column 432 “Verkiezingssprookje”

Het zal wel niemand ontgaan zijn dat we de afgelopen week verkiezingen hebben gehad voor de Tweede Kamer der Staten Generaal. Sommigen denken dat we een nieuw kabinet kiezen en een nieuwe minister-president en soms lijkt het daar ook wel een beetje op: je hoort enkel wat grote mannen orakelen en diegenen die straks het rode pluche (in dit geval: de blauwe stoelen) gaan bezetten komen nauwelijks aan bod. Ach, zo is dat nou eenmaal geregeld en ontstaan in onze parlementaire democratie, in onze constitutionele monarchie en alles staat netjes omschreven in onze Kieswet. Dat verkiezingen soms wel eens op een sprookje lijken mag ook duidelijk zijn. Er was eens…. En ze leefden nog lang en gelukkig. Wat daartussenin gebeurt, is voer voor psychologen en geschiedkundigen. Veel wol en weinig garen of v.v.; veel beloften met de wetenschap dat er straks een coalitie gevormd moet worden en dat menigeen heel veel water bij de wijn moet doen.

Stel je nu eens voor dat dit sprookje zich voortzet binnen een BVO, een betaald voetbalorganisatie. Eens per vier jaar mag het volk, de supporters, de beleidmakers afrekenen op hun prestaties. De beleidsmakers op hun plaats mogen beloften doen aan het volk en proberen zich daaraan te houden. Ze moeten, op zijn minst, voor de buitenwacht de schijn ophouden het beste met het volk voor te hebben, en proberen de economische toestand beter te maken, geld te verdienen om dat weer adequaat te investeren in nieuwe mogelijkheden. Ondertussen moet wel op de stand van het land (de club) gelet worden: en zal gezorgd moeten worden voor een goed systeem van orde, veiligheid, educatie en zorg voor het volk. Anders begint het te morren. En dan kunnen de beleidsmakers vuurwerk verwachten.

In dit sprookje ligt anarchie steeds op de loer. Dat hebben we namelijk al eens eerder meegemaakt. Als je op sterven na dood bent, wil je wel eens overgaan tot vreemde acties om lijfsbehoud zeker te stellen. Maar… in sprookjes komen ook altijd levensreddende prinsen op witte paarden voorbij.

Onze Russische prins kwam niet op zijn witte paard, maar met een Ferrari, Diablo of eigen airjet voorbij. Hij kuste met zijn, in Dubai verdiende geld, onze prinses wakker (mogen we hopen). Hij had zelfs zijn zwarte vriend meegenomen (Sylvana Simons zal er het hare wel weer over denken, al weet deze vriend geducht van zich af te praten) om wat orde op zaken te stellen, zeker wat het voortbestaan binnen de nieuwe prinsen en prinsesjes betreft. Maar onthoudt: … en we leefden nog lang en gelukkig.

Als verkiezingen dan sprookjes mogen zijn, mag dan het sprookje van onze BVO er een zijn volgens: “het lelijke eendje”.

I want to hug The Narrator so bad. Because he has a screen for a head, I imagine that he is warmer than the average human (due to being technological). Not to mention, he is quite thin— the perfect size for wrapping your arms around him and using him as a body pillow. His stomach would be big enough to fall asleep on, but not too big as to suffocate you or make you uncomfortable.

I also want to point out The Narrator's suit. Most suits are made out of cashmere, a soft, breathable fabric that can be somewhat expensive. I believe The Narrator would definitely wear a suit made out of cashmere fabric because it is extremely luxurious, and it has European origins. Snuggling into the suit would just be so pleasant because of how soft the cashmere would be (The Narrator could be like a soft mattress).

Next subject of interest is The Narrator's lap. His legs might seem like they only exist to make The Narrator look tall, but imagine curling up on the office floor with him, only to hug his legs. Your arms would be able to easily wrap around the The Narrator's legs, therefore making it easier to snuggle your face into his thigh(s), causing even more comfort.
