that’s okay.

i see some comments that say if one of them was a girl and with all these coincidences, most blogs will probably be saying they are real. het couples can have the barest similar things months and years apart and people will hold that as more credible. anyway, at least, this kind of thinking keeps them safe because it’s only turtles who pay attention and see this unless it is too obvious and so/os notice too. lol.

Now let’s talk about more sensitive matters, because as much as I wanna scream and shout when things like this happen we also gotta be careful. You may be seeing posts that say they are both in Shanghai. allegedly. Treat it as a fake rumor. Bobo is, but we don’t know about GG. Again, what is important is their privacy and safety. If they don’t wanna be found then we shouldn’t make it hard for them. I saw some comments that a “fan” tried to take a photo of Web and yanyan warned them off. We already know how yibo absolutely hates it when fans follow him around. Airport is probably fine like outside which is a public space and as long as people don’t delay flights and crowd. But he doesn’t like it when fans go to his hotel or whatever. They are real people and deserve to have their own time. The things we pick up and possibly future same events together should be enough.

To those who are going to the BJYX ST, you also might see “burn after reading” comments. The gist of what is going around is this:

GG got picked up from Hangzhou by a vehicle with a Shanghai license plate. His hotel stay in HZ was also refunded. There are also allegedly 4 photos but you can’t find it now.

I cannot confirm who this is from or how reliable. even if they were, it’s pretty dodgy how someone can have this information even if it feeds the CPN machine. Imagine someone stalking GG or Yibo at their hotel and looking at where they go. It’s a clear invasion of privacy even if you just see it in passing is still 50-50 to me. So i’m just putting it here to archive this incident. Again, this is going around BXG circles in weibo. There is no “insider”, especially in international platforms that can confirm this as 100% true. I am labeling this as fake rumor and fan fiction. 👀

Is this the real life, is this just fantasy, CAUGHT IN A LANDSLIIIDE - (April 2, 2022 rant & JunZhe IRL drama)

So ok. SOMETIMES, being in this fandom feels like it's its own real life DRAMA. Like, first we all stanned SHL/WOH, where two adult men find each other after years of toil and trouble, fall in love, fight together against society and its expectations, and go live their merry lil lives.

And then I get pulled into the IRL drama - aka two adult men find each other after years of toil and trouble and go on 'secret' one night dates, and EXCHANGING rings, and DEFYING c-ent expectations by supporting each other even through the highly competitive c-ent branding industry (i.e. sharing the same LIPSTICK and LINK sales for Tom Ford),+

and living and LOVING and SINGING their love to each other LIVE ON STAGE with their whole on-screen family and OFFSCREEN FAMILY watching (and where we all collectively lost our hearts and minds to them FOREVER) +

and STANDING BY EACH OTHER through thick and thin, and always raising each other up by their own hands and REFUSING to unfollow each other even after the world crashes down around them (813), continuously giving hints and love that each of them exists and are healthy and whole ("Auntie" and fried duck intestines), and showing off that they are SUPER married please DO NOT APPROACH (GJ and his many ringed fingers) +

and finally feeling a breather when one Uncle, one man who saw wrongdoing and took it upon himself to help out one of these boys in his darkest times, only to hold onto each other and to truth and justice and LIGHT as tightly as possible. Things were looking up and police cases were getting FILED and public opinion TURNED.

And even solemnly professing and going on an RP walk to the very spot his husband/laopo went to and telling the world on VALENTINE'S DAY with full I LOVE YOU FOREVER kadian that nothing changes even after the world has fallen and the earth is threatening to swallow them up - with continuous anti-scandals/ZSJ scandals/MERCH scandals,

And then said Uncle gets muted and the TRASH COMES FLYING OUT from all corners of c-ent, a man comes out to try and impersonate one of them, an ex-music manager takes advantage of his image and brand while he's so muted he can only release small leaked audio clips of him affirming his goals, his own best friend is so LOST he thinks he's supporting his bro but he has ties to the very ex-music manager herself so WHO KNOWS where he's coming from, +

and meanwhile his husband, his LAOGONG subtly posts on instagram that it's so easy to accidentally post things on instagram woops! I guess sometimes you can't trust what's on someone's Instagram post! He meant to post that sunset photo for his drama what a silly gougou, BUT US, WE'RE USED to him being a 50G internet/tech savvy person and know he meant something by it because it's impossible to accidentally post photos on instagram during editing bc it makes you confirm several times that you're posting! He also surreptitiously proved this subtle point by posting and instantly deleting a black and white photo of his shadow overlayed on soft polaroid pictures - clearly he KNEW that he could just delete, he didn't HAVE to announce to the world that he made a "mistake" - AND THEN +

His husband/laopo's instagram is suddenly taken out of private mode and starts accepting followers at midnight and his logo is now CHANGED and a sudden OLD photograph of him is shown on it - what curious timing this is! Right when GJ posted an out-of-character comment on his own Instagram. TIN HATS ON? MAYBE. BUT ALSO, IT'S GJ he does this shit all the time, Mr. Colander.

So the drama continues, our heroes, our protagonists are now dealing with a new foe in C-ent, the ex-music manager, the confusingly loyal but misleading best friend, the IMPERSONATOR.

Who will come next? What can we expect on next week's episode of SHL / WOH: IRL edition?

(ok but forreal these two's love for each other (even if you're not a CP fan or you don't believe in love then gtfo why are you here, but even so you cannot deny how much they do for each other) - their love for each other AMAZES AND DISGUSTS ME AND MAKES ME CRY INTO THE VOID. YEET MYSELF INTO THE SUN and it'll still be less hot than their IRL romance ok done)

Thanks so much for sharing your perspective. I've found your posts very informative and appreciate your time and effort. I saw you mention something about XZ's team not doing a great job responding to the situation, though of course they aren't to blame for it. If you don't mind, would you share your thoughts on what a better response might have looked like, and what impact it might've had if they'd done things differently?

One of the things that stands out most to me is how unprepared XZ Studio was when dealing with a PR crisis. It seems to me like they most likely did not have a strong social media team at the time who would have been tracking any trends or conversations associated with XZ. (By the point at which 227 happened, XZ Studio had already been established for about five months.)

It is pretty standard to track your artist’s name and keep an eye on trending topics, especially to get in front any major issues. As 227 began to develop, had XZ Studio been tracking the development on social media, they could have potentially defused the situation very quickly when the big call to action first emerged from XZ fans to report a fanfic to the government. It was so out of hand, and there was no statement from either the company or the artist that it seemed as though both were complicit in allowing it to continue, which is precisely why so many antis emerged, incensed against XZ’s apparent lack of action to rein in his fans and guide them appropriately.

Much of the backlash that occurred against XZ and his fans is because there was no initial response when the call to action first appeared - they could have essentially stopped it before it got too far and prevented AO3 and Lofter from getting banned. A simple statement from the artist and the management company to defuse everything could have potentially stopped the movement in its tracks, with the amount of influence XZ does have over his fans.

When things did go sideways, there still was no statement or even an apology from management or XZ, who was being criticized for the actions of his fans. Though it wasn’t his fault (technically), the ways in which his fans behave reflected poorly upon him as an artist and an influencer. Had he taken “responsibility” immediately and apologized, it might not have gone so far as a boycott against him that resulted in so many brands dropping him.

What I think a better response would have looked like once 227 occurred would have been this:

1. Immediately issue a PR statement condemning the actions of the fans and take responsibility for not initially “guiding” fans properly. Apologize on behalf of the company, the fans, and the artist. Statement should also include a note that states the offending content is merely fiction and that there is no truth to the story. There is no reason to be upset over something that is not true or defamatory, as it is imaginary. (This would essentially be a coded statement denying a certain relationship to begin the process of dissociating and creating a different narrative.)

2. Artist should issue a statement condemning the actions of the fans and apologizing as well. Call to action for any fans who might continue to act out to behave appropriately. Remind fans that fiction is not real, and to stop acting out against something that is imaginary.

3. Meet with Weibo privately. Ask them to help with community management to ban accounts that are breaking their TOS. Do this very early on in the process. Also, invest a good deal of money to hire an entire social media management team or a company to heavily monitor Weibo and aggressively report accounts that are engaging in defamatory behavior and potentially breaking Weibo’s TOS. Take legal action against anyone who is actively breaking the law.

4. Book an interview with a large media outlet or a well-known media personality. Allow and even encourage questions about the incident. Artist should condemn the actions of the fans who caused the incident and apologize to the public for their behavior. Artist should also say something like, “The story is fake/imaginary/fiction/not real.” (Saying something like that more or less demonstrates how dumb all of this is.) I am assuming that questions won’t be asked about AO3/Lofter being placed behind the Great Firewall due to China censorship.

5. Dissociate from anything and everything that might allow others to continue associating the artist with the incident. In XZ’s case, that means dissociating from WYB, because he’s associated with said incident given the fact that this was all caused by a fanfic. Put a moratorium on kadians and any other potential “interactions” that would allow fans to continue to have “content” to discuss on Weibo. The point here is to change the narrative - this way antis won’t also have content they can use to criticize XZ.

6. While this is happening, call all brands and schedule meetings. Attempt to rescue the brand deals. For brands who are very unhappy, offer a contract revision to suspend the contract terms for a set amount of time (such as four months) to see if the issue blows over. (It’s better to put it on hold than it is to have to try and get a new brand deal, especially once the brand’s annual sponsorship monies have already been allocated for the year.)

Potentially work with third party PR team to circulate rumors among XZ’s fanbase that he is losing brand deals to create urgency for a counter-campaign against antis trying to boycott XZ’s brands. If there are just as many people calling brands to support XZ as there are calling for a boycott, then it would potentially be a 50/50 toss up as to whether or not a brand deal manages to be saved. The fact that he is still sweeping all the awards that require fans to vote, often winning by millions of votes, and the red sea that fans managed to put on for him during the Tencent awards are undeniable symbols of his enduring popularity.

This kind of influence is staggeringly powerful - brands and media outlets that previously might have felt uncertain about XZ as an artist most likely will have positive sentiments towards him as a result.

So, let’s hope that 2021 will be the best year for XZ.

“Mom?”

“JASON BARTHOLOMEW SHEPARD!”

“Oh, here we go, she used the full name”

“Bartholomew?” Kaidan asked, trying not to laugh at the name.

“It was my grandfather’s name, c’mon K, don’t be mean-oOF!” Jason was cut off by his mother who had just reached them and in lieu of berating her son, gathered him up in a strong hug.

“Do you know how long it’s been since you’ve sent word to me young man?”

“I’m not really a young man anymore, Mom-”

“Three years, four months, and 27 days, Jason,” She said, gripping him tighter.

“I-I’m sorry Mom,” He said hesitantly, hugging her back.

“You’re damn right you’re sorry! Now you better buy me dinner and show how sorry you are,” She said finally pulling back far enough to look him in the eye. Jason knew he wasn’t out of the fire yet, but that glint in her eye told him that she wasn’t truly mad, just worried half to death with all the reports about the Normandy’s misadventures.

“And what kind of son doesn’t introduce me to this poor awkward looking man,” Hannah admonished when she noticed Kaidan standing there. Both boys spoke at once going to introduce him but Kaidan won out, stiffening into a proper salute.

“Kaidan Alenko, an honor to meet you Rear Admiral Shepard,” he said. At this Hannah could only chuckle, seeing as he was trying to be so formal after seeing her in such an informal state.

“Please Major Spectre Alenko, there’s no need for any of that. I’m not your commanding officer now am I? Shake my hand properly Kaidan,” she said, extending her hand. Jason was watching all of this with a smile, wondering if he would cave and tell his mother about his relationship or if she would figure it out by how awkward Kaidan was during dinner.

“Ah, yes ma’am, thank you,” he said, shaking her hand.

“Mom, we were about to head up to Apollos if you wanted to join us? I know it’s nothing amazing but-”

“What is amazing? Especially during wartime. I’m just glad to not be eating ship’s rations, boys,” Hannah joked, looping her arm around her son, gently steering the three of them back towards the elevator.

“After dinner I can show you the apartment Admiral Anderson is letting me borrow while we’re on forced shore leave. I’ve got a nice Batarian shard wine,” Jason offered.

“Oh, you and your shard wine, Jason, I appreciate the offer but you know I won’t drink that,” Hannah replied. “How about you, Kaidan? Also a shard wine drinker?” she asked.

“Not quite, ma’am. I’m a fan of a good ol’ Canadian lager and a shot of whiskey myself.” he answered.

“Ooh a real manly man huh? I’m kidding, haven’t had any good whiskey since I got shipped out into space for the first time,” Hannah said, winking at Kaidan.

“We managed to find some Peruvian whiskey, costs an arm and a leg to get though,” Jason said, remembering his get-well gift to Kaidan while he was in the hospital.

“I can only imagine, do you have any left?” Hannah asked hopefully.

“We should, we stocked up pretty well for the party for the crew,” Jason mused.

“You never mentioned that it was so expensive,” Kadian said, also remembering that gift.

“Of course I didn’t mention it, K. It was a gift, don’t worry about it,” Jason said back-tracking. Hannah just gave the both of them a bemused look before changing the subject.

“C’mon boys, lead me to this Apollos, I’m normally on a different ward of the Citadel,” she said, tugging Jason’s arm.

“Oh, yeah sure Mom, it’s just this way. They’ve got a really nice view of the Presidium from the outdoor seating,” Jason said, thankful for the distraction, however the look on Kaidan’s face made sure Jason knew that the conversation about the whiskey wasn’t quite over. Kaidan approached on his other side and said quietly to Jason.

“I can see where you get your great sense of redirection from,” he said, to Jason’s fake shock and dismay. Jason knew it was absolutely true, but that doesn’t mean he’d ever admit that.

“So Kaidan, I know you were on the original Normandy with my boy. He got so busy after Eden Prime he never called me, tell me all about what you were doing. Was he keeping up with his laundry?” Hannah asked.

“Mom!” Jason complained, “I’m 32 years old for Christ’s sake. Trust me, I do my own laundry,”

“That doesn’t mean that laundry has expanded beyond your fatigues in the last three years. It took far too much convincing and persuasion in order to make you get that jacket, if you’ll recall,” Kaidan admonished.

“Not you too, K!” Jason said with shock as his mother and boyfriend began laughing at him.

🍭🍬 : wang laoshi’s “Twenty”

Before we start, let’s take a moment to appreciate the masterpiece that is his new single 🎵 Despite his busy schedule, he still managed to do this. Happy New Year to Us! THIS IS HIS TIME. not trying to take it away by clowning, I’m very much aware that this song is HIM. It’s Yibo’s. It’s his gift to his fans and people who will hear it and need that message in their lives right now.

I already did a primer, with the first teaser photo we got over here ( Yi ) .

Part One

The Lyrics poster for the song was released 12/27. It was a simple design, to emphasize more on the lyrics. TRANSLATION IS OVER HERE. This is when we realized that the song will be called 20.

• A possible meaning to the number : 廿 is twenty, it means 挚and 爱 which both has 10 strokes, so twenty also means 挚爱 (True Love/Beloved). 20 kadian also 爱你 (love you).

• Initially, people were screaming because he used he/him instead of her.

• The lines were first thought to be that from a heart monitor. People got that impression first because of the fake rumor before that they send each other their heartbeat recordings ( from apple watch ) to each other. However, further research into it, more bxgs agreed that it’s more of the pattern you see in sound bytes. a stretched out version of it.

• this bxg tried to match what is being said, it’s “xiao zhan” and when you put it side by side to how Bobo says his name— it’s very close. 👀

• at TWENTY, Yibo was cast as LWJ in CQL. He filmed with Xiao Zhan and got to know him. You can say that it’s an important year for him.

• Initial clues from the teaser lyrics. “shooting star” / meteor which is a recurring theme for both of them. and that line “returning with you”. With who yibo?

Part Two

The Teaser audio was released 12/29, a short clip giving us a glimpse of what it will sound like and an album art (?)

When you first look at it, the art seems to be a hand painted work. Which reminds most of us of GG’s ideal life painting.

Now let’s look at the other details ⤵️

• The caption on this post mentions a glimmer that breaks through the night. It could be interpreted as Bobo being the “lonely star” but he’s not alone anymore. There is already a light in his life.

• I’m just adding it here even if i don’t personally buy it, but some bxgs are saying they see some images in the clouds. ☁️

• Now I’ll be going on some shooting star/star reference and why it makes bxgs 👀. Just a quick recap, to those who are familiar, this is not new to you. 1.) Kepler. The lyrics GG changed, i’m in love with a lonely star. 2.) In an interview, GG said, a person you love coming to your life, he likened to a shooting star suddenly appearing 3.) Bobo’s Kimi No Nawa wallpaper, which I discussed here. 4.) The Brightest Star in the Night Sky, which a song GG performed on CCTV. and in an episode of TTXS, when asked about a song, DLS said he thought Yibo would choose ( to describe himself ) .. you guessed it... Brightest Star in the Night Sky. 5.) His moto suit, which as this point, we are 95% sure is designed by GG. not just because of details, we have unofficial bts material that has them talking about GG designing on for him. lol. It has a shooting star.

• there in a LRLG rumor of Web speaking to GG on the phone, asking for a painting. 🎨

BONUS: same day, YBO and XZS posted the same time. time stamp of 20, which is the song title. and in the photos of XZS post, there is a literal NUMBER TWENTY. There are so many photos they can use as a template, so why that? And in the eve of Bobo’s single release.

Part Three

Single Artwork 💡

It looks like we were not clowned this year, there is a definite “theme” to this release. With this one looking like a hand painted work again. A Light. Light spot anyone? lol. Is the consulting designer of YBO at work here? 🤣

• QQ music and Kugou Music has two different covers, in a way that QQ’s is more refined. Compared to the other’s that you can clearly see the strokes.

• Another detective moment of details we can see. It’s not a stretch to think that there are hidden things in this art. It’s just that we can’t CONFIRM it. It’s all up for interpretation. But when I first saw it, I really thought there was a figure of a person.

Part Four

The SONG itself ; Take note that lyrics are not written by Yibo. but it’s not impossible to think that he had some sort of input. I don’t think he will be okay to release a personal single that doesn’t speak to him. lyrics translation here and here.

Yibo : ( explanation of his song in streaming platforms ) we are not dust, but stars scattered on the earth. // Soon, he sees hope and realizes there are many like him and he is not alone and is one amongst many shooting stars.

Xiao Zhan : we’re all made of shooting stars

Again, Yibo did not write this but the message is (probably) close to him enough that he decided to release it as his single. If we know anything about Yibo, everything he puts out has “him” all over it. The two songs have the same theme of “unity” / “we” , you are not alone. We are here for each other to succeed and love even if times are tough.

It’s not toxic positivity, they acknowledge that life is tough. It’s not always gonna be good but you still gotta fight cause things will be better. You have people with you. It’s such a good message cause celebrities like them, even with lots of fans, their life tends to get lonely. They are like other people too. We’re all sharing the same struggle. 🙏🏼

• Their similar state of mind & values / experience:

This is why they both got along as fast as they did back in 2018. If you look at them, they are different. Yibo is the active one who likes dangerous sports and making legos/ ride motos. Xiao Zhan is the artistic type who doesn’t even know how to properly ride a bike. the one who smiles alot. But those are just surface level things. What matters most are their values.

They both had struggles in reaching their dreams, during filming of UT, they mentioned talking about their desire to be Actors. How they will take acting classes. It’s more than just making money and becoming popular for them. It’s their dream. It never ends, they are always looking our for the next thing to do. New thing to try. There will always be a new dream to reach and they have each other every step of the way. ✨
