Boothill loves to kabedon you, especially if someone's trying to hit on you, to get your attention back. YOU, out of all people, they had to choose you - while he was right there. He wastes no time before pins you against the wall, the sound of crushing concrete catching you off guard when his arm hit the building, and finally turning your face at Boothill, whose own face was mere inches away.

If he feels a bit more unhinged that day, he kabedons you with his leg. Also, he might attempt to kick the person next to you in the process. He does like to do it when you aren't expecting him, so it gives Boothill yet another chance to steal a kiss from you.

Boothill finds himself biting his lower lip and not so gracefully staring at you when you wear a sundress, skirt, or - aeons forbid - a mini skirt. He swears something flips in his head like a switch, and suddenly he can't get his arms off of you.

"Someone's lookin' real pretty today, hmm?" The cyborg's hands massage your hips as he tilts his head to the side slightly, "or is it on purpose, to me all hot n'bothered, sweetheart?"

Now, you might find yourself in a situation, where Boothill wants to kiss you in public, but you're too shy - fear not! The cyborg cowboy will cover your kiss with his hat - he takes his hat off as he leans down to finally feel the supple skin of your lips on his, the other hand cupping your cheek; as the people pass by, only some bother to notice anything happening, sparing you a single glance.

Well it's all good until you remember there might be people on the other side, and Boothill has only one hat...

the idea that nanami has an incredibly sassy daughter has been in my head all day

he makes her upset and she just gives him the biggest side eye. she makes the most disgusted faces when he tried to talk to her. even has the audacity to huff at him 😭 like he had to take a breath mid argument and ask whatever entity exists where his daughter got all this attitude from.

she purposefully starts talking in only spanish to leave him out of conversations too. it’s genuinely the funniest thing hearing her tiny little voice talking to you while nanami lectures her about her behavior in an exasperated voice. she’s legitimately the only one that can get him to this state, besides gojo at his most annoying.

when nanami tries to apologize and asks her if he’s forgiven she only humphs at him and turns away.

“but i apologized to you, are you going to forgive me?””

“no! porque fuiste grosero conmigo!” (no! because you were rude to me!)

the only thing that earns him her affection again is the promise of a melopan after work tomorrow. he even gets a kiss when he says he’ll make sure to get the turtle shaped one

About his relationship with the Melusines: Melusines are a mirror to Neuvillette's sense of being an outsider in a world of humans and even further back in time still, so is their predecessor Elynas. Fighting Elynas to bring an end to the Cataclysm that swayed Fontaine was not easy, one reason being that he could sense its feelings of wonder and beauty towards a world so vastly different than it was where it used to dwell, even more so when he slowly noticed a change of feelings in its being and the realisation that its presence alone is the cause of destruction and despair in a world it had grown to love.

Taking care of the melusines at first was a manner of apology to Elynas at first who he had no other choice but to contribute with its downfall for the sake of Fontaine and of the rest of the world, as well as of his own health that would decline if the waters continued to be polluted. Melusines are also reminiscent of his own origins amidst the terror of the Cataclysm, a being born from calamity if you will, but no different than a lotus that will always rise in all its beauty above the mud. Melusines were to not be treated like a product of scourge and neither should he— he had to learn the hard way among an endless stream of insecurities intertwined with lack of knowledge of what exactly he is.

Joining the melusine community with humans in the Court of Fontaine wasn't completely selfless out of desire to fulfill their wish to live among humans. In doing so, Neuvillette hoped to alleviate his loneliness and sense of being an outsider because he wouldn't be the only one and that would bring him comfort in knowing that if he can't have it in him to establish relationships with humans, he could with melusines. Regrettably, this decision would bring them pain and so would to him as a result of his omniscience over feelings drown in water, as those humans who rejected the presence of others that were not of their race were exacerbated. Their thoughts more inclement than ever culminating with the loss of Carole.

However, an event of such caliber that could be treated as traumatic for melusines was a breakthrough and not only more humans began to see these marvelous creatures as more equals, but the melusines' unending wish to fight in order to make themselves a place among humans gave Neuvillette strength despite the sorrow he carried and, unequivocally, intrusive thoughts that maybe they wouldn't have to face this sorrow if they weren't brought to the Court of Fontaine, which soon dissipated.

Melusines are proof that one can be the way they are without hiding, opposite to Neuvillette that after half a millennia still struggles with a sense of belonging among humans or dragon sovereigns. If he can't do it for himself, he can at least do it for them who fought against too many adversities to not gift them with respite that they can live peacefully among humans as they wished.

Reason why he has no qualms in enacting new laws to ensure their safety and that they are respected such as rising awareness to people that they are to be treated as females. His compassion for these beings doesn't extend to the vicinities of the Court of Fontaine or the Merusea Village. He will go out of his way in his rare strolls in the nation's wilderness and teach human language to those who don't live in any community and make sure that their quality of life improves by respecting their decision still (in reference to Pahsiv specifically, but her case is special and that would lead in turn to his extended care to Vishaps).

Despite the fact that Clive likes children and is quite good at taking care of them due to doing his part in raising Joshua, he does not want any of his own.

He witnessed his mother's obsession with the Phoenix' blessing turn her bitter. He saw his father become grey over doubts and fear for his youngest son. He watched an entire nation place their hopes and dreams on his sickly little brother who he'd vowed to protect from the moment he first held him in his arms.

The Phoenix stopped being a blessing the second his brother's eyes turned golden with the first manifestation of his powers. Clive henceforth realized it to be a curse he could do nothing to alliviate and knowing that Dominants' powers tend to be passed down within one particular bloodline Clive has ever shied away from the thought of marriage, even before he realized his interest in men far outweighed the one in women. He experienced the way it could tear a family apart first hand and he would not have it happen again because of him.

He wants no part in perpetuating this cycle of mysery, for from what he has seen the Eikons only ever caused grief and pain when they emerged. Clive would not inflict the Phoenix (or Ifrit for that matter) on future generations.

Even MORE pre-release Boothill. Please bear with me im doing my best,, slightly sug/gestive in one paragraph 🤸‍♀️

I've read somewhere that Boothill short-circuits when he's embarrassed AND I STAND BY IT. 1000%. I am here to spread this like a disease. His system is definitely able to process his emotions, but when you do something that makes his heart skip a beat, he freezes in his spot, his cheeks gain the most beautiful scarlet color... And then you hear the worst combination of malfunctioning robotic noises, AND then sparks fly off of him. Might have to wait a few minutes until he comes back...

Boothill might look like he's calm outside, but he just FEELS the blue screen coming when things get too heated with no break whatsoever or too much fluids go past the protective metal plates. His body stops in place, is absolutely unresponsive, and his eyes flash blue.

Don't worry though, your Boothill has a restart button, right in the middle of his upper back, hidden by his half-vest (or.. whatever that is). He might overheat a little bit though, so be careful not to give yourself unnecessary burns.

In rare cases when his blue screens get REAL bad, you have to stick a USB drive he gave you in those special slots he has on the left side of his hips to bring him back.

Boothill most definitely does not sleep, but gets recharged by electricity or fuel instead. Perhaps that's the reason for the hole he has on his back? Either way, it gives you an opportunity to "plug him up", which he hates, despises even, to hear from you when he feels low on energy (he still wants a goodnight kiss btw).

Boothill swallows bullets. He also spits them out when needed.. usually, he's very careful not to spit them into your mouth when you kiss, but gravity betrays him on his worst days.

Boothill probably works like Siri or Alexa when battles leave him a bit too wounded. You might wonder about something, say it out loud, and then Boothill just can't stop reading the first thing that came up on Google.

"What's the best recipe for carrot cake?"

"2 cups (260g) all-purpose flour, 2 teaspoons baking soda, ½ teaspoon fine sea salt—" Boothill gasps and covers his mouth, "1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon, 1 ¼ cups (295ml) vegetable oil, 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar—"

He just can't stop.

Ok, so what’s your opinion on Glenn and little Seph’s relationship? I know you drew the hug scene and it was so cute!! Do you see them as brother-types, dad/adopted son, it’s complicated, or maybe something else? I’d love to hear! :p

Aw, that's a good question!

I see them more as brotherly or uncle-nephew relationship.

Glenn himself is only about 18-22 years old himself at the time of that mission, and even though I lean towards the older age of that range for him personally, that is just about 7-8 years older than little Sephiroth. It's obvious from Glenn's behaviour he isn't the most mature. He also constantly teases Sephiroth in a friendly but relentless manner. The little guy can't catch a break with Glenn, if he can find an opportunity to tease him. Like when Sephiroth opens up about the locket and picture of his mother and admits he knows it "isn't cool to ask" about his mom, Glenn reacts with laughter and "As long as you know!". Pulling his leg even in such a vulnerable moment.

Nonetheless, even Lucia in the game calls Glenn out on him having his "paternal instinct" woken up. It is in reference to Rosen, but Glenn shows equal concern towards both boys. I like how it is often when Rosen or Sephiroth are specifically not around that Glenn is openly wondering how they are doing or whether they need help. He once complains that Sephiroth simply won't "let" him help.

After getting over the initial anger, he really does care for Sephiroth and is quite protective and extremely understanding. When Sephiroth kills ALL Rhadorans he can find? Even the kids his own age? And says its justified because they knew how to fight, too... I can see usually many would have a horrified reaction to that. Especially with Sephiroth declaring he has been taught to kill or be killed.

Glenn seems shocked, too. But that is also the moment he hugs Sephiroth. Providing him with a grounding point and trying to guide him to more empathy. Softly. He doesn't scream, insult, scold or ridicule Sephiroth for his deed. He doesn't even mention it. he just realizes the fastest that Sephiroth was abused in all the wrong ways in his 'training' and he wants to help that kid.

Also the very opening scene? Where the flashback quickly changes to Glenn threatening to kick Matt's ass? That means he also used those words towards OLDER Sephiroth after already using them on young Sephiroth. A man who can stand in front of Sephiroth, the greatest SOLDIER of all time, who just killed several Behemoth's and seems distressed, about to attack - and Glenn seems to have taken that all for banter and then comes out with the raised fist and "I'll kick your ass!"-threat. That's peak older brother/uncle behaviour. And I think it's quite unique behaviour towards Sephiroth, I can't remember Angeal or Genesis being like this, they were more equals and serious... but me playing CC was years ago, so I might misremember.

Probably an early Sunday topic to address, but my Neuvillette lacks draconic traits remotely erotic (namely extraordinary size or doubles) and even less, he isn't affected by some magic lunar heat cycles nor he breeds. One day I will make a more in-depth post about his draconic traits, mostly physically. But just to play it safe it's fair to get this out of the way.

Loqi proudly enters Arasaka as a mechanic and soldier, building and testing mechs for the megacorporation. He graduated top of his class and early in the corporation's academy at Nightcity. His life was streamlined to be that of a loyal and bright employee.

Blinded by the glory and power of it all, Loqi arrogantly rose high - before he fell deep. One of the missions he was assigned to going sideways outside Nightcity.

Arasaka of course did not come to help - instead they wanted no loose ends. But before they could pick a badly wounded Loqi from his mech, he was rescued by old friends ( @rebelichor ) and brought to a premise of Lucis Corp. in the Badlands.

There he remains as mechanic under a new identity, officially KIA. That happening shook his loyalty and trust into the Arasaka corporation deeply - beside a new pair of prosthetic legs he gained a deep wish for revenge.
