hey:)
i read your reblog about taking a drop. i'm taking one too and i want you to know that taking a drop sounds like losing a whole year but you are actually gaining it. i'm writing jee and i think you are too so i'll just keep it to that context. There are lakhs of people who prepare for jee across the country(quiet literally almost 12lakhs) and out of those almost 4lakhs are droppers and 2 lakhs are those who do integrated and upto 2 lakh in kota. so they are all studying over 14 hours a day without school worries, it is almost impossible to compete against them in our first year. this is why drop isnt a backup but a very basic necessity. if you plan out everything and dont waste this year i think you can even reach iit.
take this year at your pace, you dont have to worry about school at all its just you, your health, jee
i really think you got this:)
(i hope i helped you feel better and not scare you:))
oh my god thankyou !!! this is the first time someone has told me that i am not bat shit insane for considering drop. I ll leave my entire academic journey in the reblogs in a while because i feel like ranting ;)

Covid Impact on Construction Industry
The pandemic had a significant impact on India's real estate sector as well as the growth of the construction industry. Every other area of the global economy did poor. The construction industry and real estate sectors have recovered more than most.
According to a report on 99 Acres.com, India's building industry growth has lost close to INR 1 billion since the pandemic began. For many real estate developers and the construction industry, there was a lack of funds.
Due to factors like loan, residential sales in India's top seven cities fell from 4lakh units in 2019–20 to 2.8lakh units in 2020–21. The entire construction industry and residential demand fell by more than 40% in the first half of FY21.
The growth of the construction industry is recovering. Not that COVID-19 is no longer a factor or that the world is free from its impact. The industry, on the other hand, has learned from the first and second waves and is better prepared to tackle the virus while continuing to conduct regular business.
One of the most key criteria of the country's real estate recovery and construction industry growth is housing sales, which have surged by 71% in India and are 90% higher than pre-COVID-19 2019 levels. A Money Life.in article claims that the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) won this competition by selling a sizable 76,400 units.
Hyderabad saw a huge 197 percent growth in sales from 8,560 units in 2020 to 25,410 units in 2021. Pune has proven to be a strong opponent, with sales increasing by 53% from 23,460 units in 2020 to 35,980 units in 2021.
But why did this increase occur during or after the pandemic that caused every business and every person on the planet to experience a financial low point? Let's look at a few impacts of Covid-19 on construction industry.
Impacts of COVID-19 on Construction Industry
Supply chain management
In various ways, the supply chain has been disturbed around the world. Many materials used in the construction industry are needed, due to lockdown; these products are not getting to the construction site from outside, which is slowing the construction process.

The many materials that come from various industries inside the nation or overseas via various vehicles for the construction sector cannot come. Due to the inability of all vehicles to arrive at lockdown, the required materials are not coming, which causes the work to be delayed.
The factories that manufacture all of these supplies are also losing a lot of money because these are not being sold which has not only caused the construction industry to fall but also damaged the livelihoods of people who carry these materials by vehicle.
Transportation problem
Due to the nationwide shutdown, all modes of transportation have been affected. Because of this, no materials are getting to the construction industry, and no employees can commute to work from home. The work stopped as a result.
Labor shortage
First, the department is entirely closed down, making it impossible for workers to get to their places of work. Second, because the disease is a viral condition, employees are more likely to catch it when they come into touch.
As a result, many workers refuse to report for duty. Furthermore, it is impossible to force employees to work without any form of protection.
Financial problem
Due to the work stoppage, companies are not making any kind of profit; on the contrary, more losses are being incurred. Not only is the company losing money, but all of the suppliers who provide the necessary materials to various companies for use in the construction industry are also suffering major losses.
Since the company's downfall, the companies that make the materials have stopped manufacturing and the supply chain has been shut down, causing multiple losses of them. Additionally, the government is unable to properly collect taxes from these locations due to the closure of the construction industry and the non-sale of factory-produced goods, which has a direct impact on the GDP of the nation. When the GDP of the nation drops, it has an impact on the global economy.

India's official Covid-19 death count by the end of June 2021 was 4lakhs. A recent study co-authored by government's former chief economic advisor Arvind Subramanian is really the shocking one, India saw up to 49 lakh excess deaths during the COVID-19 pandemic. The number includes deaths from all causes since the start of the pandemic through June this year. Some experts have said excess deaths are the best way to measure the real toll from COVID-19. This report is based on sero surveys, household data and official data. It points towards a significant underreporting of deaths in the country.
The report has been prepared by the Washington-based think tank Center for Global Development and is co-authored by India's former Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian. Abhishek Anand, from the Harvard University and Justin Sandefur, from the Center for Global Development have put together the report. It acknowledges that there is considerable uncertainty within and across estimates. They range from about 1 million to 6 million deaths overall, with central estimates varying between 3.4 to 4.9 million deaths.
The most critical finding of this report is that regardless of the source and estimates, actual number of deaths during the Covid-19 pandemic are likely to have been much greater than the official count.
"Estimating Covid-deaths with statistical confidence may prove elusive. But all estimates suggest that the death toll from the pandemic is likely to be an order of magnitude greater than the official count of 400,000," the authors said.
Excess deaths are additional deaths recorded during a pandemic, as compared to a corresponding period in pre-pandemic years, and could be a potential indicator of undercounting in India's Covid toll.
The report states that the first wave of Covid-19 in India was spread out in time and space, unlike the sudden and concentrated surge of cases in the second wave. It adds that mortality in the first wave appeared moderate. But even the Civil Registration System (CRS) data suggest that up to 2 million people might have died in that period.

Quality education is a crucial aspect of an individual’s higher studies. For most students, it brings them closer to studying at a reputed college of their choice, sans excessive fees worries.
While parents invest in mutual funds, fixed deposits, term deposits, SIP etc. to fund for their family for the long-term but despite that one may encounter shortage of funds. Since the cost of education is increasing rapidly and to provide students some respite from high fees without compromising on their dreams, most banks have introduced education loan, which takes off financial burden to a great extent from the borrower.
So what is an education loan?
An educational loan is provided to students by a bank to allow them to meet the cost of higher studies which the student can repay once he has completed his course and becomes financially independent. It encompasses the tuition fee, accommodation charges, exam charges and other miscellaneous expenses.
Who can apply?
A Student is the main borrower while a family member can be the co-applicant. The amount offered to students differs from one bank to another.
Types of courses under which Education Loan is covered
An education loan can be availed for full-time, part-time, vocational courses, in the field of management, medical, engineering, architecture etc.
Loan financing
Depending on the quantity, banks can fund up to 100% of the loan. Currently, no margin money is needed for loans ranging up to Rs 4 lakh. For Inland studies, the applicant must self-finance 5%. For overseas studies, the necessary margin cash rises to 15%.
Currently, banks don’t ask for any collateral for loans up to Rs 4 lakh. For loans ranging from Rs 4 lakh- 7.5 lakh, a third-party guarantee is required. However, collateral is required for loans exceeding Rs 7.5 lakh.
Repayment tenure
The loan repayment generally begins when the student’s course is finished. Some banks even provide 6 months of relaxation after obtaining a job or one year after completing their studies.
Tumblr media
The period of repayment is usually between 5 and 7 years, but can also be expanded beyond that. The bank charges a simple interest rate on the loan over the course period. During the course period, payment of simple interest lowers the student's equated monthly installment (EMI) cover for future repayments.
J&K Bank brings for you education loans for your child’s higher studies both in India and abroad starting from Rs 4lakh and above. With a J&K bank Education loan an individual can enjoy myriads of benefits such as simple documentation, quick loan disbursal, tax benefit under 80(e), tenure with long repayment, etc.
Taking an educational loan helps one build a good credit score as this is the first loan in an individual’s life. Additionally,If you repay the loan on time, then it will also pave the way for you to get home loan, car loan, etc. easily in the near future.

Some of the salient points discussed in today’s global seminar on Covid under the banner of International pediatrics association (IPA).
Major speakers were prof Dr Jackob john , Dr NK Arora , Dr Vipin Vashistha.
1.Probably delta plus virus is the last major mutation that occurred at the human level
Delta plus used to cause syncytia pathological formation in the lungs that resulted in multinucleated cell which incited more damage of lungs and in turn hypoxia, fibrosis and hyperinflammation.
2.this mutant is going to remain for longer period and in turn becomes an endemic virus.
3.The newly born may not have immunity just like the influenza virus and** may** require regular vaccination.
4. omicron is not a variant (probably) but a deviant. Omicron is not in lineage with SARS Covid 2 . It has come up suddenly. In the sense it is an antigenic shift , probably derived from the infected rodents.
Hence the mutations occurred mimicked that of rodent antigenic .
5. The pathology here is not that like syncytia but like endocytosis
hence the damage is insignificant and will not affect alveoli and hence no hypoxia, lung damage
6. More pharynx liking , leading to throat pain.
7. virus more in saliva and hence throat swabbing technique has to be adopted here n nose samples to be avoided specially for children.
8. Keep the swab for 30 secs in the oral cavity to absorb more viruses to get omicron positivity.
9.the usual immunity against delta (or alpha) may not work here .but as the pathogenecity is less , it may not worrying.
*10.monoclonal Ab now available in India will not work against omicron.*
12.finally the COVID may end up with 2 types of viruses circulating -delta plus and Omicron
13. If we have flat numbers of cases for 4 weeks we can assume the endemic phase of Omicron has arrived.
14. Most likely by mid March we will have decline of omicron cases less than 10000 daily.
15.most likely Omicron is the last variant as virus will be adapted n will not have further mutations.
16. Routine pediatric immunisation will be a necessity for covid .
17. Inactivated vaccines are better for children as they have less side affects.
18. Still the best way of protection is use of a 2 layer mask/ tightly fixed mask or N 95 masks.
19. At present we have 78000 ventilators n 4lakh ICU beds ready in our country for facing any odd situation.
20. No pediatrics preponderance/ no severity in pediatrics population.
So far data show we have 1500 deaths till now in pediatrics age group. 2/3 in 15-17 years of age.
